Weighed in - this is second week with no loss - no gain. Must be the Thai food cause I am Wii-ing everyday and working up a sweat. I really need to get on the Salad and Fruit train and hop on off the Carbs. But is is soooooo hard. Time for me to Track everything again. I slacked off for 3 days now and am disappointed with myself so back to the drawing board !!!!

I did so good with my nutrition all day, had a light dinner, skipped popcorn at the theater and then blew it all late night with ice cream and pastries. :-(

45 minutes on my Wii Fit Plus - hula hooped, skiing, step exercises, and meditation. It was my first day trying things out and I loved it! Tried a penguin balance game and line walking but they drove me crazy...LOL

I was bad today - I didnt track at all and I didnt start working out til about 7:45pm and just finished now @ 8:30. Only did 33 minutes. It was a blah day. Hopefullly I will have more energy tomorrow and get back to my regular schedule tomorrow.

Today I am trying to get back in a routine.. so I did 30 mins of wii yoga and then I felt motivated and I did 20 mins of wii fit plus routine. so I am happy with it oh and my pedometer says I walked in all day 11 miles.

Taking one day at a time.
I know that I can do it.

Haven't checked in for a while. My vacation in early April got me away from the computer and the wii for a week and a half, and then I got home to discover we had some flooding in the basement (where the wii lives). MOst everything is fine, but we are tearing up the floors and walls so it's kind of hard to use the wii right now!

I am walking and using the treadmill and hope to get back to the gym routine next week.

Today was just 20 mins walking, including several flights of stairs. Hubby fixed a good, nutritious dinner for me tonight, which helped keep me within calorie range today. yay!

I am mad at myself today cause I only did 22 minutes on my wii yesterday. So today I will do E & A on the weekly challenge (since I didnt do it yesterday). I am still doing well on my food tracking. I think today is my 1 week of tracking everything I eat.

Tonight is Spaghetti with Turkey sausage Yum.....

No wii or walk today... emoticon I was incharge of cooking Easter dinner...turned out pretty darn good if I don't say so myself. Made pork roast in crock pot, veggies, and salad.

Hopefully tomorrow morning it won't be raining so I can get my walk in.

So funny that April is almost over and I'm just seeing this thread. Lol

I finished my first virtual race today. I did the 1 mile beginner walk, for starters. I walked it every day and submitted my best time today. I did a smidgen of Wii when I got back, but had to cut it short. I have some heavy housework to do today (burning more calories!).

No Wii today for me as too much work and then off to my Mom's. But, I did manage to get in some walking and strength and a little yoga. I needed all that as the rest of the day I was sitting at my desk for the most part.

I had an ultra sound this morning because of some stomach pains. Dr. suspects gall bladder problem. Hopefully, I'll get those results on Monday and see what's next.

I switch up what I do every day. There are some that I really like and I do them almost everyday, but some days I work on my tummy more or my legs more or just am in the mood to run... As long as you are doing something its all good.

Just finished 46 minutes on my wii and headed to the shower. Today is the last day of school for the kids before Easter break. Lucky Me

I haven't been getting on my wii fit as much so instead I try and make sure I take the stairs a lot at work to get a workout there. Just feeling a little discourage.

It's good to see some of the comments about getting in some variety. I think that is a really important thing to do. It helps keep us from getting bored & it also does the body good to have things changed up now and then. I think you get better results by keeping the body guessing.

I'm still struggling a bit to get in my previous amount of exercise lately. Busy work, travel and some other things are conspiring against me...oh, and that darn laziness bug that seem to be biting me daily. I'm working to bust through this.

I was getting a little bored with the yoga and strength routine I had made on the WiiFit (I had done it over 20 times in a row), so I decided to skip it today and just work on different games on the WiiFit. I clocked in 34 minutes and found some fun new stuff I hadn't tried before!

Happy Time for a Change Tuesday everybody,

I have decided to buckle down and TRACK my food. I am usually pretty good about tracking breakfast and sometimes lunch, but rarely dinner.

This week (started yesterday) I am using my tracker for everything (I Hope) So far so good. I have added more cardio to my Wii workout - Running, Cycling & Boxing. I need to lose 10 lbs in a month so I need to get with it. I have the workout everyday thing going very well, now to incorporate the tracker on a much more regular basis, I am forcing myself to keep track this week. Hopefully this will give me the kick in the pants that I need.

Did everyone get their week off to as good a start as Rayne did today with all that good Wii time? Nice. I didn't get in any Wii time today -- had to go into the office, then was home for a short while only, and now at my Mom's to spend the night with her. I did get in 30 mins of walking, so that's something. Tomorrow should be better for me in terms of exercise time.

Happy Monday my fellow Wii-ers,

Camping was a lot of fun, the 3 girls went swimming in the creek the water was COLD, I got my feet in and that was enough for me, but they were determined to swim (good thing it was in the 70's and sunny or they would have been little popsicles. I did not get nearly enough exercise, so today I did the Free Cycle around the Island and made it all 30 minutes - Finally. Got in 47 minutes on the wii today now I just need to stick to healthy food and I will be back on track. I hopped on the scale first thing this morning (bad mistake) and it said I was up 3 lbs. Good thing my weigh in is not til Friday or I would have been in tears, I might still be if my scale does not go back the right way.

This week was a bit of a disaster for me in terms of how much I ate and how little I exercised. Not very proud of myself. Traveling is just not good for me lately.

my wii scale is tricking me lately it goes down 1.2 then up 1.1lb then down and up and now i am down again. I try to weigh myself the same time everyday within a 2-3 hour block.

i would be glad if it would stay down without gojng back up he next day.

Not too shabby, actually.
I stayed within my calorie range, and in fact was a little low on carbs (which I thought would have been impossible to do as a vegetarian!).
I did 44 mins on the WiiFit and completed today's challenge #143, which I'll post about in that thread

I slacked off some today, I rode the bike (advanced) for 31 minutes and found all the flags, then I did the free step for 30 minutes and 3400 steps. I will have to increase my wii time tomorrow. Enjoyed the beautiful weather today :)

Rayne-Camping sounds sooooo fun! Its been far too long for me.

Yesterday-Body test on the Wii, 2 miles around the track.

Im a little bummed because...

1) Im having a hard time comitting to doing any of my strength exercises which was my goal for this week. I do cardio every day but in 2 weeks Ive only done strength one time :( I have got to get motivated to do it!

2) I made tri tip last night on the grill and its my weakness...I went way over board and had wayyyy more than the 3 oz I was going to allow myself. The scale reflected my red meat binge last night.

Today is a new day.

Well, After yesterdays Wii disaster,(see my Dancing with the Mii post) I am better today and more determined. I will not let some stupid machine ruin my day. (Shopping helped). No Wii for me this weekend since I will be camping with my 13 year old daughter and 2 of her little friends. I might need a few cocktails, but It will be fun and maybe I just need a break. My 16 year old son has decided that he is staying with his friend this weekend instead of camping (I think it's because there will be 3 girls running around). That means that dad has to set up the trailer with the girls..... (I better bring my camera for this one!!!).

Got in some walking around town here -- to client meeting, parking, etc. Not very strenuous; but at least I was moving. Also a little bit of exercise in my hotel room

I didnt Wii yesterday, but did finish the garage, we started about 9:30 and finished around 4. I have aches in places I didnt know I had. I wore my pedometer and It didnt work properly - It said I did 133 steps - NOT. I must need a new pedometer, so I cant even track how much walking I did yesterday so I'm kinda bummed. Oh well, I will be back at my Wii today and it will tell me how I did. The good news is that I now have an area in my garage for my treadmill, proform bike and the weight bench thing AND I can walk around in there and get to everything.

I just got done doing 30 minutes on the Wii. I burned only about 178 or so. Im kind of bummed because its the first day that I didnt get my 2 mile walk in. I was super busy and didnt get to go. Now Im feeling snacky. Im still within my calorie range but wanting to have one of these pulled pork sandwiches that is brewing up in our crock pot!! I had a few bites of just the meat so now I need to walk away.

Im exhausted. Tomorrow will be a new day and I have a great 4 mile walk on the bike trail along the river planned.

OMG I got on the scale this morning and was almost in tears, I was down another 3 lbs!!!! I weighed myself 5 times to be sure the scale wasn't messing with me LOL. I really am so grateful. I am now down a total of 13 lbs and some change and I am still on board and motivated. This is a new milestone for me.

Checked in on the Wii last night. I had 1.8 lbs to lose to get to my goal that I had set on there. So I went ahead and switched up my goal to lose a little more and added more time so that I can stay motivated.

I did a 2 mile walk burning 343 calories and stayed on track with my calorie intake. I feel amazing today. emoticon

Ha.. Sheenadee LOL I hate cleaning, but I am sick of the mess and have the time so I am working slowly but surely, By the way is your name Sheena?

Hey JELLYBEAN, You go girl, I hear ya about the muscles screaming. I have only been serious about this get healthy and include exercises for just over a month now and my body is not happy with my decision, but it is starting to come around. I am not trying to be like the biggest loser poeple,and lose 8 lbs a week, I am more of the "If I can manage 1lb a week or maybe even 2 lbs on a good week" I am estatic.

Today is put all the stuff back in the cabinets day and go on a scavenger hunt for stuff to go to the good will, they are coming on monday and I am sure I have a whole second house worth of stuff they can have (Just kidding, but I do have plenty). Planning to actually open the garage door this weekend and attack from the other side. There should be lots of stuff that the Goodwilll will get better use out of than I am.

I did rhythm boxing on the 10 min level twice, then advanced step twice, and every muscle in my body is screaming in protest!! But I LOVE it! They are going to have to get used to not being lazy anymore!

By the way, where do I get one of those goal tracker thingies at the bottom of everyone's replies?

Hi Everybody,

Well, I am sick of cleaning out the garage so today I started by emptying my kitchen pantry and putting in new shelf paper, Tomorrow I have to put it all back and maybe this time it will be better arranged and stay that way. I found about 20 excuses not to workout today, but by 11:30 I decided to hop on and just do 10-15 minutes, I ended up doing 48 minutes and as usual I will probably do a few more minutes this evening with the family.

Dinner is almost done - Crusted Tilapia with rice & Zucchini (home made of course).

Checking in for last night...

I weighed in and did a fit test. My Wii age was 35, last time it was 30 oh well. I did 2 miles around the track burning 300 calories, hitting my goal. I went to bed with under my minimum caloric intake for the day which I dont like to do but I felt like I had been eating all day and if I ate again it would be just to eat so that's that.

Sorry you aren't feeling well Sheenadee. That happens sometimes. Don't overdo just because you want to catch up. You don't want to end up sicker than you are now.

Come back to exercise but make sure you don't go beyond what your health allows. You will get they in a day or two and catch up then when all your strength is back.

Hi everyone - I'm behind in posting still as I've not been feeling very well (as several of you have also reported). Much better today though...knock on wood. The past few days I have stayed within my calorie range; but I'm afraid the illness gets credit for that and not my strength or will power. LOL Making it a priority to get back to a workout tomorrow as I've fallen behind there too. It sure is easy to slip into bad habits again so I need to snap back into the good streaks.

I didn't exercise either Saturday or Sunday; too lazy, I guess.

Monday, I was exhausted from working a late shift at the store, and really didn't want to drag on my exercise clothes and do some WiiFit. But I did it anyway. 33 minutes worth.

Same again; late shift and home after 8PM, but I did another 30 minutes. I actually felt better after the exercise, and my physical effort today was so much less straining on my back and shoulders than it was yesterday after a weekend of *not* exercising.

I tell ya, bodies are sneaky.

Excuses - Excuses or maybe Confessions???

Today is excuse day. Sunday I did not workout at all due to back pain. I was rear ended by a drunk driver about a month ago and Sunday was a painful day. Finished all my pain meds and was doing good for 2 days and then Sunday, well it was miserable. As for Monday, I was all ready to workout, had my workout outfit on and could not get my Wii to work. It wouldnt even come up on the TV screen, so my 16 year old son gets home about 7:30(pm) and it takes him a mere minute or two and poof, My Wii is working just fine. Turns out that when we had watched a rented movie on Sunday someone changed the settings on the DVD thing and that is why my Wii wouldnt work.

SO, Today (Tuesday) I am getting ready to get on my Wii and get back on schedule.

Hey RHOWEE - I love that crazy flapping chicken game, It really works out your arms.

Hope everyone is having a better week than me !!!

Good morning girls! I didnt check in yesterday so here goes (I'm at work so short and sweet)

I stayed on track with my calorie intake. A tiny bit on the high end due to a couple of slizes of DeLIGHT Pizza from Papa Murphys but I stopped at a serving which is growth for me.

I did 45 min on my Wii burning 311 calories! My goal is 300 so Im happy w that. I did mostly boxing, hula hooping, and some flying chicken game lol, Im still exploring the games.

Today was a great day, but my body is telling me tonight that I am getting long in the tooth. I've been using a body bugg for a month now and set new records for time of moderate physical activity, calories burned, steps taken. I did it by walking (most of the snow is finally gone), picking up doggie "presents" on our 1/2 acre of lawn, cutting down several trees, making Hospice rounds, and 15 minutes on my Wii. My hips, feet, and low back are askiing what the blazes happened today! Oh well, it will get better with time, she says hopefully.

My daughter has been sick all weekend. I woke this morning with the first signs of the GUNK. I know Im not going to feel like working out once it really hits me so I did a really great work out on my wii today. 10 mins free run 7 min mile. Then 30 mins on the bike 18/20 flags on the island course. I have yet to complete that course, but I will I swear I will!

I wish I could say it was a quiet, lazy Sunday, but I don't get those. Got up, fed the dog, drove 22 miles to lead the Sunday morning church service. The sun was finally out and the temp broke 45 degrees, so went and trimmed some trees. Then I watched the women's college basketball Final Four games and thoroughly enjoyed the games even tho I was rooting for Stanford. Sadly, I forsook my 15 minutes of Wii exercise, so will get back on the wagon tomorrow. it's supposed to be gloomy with some rain. And I will hopefully visit 3 of my hospice patients and enjoy Taco night at the Legion.

Good afternoon everyone! I didnt have time to post yesterday it was prom night for my daughter and I had an event too! It was hard trying to track my calories at this event last night but I did stay away from the potatoes and bread and stuff. I didnt have the chance to get on the Wii :(

Today is a new day. I am big time on track with my calories and about to go take a 4 mile hike with my kiddos at the River. Its an amazing 70 degrees today, bright and sunny, just got back from church, feeling inspired!!

I'm posing early so this is really what I did yesterday. I had an idiotic day at work. Nothing went right but everything worked out. I increased my steps. Saw an old friend I haven't seen for awhile and went to sleep at 7 p.m. about 30 minutes after eating my dinner. Up this morning at 6 which is 2 hours later than my normal wakeup time at 4. So I guess I caught up with my sleep.

Feel great and enegetic. Did a 35 minute Wii workout this morning. Ate breakfast and I'm going shopping after this sprint on Spark. emoticon

When I get home I'm going to watch my new Bollywood Dance DVD. Should be fun.

How do I get the Spark icon on my sidebar. I've bought it. Haven't started reading it because I just got it yesterday but today is the day!

Trying to get back into the swing and have to get organized. i had a great day yesterday, thanks to finally seeing the sun and being able to get outside. Today was another beautiful day, (sunny and the first time the temp has hit 70 since last fall!) but i was scheduled up the whazoo and did not get outside. Tonight it is supposed to snow! So tomorrow is another day and I hope to get some exercise in (today's and tomorrow's) as I generally do not work on Saturdays.

Hi there all! I just got the chills thinking aboout that wretched spider touching your hand LOLOL ahhhhhh!!!!

Chrimson, hang in there. If its Gods will (or whatever you believe) it will happen!

Check in for me: I am beating myself up today because I had a really high calorie lunch. We went to Chinese and even though I made a healthy food choice I forgot to tell them no sauce. I also over did it on the steamed rice. When I get home I am planning on 2 miles around the track and 30 min on the Wii. I will let you know how it goes.

Its a breezy 79 degrees here, I am staring out my window at work I cant wait until 5pm so I can home and get my butt outside on a walk!

Chrimson~ I had my first biological child when I was 35 after a history of endometriosis. I feel your frustration!!!

I'll check in. I went to the gym this am and did a zumba workout. Need to find/make the time to do more on my wii. Though I weigh myself daily in the Wii Fit Plus. The balance board tried April fooling me today!!

Working on batch cooking and trying to figure out how much is in a serving of my recipes!! Also working on keeping sodium within the correct range.

Hey Chrimson, I had my first(and only biological) child @ 37. I was told by doctors that I couldnt have children because I had had IUD's since I was 15 and they had scratched up and scarred my uterus. So keep at it, You just never know what can happen.

I have actually been doing some spring cleaning. My garage, which looks a lot like a tornado went thru and threw stuff everywhere, is getting a facelift. I have been at it now for 3 days and can almost see the other side (Its a two car garage) : ] I found a box of my grandfathers stuff which turned out to be little bags and bags and bags of things like screws, and hinges and plugs and washers and all kinds of little crap he used to keep in his work shop. He died in 1993, I guess I got the boxes when my grandma died in 2005 and just found them (Or maybe the time) to go thru them. It made me smile and remember the great love I had for my grandparents. It also made the "I have to go thru a lot more boxes" thing a lot less daunting knowing that I have no idea what I will find.

Yesterday I found a black widow spider in a box and it touched my hand as it fell, so that ended my adventure in the garage for the day. I HATE SPIDERS !!!! lol.

I have still managed to get on my wii fit, but have not worked as hard as I usually do. I am playing more of the game type stuff, Table Tilt, Penguin Slide, Bubble whatever it is, Tilt City, Juggling, stuff like that, but am doing it for at least 30 minutes.

Weighed in today and have not lost, but have not gained either. I need to be more choosy about what I eat and how much.

OK, enough blabbering for now. Its back to the Garage with my kids for more boxs.

Hey everyone I'll do a check in.
So my eating healthy is getting sooo much better, I'm still having hard time eating enough calories though, hence why I just hit stand still and don't lose :( I am really really working on it, although I'm not eating enough I'm told, it's healthy what I am eating, I do not eat out any more, it's a rare occasion, I bring my lunch and snacks and have been getting in 4-5 fruits and veggies a day :)

As for another thing holding me back with weight issues, come to find out the doc is 95% certain I have PCOS, which my mom had, and my sister has and is suffering with right now. It's a controllable thing and such, but until they finish the blood work and diagnosis they can't give me anything for it, but if I do have it, it would explain why weight loss is so hard for me and I always have bad acne and I cannot get pregnant. This is probably a lot for everyone to take in, but I need someone to share it with...I'm going to be 31 on the 20th and have not yet been blessed with a child and I fear my time is running out and I've been depressed about it. I'm hoping when I have enough money to finish the testing that we can get this taken care of.

As of right now it looks like we are looking at 6/9/12 for the wedding, it's not definite yet, but I will let everyone know when the date is. I want to be 80lbs lighter for the wedding by then hopefully.

I will be taking measurements tonight, see if I have changed at all in the last 6 weeks, so wish me luck on that. :)

hey everyone :)

Have had a cold for the most part of the week. Didn't get to work out yesterday got some sleep :) feeling better so am back at it today.

Really need to watch my calorie intake! think that's my biggest challenge! So today will measure EVERYTHING!!!! and not just estimate it!

Hi All - some of our teammates have asked about a thread to do a kind of daily check in. So I thought I would start that up here and see how it goes.

Please use this thread for any kind of check in that you want to share. You could use it as a form of accountability so that you report on your workouts, or staying within your calorie range, etc. Whatever it helps you to report or track I think is fair game for this thread.

If this is helpful, we'll keep it going each month. For now, let's just see how it goes and who is interested to report in during April. I'll be back later in the day to report how things went for me...in addition to workouts, I'll probably focus on my calorie intake as that has been a bit of a problem for me lately.
