I'm a Zumba 2 user ( Love it). I did find out that you need to wear the belt (mine was included) with the Wii remote on your right side, buttons facing out. Dance on....

Kerl2, mine wasn't working because I had the remote in upsidedown lol... The instructions are terrible, try fiddling with it.

Janb - I'm not sure what the difference between remotes are and it doesn't say what you need so I'm assuming it doesn't need it? sorry can't help.

Hi JanB - I don't have Zumba so can't answer your question. I would expect it should say on the box or at least in the instruction manual. Since a couple days have gone by since you posted your question, maybe you've already used it? I hope you enjoy it.

I've just got my Zumba 2 but haven't done it yet. Does anyone know if you need the motion plus remote?

Thanks for starting this topic! I have Zumba 2 and have only used it one time. I did the same routine twice and was befuddled as to why my score didn't improve even a teeny bit when it seemed like I was hitting a lot more of the steps. I was so disappointed, I haven't felt like trying it since then.

I'll be trying the remote placement trick tomorrow -- fingers crossed!!

I'm so glad it's working! You're ready to have some fun! It will take a few times, but there's no way to not burn a lot of calories...even if you're only laughing at how you dance! Enjoy!

Oddly enough mine didn't come with placement instructions, I read the instructions so many times thinking I was missing something. On Friday I will try it the way you described and hopefully that will help!

I don't know if Zumba 2 is different....I only have the first one. But I know the first time I tried it, I put the remote in the belt wrong and it did not record my movements as well. It wasn't until a time or two after when I stumbled upon further "instructions" that I noticed the remote should actually go into the belt facing the TV screen, which doesn't seems right as it means the skinny side goes along your hip. But maybe just check for placement instructions and see if you have it right. And it should be down around your hips, not your waist according to mine.

Good luck! I like playing with mine! It's a great workout and you don't have to be perfect to enjoy it! Be sure you have water nearby! And don't forget to laugh and have fun!

This is absolutely the right place to post any question or comment.

I do not have Zumba so am hoping some other members may be able to offer advice. I did find a SP blog where someone complained about Zumba. Here's a link just in case any of the comments there help you. Good luck! I know I've read other Sparkers comments about loving Zumba so hoping you get past this issue.

Sorry if I shouldn't post this I just figure its wii related and I need some help.

I just bought zumba 2 and my remote works but when I do the dancing it doesn't acknowledge anything I've tried even just sitting there and moving my wrist to see if it was just me or what not and it doesn't do anything. I am not able to gain any pts and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, what they've done to fix it or any general help to fix it would be appreciated.
