I did this walk a few years ago and wanted to do it again this year! Have you started a team or are you just walking independently?

Howdy fellow Binghamton peoples :) Two years ago after I loss my little one I walked in my first March of Dimes walk. It was a little disappointing at how few showed up to walk. Last year was better, but I'm hoping THIS year will be even bigger! I raise money every year in my daughter's name. But I was thinking since this group is always looking for something to get out and walk for...why not creating your own March of Dimes group??? You can do it online and people can donate directly there. There is NO limit on how much you have to earn to walk or anything like that. Every penny counts though towards a great organization. They are researching ALL sorts of diseases and disorders, because they want to cure things in the womb to create healthier babies :) I would be happy if you want to create a team for you as me being team leader, but Since you Don seem to be the man I think you should head it up :)
Oh and not to mention they feed you lunch for free :) Last year applebees provided salad and they cooked hotdogs and I think burgers on the grill. Also free drinks including water :) It's a great fun day.
This year the walk will be on May 2, 2010 at Otsiningo Park. The walk starts at 11:00 but registration starts at 10:00. They are hoping this year to have more stands for people to look at, etc. And if things go as planned there might even be some wellness centers or something of the sort. Oh and the walk is 3 miles total.
