I usually walk at 5:15 a.m. but I love the summer when we are rounding the corner for home and the sun is coming up and the day looks great.

I could even stand this temp. if it wasn't so dark.
With the evenings getting shorter I will stop my evening walk. When its dark I get home from work make the dogs walk quickly and I am done.

And Hubby thinks we would be ok in Alaska. The fool

my sentiments exactly Don, "too dark, too cold, too soon". Since loosing over 100 lbs I'm always cold even in the summer, so I dread fall and winter! And like you I love to be outside in the sunshine (what little we get here in "gloom county" but hey we will survive. hmmmm SAD?, carbs?? hmmmm so that's my problem???

Is anyone else out there in the northern climes struggling with the fall season like I am...? As you'll see in my current status:

Too DARK, Too COLD, Too SOON!!!

Have to wonder about Seasonal Affective Disorder...! Since getting my SPARK on I've found myself craving the outdoors and sunshine. It's feeling like I'm going through withdrawal lately...ugh!

Here's an interesting slide show on SAD. I wasn't aware that increased appetite and cravings for carbs could be symptoms of SAD!

It's already dark in the morning when I do my treadmill routine! At least my internal "clock" is catching up with the dark. I don't wake up with an alarm clock...just do it on my internal clock. Had a few oversleeps, but not many and now? 6 a.m. and I'm UP!

How're folks dealing with the seasonal changes? Care to share any of your experiences? Strategies?
