Don, a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share allows you to buy a share of a farm's crop or other output. Usually there is one or more designated days and times to pick up your share, either at the actual place or at other designated dropoff points. So I could buy a share (or some allow you to buy 1/2 shares) and for every week for the designated time period I will pick up my bounty of the veggies, fruits, etc. at the pickup point. Some include meats, I even saw one a while ago that includes herbal teas and handmade soaps and lotions! Some have requirements for time worked, but most don't. It's a great way to support our local farmers and get the freshest foods at a reasonable price!
On the right side of the site I linked to, you can do a search for CSAs near the zip code you enter. They are fun to browse!
