Sorry you are having a hard time right now. I know I haven't posted a lot lately but I do enjoy seeing the daily challenges and I hope that the team can work together to keep them going.

Traveling today so had a hard time getting a walk in. Usually walk at rest areas but was rather cold and damp on the way to Chicago. Walking in place while the fam watches a movie to get my steps in. Going take at least 1/2 hour so I hope that counts!

Keep a green tree in your heart & perhaps the singing bird will come.

Hello all! I am glad this weekend is over. My four year old celebrated her birthday, and the party was a lot more work than I expected. Oh well, you do crazy things for the ones you love :)

I have been struggling with lots of stuff lately. I need some serious time to overcome these hurdles. I will continue to post challenges like normal, up until Wednesday night. After that, I hope someone (or multiple people) will step up to take over as leader. Additionally, I am using a blog for therapy, and I would love for you to follow along and support me. It is very raw though. Totally unedited, and I don't just mean the grammar and spelling, although I intentionally left mistakes. I didn't want to edit myself at all. The emotions are very real, they have previously been difficult to confront, but blogging and getting them in black and white is so helpful. It is www.puttingoffthenaturalwoman.blogspot.com. Thank you!

As for today's challenge, I am happy to share some good news from a book I read called, "Live a Little". It was written by and doctor and psychologist. They knock out health and fitness myths that people often try to follow only to beat themselves up when they are unsuccessful. I highly recommend it. Anyway, they shared a study showing health benefits from exercise. If a person, we'll call her Jill, is sedentary, she will experience myriad health benefits by adding a walking routine to her life. However, if she adds a running program, the benefits above and beyond a walking program are marginal. This means that you don't have to be a top 3 finisher in every race. You don't have to sprint around a race track. Today, I want you to fit in 30 minutes of walking. Good luck!
