I found that lately, I've really been liking playing Nevermore and MSI while sweating it out on the treadmill. Older In Flames and CoB seem to the do the trick too. Basically anything faster paced, which makes sense.

I recently downloaded some Mastodon (Leviathan, in case you wondered) for the first time, and I've been using it for my kettlebell workout and my running.
I'll have to check out the album from the OP, because I really need some new stuff.
Sometimes I listen to Andrew W.K. when I run if I'm feeling crappy. Yeah, I know it's cheesy, but it works to motivate me and I end up running with a ridiculous grin on my face that scares the children. :P

Oh I don't necessarily run. I walk fast paced. LOL. I do the same as when I wake up in the morning. I listen to the "ESTABLISHMENT". Some good Old Fashioned Metallica.

When thinking of your weight loss and fitness motivation & weight loss goals, remove all fears by:

1.Focusing on the good
2.Focusing on the objective
3.Focusing on the goal
4.Focusing on the solution
5.Focusing on my aim
6.Focusing on the true destination

I may try running to some thrash today because I'm in a Really Terrible Mood, i.e. cast mercilessly back in the ranks of the single. FEH

For running, nothing really beats death metal. Lately it's been a playlist consisting of Decapitated, Vital Remains, Dies Irae, and Gorerotted. Yeahhhh!

Eluveitie. But exercise is kind of a spiritual thing for me and the music is part of that... tapping into something primal, appreciating where my body came from and what it can do, blah blah blah. Sometimes Moonsorrow because it's intense, and 30 minute songs make it tough for the tempo to jolt to something where I have to work at a different intensity. Mastodon if I'm lifting weights because it makes me feel like a tough-guy hardcore kid.

The Hives is a good choice, they've got the balls-out approach which definitely ups my work out. I listen to a lot of Progressive Metal, but I have a pretty wide variety of stuff that I'll use when I'm working out. Here's a few of my favorite tunes.

Between The Buried And Me - Informal Gluttony
Son Of Aurelius - Facing The Gorgon
Arsis - Servants To The Night
Protest The Hero - Blindfolds Aside
Black Dahlia Murder - What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse
Cancer Bats - Hail Destroyer
Daughters - Recorded Inside A Pyramid
Converge - Dark Horse
Dethklok - Thunderhorse
The Fall Of Troy - Excreations
Into The Ocean - And The Mountain Gave Birth To A Mouse
Alexisonfire - This Could Be Anywhere In The World
Job For A Cowboy - Embedded
Mastodon - Divinations
The Number Twelve Looks Like You - Grandfather
Periphery - Icarus Lives

Deicide always has me running hard. Slayer and Pantera are also always a good choice.

Last night I saw Motörhead with Rev. Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy. Horns up!

But I like to work out on the elliptical with Turbonegro or The Hives. The Hives aren't metal, I know, more like garage rock.

As of lately I have loved running to the sounds of the album Elil by Fall Of Efrafa. The dynamics just seem to really inspire me to keep going or take it up a notch or whatever... I just thought I'd let you know.

I'd love to know what music inspires you while working out?
