Yeah, I know I'm late on the discussion but I have also heard of this concept. I did not venture to pay the $39.95 for the information that the site offered. I bookmarked the link and tried to took at it again when writing this, but the page is gone.

I think it's the one where you exercise before eating and try to combine certain foods while changing your total daily calories up or down drastically every several days. That way, you never hit a metabolic plateau and lose weight consistently - in theory.

Sorry, Gerald; I was confusing myself last night. I knew that you were NOT promoting the so-called diet, but I did not realize you were asking questions.

I think that there is something valid to the notion that eating healthy foods at the correct intervals can make a difference in your progress to lose weight. Because I have diabetes, I make sure I eat healthy foods every 2-3 hours. I have lost about 30 lbs. with this meal schedule combined with drinking lots of water and cardio exercising almost every day. I know lots of people who have lost more weight than I have in the last 9 months, but 30 lbs. is a HUGE success for me. I attribute this success to learning what works for me and constantly finding ways to keep me on track.

So, yes, my personal experience says there is validity to eating healthy at regular intervals. emoticon

I am not sure about the validity of the other claims from the site. I like to do research so I may do some this weekend regarding the other claims, and get back to you all with what I find.

I am not promoting any diet plan.
This was about the information contained in the sites pitch.
Items were extracted that seemed to have validity, the question was do they seem valid to you?

Gerald, thank you for posting this information.

I agree with both you and Sen. Obama: change is the way to go if one really wants to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle.

Any "diet plan" that requires me to buy something other than healthy food and add to my daily eating plan is something that I always avoid. I have enough trouble paying for food and all my medications!

Look into your heart, work towards your dreams, and they will come true.

While reading I ran across the words FAT BURNING HORMONES. Yes my curiosity was peaked.
Well of course it was a advertisement, but I decided to read it anyway to see if I could find any truth in

what was said. I will not give you the site as I am in no way promoting what they do for it is diet plan.
The only plan that works is to change lifestyle.

If you wish then read on but the following statement is very true.
It's insane to repeat the same behavior while expecting a different outcome.
What Sen. Obama claims to want for government is what you must have to lose weight successfully, change.

So as you read the below ask yourself.....
Is there truth in the below claims??

FOOD is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because the FOOD that you eat can either

make you THIN or FAT. You don't get fat because of a lack of exercising, that's a myth. You get fat

because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

Is there truth in this??

Also, the pattern that you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight

loss pills. This is true because your body is like an "engine" and it only needs certain foods at certain

intervals each day, and if you don't eat the right foods at the right times then it won't burn those

calories -- and you'll wind up storing those calories as fat tissue

If you begin eating 2,500 calories per day then your metabolism will adjust itself so that your body begins

burning 2,500 calories per day.

If you try to starve yourself by suddenly eating 1,000 calories per day then your metabolism will again

ADJUST ITSELF so that your body begins to burn only 1,000 calories per day. That's why you have failed in

your past dieting attempts, that's why you always seem to fail when you try and starve yourself.

positive thinking all by itself won't remove a single pound from your body.

HORMONES INVOLVED IN FAT BIOSYNTHESIS AND OXYDATION

Acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACC) enzymes exist as two isoforms, ACC1 and ACC2, which play critical roles

in fatty acid biosynthesis and oxidation....Inhibitors of ACC enzymes may therefore be useful therapeutics

for diabetes, obesity, and metabolic syndrome..

Your metabolism doesn't know how much food you'll eat tomorrow or the next day because those days have not

happened yet.

Therefore, your metabolism always burns calories based on your eating habits during the past few days --

because it assumes that you'll continue to eat in the same general way.

Guess what? You're about to shock your metabolism by doing something you've never tried before -- you're

going to do the OPPOSITE of what it expects you to do. You're going to NOT continue eating the same types

of calories and meals for more than a couple days at a time, and you're going to lose a lot of weight by

doing this.
To make this work you need to SHIFT the types of calories eaten as shown in our diet on the next page, and

if you do this then your metabolism will burn all of the calories eaten.
