Hey! I'm new to SparkPeople and fairly new to Zumba. I've been attending classes 1-2 times a week for the past 2 months. I absolutely love and wish that my gym offered more evening sessions.
This topic is wonderful and has helped me find almost all of my favorite Zumba songs. Thanks so much! Unfortunately there was just one that I wasn't able to find (actually, I expected it to be the easiest to find since it's partially in English) and I was hoping maybe you guys could help me. :) I'm almost positive it's a ZIN song because my teacher seems to only use them. If I remember correctly, the majority is Spanish, sang by men. But there is a part where a woman says (something along the lines of), "I know about you, but I got lost in your arms. If you could only find your way back to me." Anyone heard it?!?

Does anyone know a song with parts that say "porsha, porsha. x4" don't know how to spell it. You lean forward moving feet & hands side to side then stand straight on the porsha part moving right hand straight up then bring down to chin and moving elbow to the right with forearm parallel to the floor and then lean to left and do the same thing with left arm. Hope that makes some sort of sense to someone.

I love my intructor's playlist...just about everything on it is fun. But my faves are:
Jai-Ho! This is Tha Song La Patilla She's Hotter
There's also this fun little song that sounds like "moshi, moshi ba ba bum". It sounds like J-Pop, but she said that it was either Brazilian or Venuzuelan...I don't remember.
I'm also collecting songs for my own playlist and am working on stuff for "I Know You Want Me" by Pitbull, "A Little Less Conversation (JXL Radio Edit Remix)" by Elvis vs. JXL, and "Hyperactive" by Thomas Dolby.

"This is the beginning of a new day. I have been given this day to use as I will. I can waste it or I can use it for good. What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, Leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, not loss; good, not evil; success, not failure; In order that I shall not regret the price that I paid for it." -Unknown

Hi, was wandering if anyone could help me with the name of these two songs we play in our zumba class. Here are some of the words (i think) that i can pick up: 1. oh oh, oh oh dali zum ba ba dance boy I need. the rest is in spanish.
2. to the right baby to the right... to the left baby to the left. this one has alot of skipping and you heel toe from left to right.
DANCINGRAVEYNS: I spent about an hour trying to figure this one out. Our instructor called it "La Quebradita". While researching for the artist's name, I discovered that Quebradita is the DANCE and the song is Zu Bailaito. You may be interested in the comments with this video:
I am also looking for a couple of Zumba songs. There is one in particular I'm having a really hard time finding. The instructor couldn't tell me who sings it but it's called something like Capueda (I clearly can't spell it right) and part of the lyrics go something like "Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh oooooh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh ahhhh!" and it is a female singing. It isn't an incredibly fast song. Any clues?
** Change is like walking an uphill, rocky road: you will stumble, you will fall. You may even roll downhill a bit. You will be tempted to stay down. You'll ask yourself "why bother"? But, if you pick yourself up and just keep pushing forward, eventually you'll get to the top and have a beautiful view! **
I'm trying to find this song and its in spanish so it makes it even that much harder to understand the words...but here is what might help someone know it.
It starts out really slow at first and slowly speeds up and gets going really fast and then the music stops for 3 seconds or so. Then goes really fast and stops again. Then starts up and slows down and just cuts off. Its only like a 1 minute song because its SO fast and your legs are killing when your done working out to it. We do the pony hop to it when its going really fast. Like I said its in spanish but it sounds like the guy says "Now hey a telamo a telamo, hey hey a telamo" He's saying that as the song is starting to speed up. Then he speaks so fast I cant understand it and then says "stop" and the music stops.
I hope this helps..its a horrible example of the song.
It's called Gata Brasilera! Not sure on the artist since my zumba songs are all categorized by "Zumba" for artist. You can find the whole song on youtube though!
Does anyone know the song, in the beginning it says, "Move your body to the left, move your body to the right" and then toward the middle there's a part that says, "Now shake it, now shake, now shake it ..."
