Yup! I used to use software from Calorie King but the log here is very good as well! (Especially once you get all your favorites logged in and saved)

Instead of taking my car, I walked at lunch time for 15 minutes (3 quarters of a mile) to take some mail to a mailbox!!

Plus I did 30 min on the exercise bike this morning and went 12 miles!

I just noticed inputing my goals that I have "done something active outdoors" for almost everyday so far in August except that one totally rainy day. Hope I can keep it up when school starts in 2 weeks!

Congrats NG! As I get closer to my goal weight, I find myself becoming a bit more blase, "eh, I've lost enough, just maintaining will be okay by me..."

I admire your stick-to-it-iveness!

I think even tho I'm sorta blase, I can still brag a bit as for someone who has mono, I've been really sticking with my cardio very well...and adding TO it actually, through dusting off my bicycle and getting out for some *flying* time... :-)

Holy cow! I couldn't believe it this morning. I stepped on the scale just out of curiousity, not expecting to see anything because I have only really been trying to exercise and focusing on my food for a couple of days now BUT 1.5 lbs! IN all reality it's probably just the fact that my body is getting rid of all the crap that I have been putting into it lately but it's a great feeling and definitely great motivation to keep moving! emoticon

Great job, Nurse!

Today it was 238!

Well I didn't quite make the 10 pounds in June goal. I did lose 7 pounds which makes a total of 17 since I started on May 10!

I also took full measurements today to get ready for July and I lost 6.75 inches! Biggest area of loss for me was my hips - 2.5 inches!

YEAHHHHH!!!I am quite happy because I had the back injury and it did not stop me. I have to be honest, if it wasn't for the support of SPARK and all of you, I probably would have fallen off during this injury.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

I try to eat from the ww menu -- that is, until I discovered the turkey and bacon ciabatta. It has a cranberry onion chutney that is devine, swiss chees and mayo. It is the greatest sandwich I have ever had, and I am normally not a fan of turkey. I shudder to think what calories that thing contains!

Ok, forgive me for speaking of such naughty temptations!

Kobe, great job! I admit, I don't know if I'm strong enough to overcome the temptation of Applebees. I love their food.

I am familiar with the Beans with a Twist -- they're yummy!

That is wonderful Kobe! Yes it is the little things that count. We have to find non-food ways to reward ourselves, I know I like to go out to eat spur of the moment and that has to change. If I plan ahead for eating out, it is fine.

Sometimes our spouses think they are being nice and helpful. I am lucky my hubby is with me on this, seems like Shannon has a supportive other half too. But even they can challenge us, especially if they start falling off their plans.

nurseg - you are doing FAN-FRICKETY-TASTIC!!! especially since you have had to back down on your activity and work it back in slowly emoticon

I have a little accomplishment to report - My hubby wanted to go out to eat last night and I (VERY reluctantly) resisted!! He even offered to go to Applebee's...I LOVE it there - he hates it. WOW - I am still amazed now that I didn't cave in and go.

I went home and had Birds Eye "beans with a twist". Frozen steam & serve - the twist was it had cranberries in it - weird, but good. I ate the whole package (oops) but still "better" than Nachos or a cheese burger.

Here's to all of us getting there one little baby step at a time and celebrating these small accomplishments along the way. They are important. emoticon

Lost another pound! I am now officially into the 230's! I started at 255. Yeah!! It has been at least 3 years since I saw the 230s. 10 # more until the 220s!

I need 4 more to lose in 6 days for the June challenge - can I do it?

Also I tape measured and in three weeks I lost over 2 inches from just my neck, hips and waist. I'll take it! I have my other measurements but I think I will wait a couple weeks to give me something to look forward to!

Haven't had much of a reason to hit this thread lately but I wanted to today...

We won 2 of 3 volleyball matches last night - 1st wins of the season.

I DID get some jogging in after the games - 2.7 miles in 30 minutes. I felt great!

stayed within my cal range again yesterday.

all that and only down 1# this morning emoticon

oh well - next week will be better

I ate well yesterday with minimal snacking and I also decided to stop drinking entirely.. alcohol is not only not good to consume in excess due to your health but it's also terrible for your diet!

next on the agenda - get serious about working out!!

I took a new (to me) bike route yesterday! I'm new to cycling, so I haven't ventured too far from my comfort area near my home and to the Port Dickinson Park and back. Yesterday I rode over to the Cheri Lindsay park, picked up the riverwalk and rode to Confluence Park and back. It was a lovely ride, about 6 miles round trip. I did that on top of some wii fit minutes, and more wii fit today. My husband and I are hitting the track tomorrow and I'll do another bike ride and probably some more wii fit (it's addictive, which is good!) I love having an active long weekend!

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather with their families and friends!

or....resist the urge and go to the grocery store and buy....egg beaters cheese & chive flavor, and weight watchers wheat eng muffins and the already cooked bacon. I don't use bacon much so I buy it that way and keep it in the freezer - easy to pull out 2-3 pieces when you want it for a BLT, burger or egg sandwich.

put a half cup of egg beaters (70 cal) in a small (1c)bowl microwave about 1-2 min. it will puff up alot while cooking but strink right back down and makes a perfect size to fit on an eng. muffin. Then pull out 2 of those bacon strips (50cal) microwave about 30 sec put them on a toasted WW eng muffin (100cal). 220 cal total quick - easy - good.

I wished you weren't working too - LOL my walk earlier was a real quiet one could have used the company for some of it.

I'm a calorie-researching fool.. so I've discovered if you are going to order anything for breakfast there.. go with a regular Egg McMuffin or a Sausage Burrito.. both weigh in at 300 calories

They aren't listed on McD's website anymore so maybe they're gone.. though I did find the calories on the best calorie website ever (www.calorieking.com)

.....(drum roll please)..... 640 for the sandwich.. hopefully you don't have a hash brown & juice too, that would bring your breakfast total to over 920 calories!

So I guess that's why we should steer clear of those places!

Oh and GREAT JOB on getting your walk done!

congrats on passing up that breakfast by the way - I have probably had fast food breakfast once or twice since jan. I absolutely loved those steak bagels from McD's - I am afraid to even look at what the calorie count is on one of those babies!!

I'll even start!

Today I didn't bring anything to work to eat and I didn't eat anything at home... SO I went out to the bank this morning and REALLY wanted to just grab something at a drive thru to eat for breakfast emoticon

BUT instead I thought of my diet, my calories and all of you and I went to the grocery store instead! I bought 2 lean meals to eat today while I'm at work and now I won't be tempted to go out at lunch either!

YAY for me emoticon
