It is in everything: bread, almost every yogurt except Stonyfield Farms - even Activa! Cereal, creamer, crackers, granola, Peanut Butter, Salad Dressings - lo fat mayo... in fact almost all LIGHT foods are loaded with it. I always choose the FULL FAT version and stick with the serving sizes.
The Kashi Go Lean bars dont have it and taste pretty good. Same with their crackers.
Although I try to be diligent about not letting high fructose corn syrup pass these lips, I've recently found out two of my favorite things contain it -- and I can't yet bring myself to give them up.
Minute Maid limeaid bars (cherry and lime, mmmmmmm) are the first, and I've actually not had one of those in a few weeks, so maybe I can give them up after all. The other, is one of my favorite snacks when I need something or want something that seems indulgent -- Quaker 90 calorie granola bars. Why, why, why???? I'm so mad at Quaker right now for making these delicious treats that are irresistable.
I'm only this far, and only tomorrow leads my way -- #41, DMB
Yesterday I caved into a sweet munchie fit while out with a client grocery shopping and bought one of those little green Russell Stover NSA bags of Toffee Squares...SNARF, GONE! Just can't handle the sweet stuff...! Oh well...it's a rare indulgence.
