I visited candidadiet.com and yeastinfectionadvisor.com a lot - they have a lot of information. The thing I realised about all Candida sites is that they supply food lists, but not actual diets. So I had to spend some time in planning meals for every day. Because the sites also contradict each other, I ended up taking advice from them that suited me, or that sounded logical. I ate carrots, and used Xylitol during my diet, because I am extremely fussy and ended up with an even more limited diet! I learned to rinse quinoa extremely well before cooking it, to get rid of it's bitter taste. Quinoa salad with home made mayonnaise and veggies was a big staple. I love coconut oil for cooking with. I made Xylitol brownies as my "cheat" during the first 2 weeks (detox) to see me through the worst sugar cravings. I was still very strict, and allowed myself only one small piece a day. Funny enough, when my batch was finished, I did not crave sugar or chocolate any more either! I pray that you will be able to carry this baby to term and have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. I can imagine that it's exciting, bittersweet and scary all rolled into one! Can your doctors help you in anyway to help you thru this pregnancy without a flare up?
I am so new to learning about Candida. I have a lot of the symptoms that I've found on numerous sites, I answer YES to the questionnaires... so my YES numbers indicate that I have a problem. I know that I have a strong attraction to sweets and sugar, and I've had health problems that typically occur with Candida.
I'm really looking for support. What is the best place to look for Candida diet rules? I feel like I have only bits and pieces to solving this puzzle.

Hi. I have been dealing with Candida for the past year, after my second miscarriage at 20 weeks, when the doctors guessed that I lost both babies due to systemic Candida infections. I just found out that I am pregnant again! So I am again back on the diet (not so strictly yet), to try and avoid another miscarriage. Morning sickness is setting in, so I don't feel like eating much at the moment. It's from 16 weeks that my troubles start, as morning sickness ease and I can start eating again that the Candida flares up. I am quite scared, but also determined to make this work!
I think this group is so quiet because there is so much help out on the internet with committed site managers, and really good advice. And people who have used the Candida diet don't have weight issues any more, so they don't visit SP that much any more! I have been at my target weight for over 8 months already, and have had no problem maintaining it while following the Candida diet rules! Of course most people also get busy with their normal lives, and can't spend much time on SP every day. I only "pop in" every now and again! YAY.. people are alive on this board. I was beginning to think it was dead.. Why are there no goals set for the group? I would love to have alot more interaction from people who understand this condition. .
yes, but i am also running 4 miles 5-6 times a week, plus i try to keep my calorie intake to around 1600 a day or so. there are a lot of things involved in me losing weight. however I am currently following the candida diet though there are some variations for me, like I still eat dairy in moderation and potatoes and peanuts....again all in small amounts and that seems to keep my yeast problem under control, the most problems I have are with bread and really sugary stuff and really acidic stuff which is, from what i have read, the main problem causers. i have been on this diet for about a year now and it works really well for me.
