I eat them only once in a while. Mostly I eat organic turkey breast slices as far as deli items go. I still eat a hotdog now and then. Pepperoni...love it, but don't buy that any more. I guess just like anything else...make substitutes and stop slowly. Cheese is more difficult for me!
I will admit to an old holdover food choice from my dedicated Atkins days: processed meats such as deli meat, salami, pepperoni. During the past few months as I have been trying to get down to a "normal" weight I have given all of those up and now only eat "real" and unprocessed (relatively) meats.
Today's news of a salmonella outbreak in Italian sausage had me SO RELIEVED that I have given up this kind of meat!
