I haven't tried the 30 Day Shred, but I've only heard good things about it.

If you get on demand programming through TWC, they have a couple 30 day shred programs free on channel 973. I'm not sure if it's the entire program or if there is more when you get the DVDs (probably) but it's a good way to check it out!

I like Colleen's (yellow) spunk but I do think she should have thought more on the bet/auction since it was only her really that could participate AND it has been proven that week 2 was the worst but she felt she had to try. I also like pink and purple so I have not "picked" a team to root for yet either.

I have not tried any of Jillians DVD's/videos - scary thought LOL. I wonder if you could get that at the library to try it out before you bought it?

I missed the first episode..I think it was the same night as Heroes...and I'm totally addicted to that!

I'll try to watch it onlie this week. Has anyone tried Jillian's Shread workout? She claims you will lose 20 lbs in 30 days. I was going to buy it and give it a shot to jumpstart the winter.

I really enjoyed last night's episode. I still haven't picked a favorite team, though. There are too many that I like!

I like yellow - I was so impressed with the daughter doing the challenge alone and keeping in it as long as she did. I don't think yellow will be in it for much longer, though. It would be awesome to see them stay long enough to really start seeing changes in the dad. I did think it was incredibly stupid for them to bet on losing so much weight. I don't know if any amount of money would be enticing enough to risk automatically being up for elimination if I lost.

I like the pink daughter (not sure about the mom) and I think I like the purple team, too.

I want to try some of Rocco's recipes. I think I'm going to try the pork stir fry with orange-peanut sauce tomorrow night.

BL tonight but also the new season of NCIS starts - time to pull out the tapes (nope I am not up to the new technology of DVR yet - lol)

I should be able to pick who I am rooting for tonight. Yellow or Pink so far I think (ha ha I am a poet)

I know it's unrealistic, but I love watching. What a luxury to spend weeks holed up with nothing to do but work on physical changes! The typical person can't expect results like these, but I'm motivated nonetheless by the contestants. I have no idea yet who I'm rooting for.

I teared up when Jillian was telling the yellow dad that if he gave up it would probably be it for him! You could see on his face the rest of the time just how serious he is taking this.

I like the non-working out stuff they included in the first episode, like the doctor's visit and Jillian's explanation of the Body Bugg.

I can't wait until next week!

I love the BL show - yes it is unrealistic for most of us - but hey so is the rest of reality TV - guess you just have to be smart enough to know the difference and remember it is there for "entertainment" - LOL I like Survivor too - so I guess I am a lost cause.

I actually find it quite motivating though - I like working out on the treadmill while it is on - I pretend Jillian is yelling at me - then I get off the treadmill - walk over to the punching bag and punch "Jillian" in the mouth emoticon . Just kidding

I have to wonder though - how do those hubby/wife teams do it - both being out of work for 12+ weeks with no income. LOL I guess I couldn't afford to go on the show.

I was happy with the team that got booted - I think I am rooting for either pink or yellow ... what about you guys?

I struggle with the Biggest Loser as I WANT to like it...as it offers HOPE to folks who might feel condemned to their obesity, BUT the means they use are so artificial and beyond the resources of 95% of folks out there!

As a result it is an artificial process that seems to promote MAJOR weight loss QUICKLY! This is generally not a good idea for most folks. Too many viewers already become too discouraged too quickly and I fear the Biggest Loser may contribute to this problem.

I've seen a few episodes and there IS a lot to like if one watches it KNOWING what is or isn't feasible or practical for ordinary people.

But hey, in general I just am not a TV kinda guy. Very little out there holds my interest. Give me my pc anyday...lol.

Me! LOL - but I guess that was obvious. I wish I had Jillian or Bob as my personal trainer. They motivate me.

I always get angry the first couple episodes of any season, because there's always someone who isn't working as hard as they could be, totally takes the opportunity for granted, and then is surprised and even snotty when they get voted off. I wish I could spend 12 weeks on a ranch where my only job was working on me!

I just notice Shannon's comment on the huddle wall about the Biggest Loser! I didn't know it was starting and now I think I'm going to plan to watch it... Anyone else planning to check out the premiere?
