The colors have really "popped" out recently haven't they?!?! I think Friday was the first day where I sat up and took notice...had a bit of that "wow!" experience. Happens every fall. :-)

I'm loving the foliage. This is my second fall down here and having come from flat, geographically boring Rochester, I'm loving every minute of the fall. My mom came down yesterday and we drove around running errands, and she loved the scenery. My boyfriend is not as impressed since he grew up here. But I appreciate it!

I always forget about Farmer's Markets. I should mark a calendar or something. Got a pumpkin at Cider Mill yesterday, though.

Letchworth is amazing. We used to camp there when I was a child. I can imagine how beautiful it is when the leaves are changing.

If you decide to do Ithaca, try to catch the farmers market. I found it by accident. It has a little of everything.

You know, have never done Ithaca's gorges in the fall...great idea!!

My wife and I may head up to Niagara Falls this October to visit a Canadian online friend of hers. Along the way I hope to take a detour to Letchworth Park, which I hear is quite the stupendous park which I have yet to visit. Looking forward to that!

1) More of this wonderful weather!

2) Longer and longer bike rides!

3) Pulling the plug on fuel oil and firing up my new Harmon pellet stove which runs at a fraction of the price of oil. It will feel SO FINE to thumb my nose at BIG OIL!

The things I am most looking forward to are (in no particular order)

1) Apples!
2) Crisp weather, perfect for walks and hikes
3) Getting back into a school-year routine
4) Seeing my 10 year old's first football game!

What I'm missing out on -- Tai Chi! I planned to resume Tai Chi class this fall, but it conflicts with the football practice schedule! It starts tomorrow, but it looks like I won't be doing it. Maybe the next time, after football is over.

I'm only this far, and only tomorrow leads my way -- #41, DMB
