Just another reason I don't eat mammals. It's been two years now, and the last time I was sick, I responded almost immediately to the antibiotics I was given. I haven't been ingesting them in meat.

Yes, another all-too-prevalent culprit:

Love it! We have a lot of hunter friends and tend to use venison a lot of places other people use steak - more flavorful, lower fat and just generally healthier. We're looking into grass-fed beef too. We're trying to eat less meat in general, but we do love a good steak every once in a while!

Part of the reason beef is so unhealthy is that the diet beef cattle are fed to "fatten them up" does just that, plus it's unnatural for cattle to eat so much corn (their natural diet is a wide variety of grasses and herbs) which makes them prone to illness, and the crowding on feedlots contributes to fast spread of disease when they do get sick.

Aw, Man. I love me a big, juicy steak. We actually have a grilled london broil about once/week. I know it's not the best, but all things in moderation. There are just some things I can't give up.

We know meat isn't necessarily the most healthy dietary choice; it could also be a fatal one.

Sicknesses Associated With Eating Meat:

1. Prostate Cancer
2. Heart Disease
3. Osteoporosis
4. Kidney Stones
5. Food-borne Illnesses
6. Pancreatic Cancer
7. Type 2 Diabetes in Women

VERY interesting article which culls together many studies and their results!
