CHELLI-
So how is the green drink benefiting you? Have you noticed any change in your normal symptoms? You're getting extra servings of vegetables in your drink...a bonus! Did you get a kit to test your urine pH? I ordered mine on line...believe me,it's not high tech! I looked forward to testing every morning,to see if my readings were normalizing.

And how in creation do you keep from having gout flare-ups? What's your secret?

Oh, there is no way I could go all green. But I will see how the green drink does. I only mix up one cup at a time and so far it hasn't been too complicated. Thanks for sharing your experience with me.

HEY MAMA!
I've been down the Green Road. I sent away for some green powder and pH drops, and a "kit" to test my urine pH. GET THIS!!! At the same time,I was on Jenny Craig...totally processed food. I think I was drinking about 2 liters of green drink with pH drops per day.

After 1 month,I could defintely tell a difference in my energy level, mood, pain level, regularity, brain fog, skin problems & dandruff, and my urine pH was reading normal.

BUT...I could never totally commit to eating GREEN. Basically, the only alkaline foods are vegetables, sprouts, nuts & seeds, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but the list of ACIDIC foods is ominous! Meat, fruit (except grapefruit & cranberries),grains, dairy, coffee, and I'm forgetting things from this list, too.

I'm not trying to discourage you...like I said, I could definitely tell a difference in many of my chronic symptoms. I thought it was extremely limiting, and I knew I couldn't eat that way the rest of my life.

But just by drinking the Green drink with the pH drops, I got some great results! I think I would do the capsules next time, because you need to drink the reconstituted powder within an hr.or so,and it did get kinda icky towards the bottom!

Also, like if you want to fix soup,it can't be hot. You need to be able to stick your finger in it for so many seconds, because if it got too hot,it would kill the live enzymes. They promote mainly raw veggies.

Let me know your progress...I encourage you to "Follow the Green Road" for yourself. You will no doubt see some changes in your body and mind!

I read that by eating more green and less meat, I could lower the acid level in my body. The article also mentioned other alkaline foods like lemons, millet, and watermelon. I began drinking between one and three lemons a day without changing our diet much. This didn't seem to help. I had good days and bad days. On bad days though I started taking spirulina tablets before going to bed at night and I could actually walk, not shuffle and limp, when I got out of bed in the morning. I have two bottles of a green drink powder wtih barley grass and seaweed in it, so I decided 3 days ago to start trying it. So far, so good. It is lowering my acid levels and I can feel a difference in my hand. I have even been able to open the jelly jar! I will let you know how my experiment goes. emoticon
