LOL! Great one!

I have been crazy crazy crazy crazy busy! I have been making time for cardio, so I'm back on the wagon with that, but my SP posting is even more down as a result! I'm looking forward to November, when Ryder's football is over so my routine will be easier to manage.

Here's a good one, especially for you gardeners out there:

The Italian Tomato Garden

An old Italian lived alone in New Jersey. He wanted to plant
his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard.

His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

Dear Vincent,

I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won't be able
to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.
I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.

Love,
Papa

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Pop,

Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried.

Love,
Vinnie

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived
and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Pop,

Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do
under the circumstances.

Love you,
Vinnie

Although I have been crazy / busy with:

my 60 hour work week,

no water in our house for 3 days,

mastering the art of shampooing, scrubbing up and rinsing with only a half gallon of water,

a well that appears to be drying up (I believe our area is experiencing a never-mentioned drought...we live only hundreds of yards from the Chenango River!),

arranging for a pellet stove installation to avoid $500 / month fuel oil bills year round,

having six replacement windows installed,

and preparing for a mini-trip to Niagara Falls, Canada to visit our Canadian friends the week of 10/20

Despite all of this I WILL get out on my bike this long weekend of what promises to be stupendous weather at least TWICE for LONNNNNGGGGG travels to restore my equilibrium. If I DON'T, I'm going to be pretty unbearable to be around! GRRRR!

Can you tell I've spent too much time away from my bike? :-)

this team seems pretty quiet to me too. I am hoping everyone is out enjoying these wonderful autumn days.
