For those of us with a Candida problem know we can't use vinegar. The next best product to use is called Vitamin C Crystals- unbuffered by Solgar. Vitamin C Crystals is a white granulated powder that is tangy & tart. Just what we need to make our salad dressings taste great.
You can also use the Vitamin C Crystals to sprinkle on vegetables or tuna salad to spark up the taste. I'm sure you will find a lot of ways to use it. You won't even miss the vinegar!
Here is a receipe for your Basic Vinegarette Dressing!
1 tablespoon water 1/4 teaspoon unbuffered Vitamin C Crystals 1/4 clove garlic pinch of salt fresh ground pepper, optimal 1 Tablespoon olive oil several fresh basil leaves or parsley sprigs 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard, optional stevia to taste
Blend all these ingredients in a blender for one minute. Pour over cooked or raw veg's & toss.
For your other salad dressings you can use fresh lemon or lime juice. For a creamy salad dressing use eithee plain yogurt or silken tofu whipped up with some soy milk to make it creamy. Just add your seasonings, salt, stevia or paprika. Also good for dips!
