does anyone work with kettle bells? I'm wondering how/if they fit into this program. Many thanks!
Also, I'm wondering if I should be doing the routines laid on on my fitness tracker AS WELL as the bootcamp? Not sure how that works.

I have a question. My big problem is Love Handles, or back fat...so anything I can do, to expedite the process of reducing them, I want to do!!! Any ideas?

Thank you, I think I have it under control now, I just unsubscribed to all notifications. I get the stuff from Coach Nicole in my mail and I am happy with just that. I will just go and look at the boards when I want. Yes, there are over 11,000+ people on the team to start! I have been a member of this team for awhile and think I'll just continue to hang out here!LOL! It is a very good boot camp and I will just add the new stuff to my routine! Thank you.

The emails are always a problem. People get excited and start posting. I think there is a time lag between when you uncheck the boxes and when the email notifications stop.

I strapped on my pedometer and will make it an accessory all year! I did that 15 minutes of that new Latin excercise dance work out, Zumba. What fun that was! I found it on UTube! I have a question for the long time members of this team. When you fist started on this team last year did you have so many new threads started, especially when Coach Nicole says, Don't start new Thread on the new You Bootcamp Thread. I almost took myself off the team after receiving 100+ new emails, and then I looked at manage your teams and my boxes that say notify me of this and that are all unchecked and I was getting the mail anyway? Does anyone on here know why I still get them even though the boxes are not checked? Why can't people read the directions before they sign up for something? and no I do not expect an answer to that one, just retorical!

Today I did the Day 1 video and the SP 15 minute ab video I found on YouTube. It's not much, but it's more than I have been doing lately. 8 weeks from tomorrow is my black belt test, so I need to amp up my workout. I'm glad I found this group and finally got back on sparkpeople again.

Hi guys, I have only been doing this since last wednesdy. I got an email that said they aren'tdoing the daily challenges, but in the team digest there is a post for October challenges, you can get the challenges there. They will be having them for November too I hope. Good luck to you. I just found that you can post things like Mowing under other exercise. I am going to pay attention to what I do around this house that can show I am burning these calories. HAVE A GREAT DAY everyone!!

I'm the same way as LittleDee3. I'm a busy mom, so I get my workouts in where ever I can. Today I did 2 1/2 hours of mowing! Sometimes it's just a matter of parking the car further away to get more walking in or walking fast around the store. It just takes a little more imagination I guess when you have a lot to do each day.

Welcome TANJA30! I change up my workout. I usually don't last more than 2 weeks doing the videos straight through. Then I'll do maybe more focus using the bands, dumbbells, or stability ball. Sometimes I'll add a Bootcamp video to those or do 2 different videos in a day. Hey, whatever works best for you.

Done the video and the challenge today, besides the usual cardio. Days 2 through 4 seem so easy compared to days 5, 6, 7 and 1..... Do you do the videos twice or only once?

DUSTYFRO,
Are you using weights with your workout? If you are you may need to increase the weight and if your not you may need to try some.
I use a lot of different workout DVD's. I use Coach Nicole workouts when I don't have that much time to workout. A good DVD is Juliana Michaels SHRED, she's the coach from the biggest looser.
Hope this helps.

I just don't know what to do to get any results from this. I don't have a weight problem, just fat that I don't want. And all my work, all summer, has given me no results. I've lost no inches off of any part of my body. The only thing that seems to have worked is that I can do the 10 minute cardio videos without dying now. I'm in my 4th week of the bootcamp, and I've been working out since June. I don't know what else I can do to not have my belly hang over my pants.

E-CONFUSION -
Dustyfro - I wouldn't...I normally go by the idea that if the workout day is missed - it's just plain missed...trying to make up makes that day's workout a lot less enjoyable and makes you too sore to workout the next day (at least that's what happens to me).
Today I did my first 5K for another team...VERY tiring, but it was worth knowing I could do it!
I'll never look back, except to appreciate how far I've come!
I'm pregnant so the weight-loss will have to be put on hold until after the baby's born. :)

Well, I'm glad it wasn't just my computer! I was so excited the first couple times that I did them and they ran through with no problem, I couldn't figure out what happened. I should make a binder too because I have tons of other routines I always tear out of magazines - they are all in a basket though. I finally stopped tearing them out since I never end up doing them. I might have actually gotten rid of most of them.

I only do them once because I have my own routine that I added them to...if I did them twice I'd be HURTING! :)
I'll never look back, except to appreciate how far I've come!

I believe so but you shuld build up to it. I'm able to do them once so far. Next week I'll give twice a chance.

Are we supposed to go through these videos two times per day?

I've got to get the copies done. Sometimes my computer doesn't want to cooperate.

I need to save them to my faves - I have to go looking for them each time. It was good for me yesterday, 'cause then I found other ones that I wanted to try, but it might help me do them daily if they were easier to find.

I have each day on my favorites as separates plus altogether. If one doesn't work the other usually does.

'kay, I did the Day 1 and 2 videos, plus an abs video and tried to do the 6-min thigh workout, but for some reason, my computer isn't loading the videos today and they keep pausing, so I just did a ton of squats while waiting for it to load, then gave up. I did jumping jacks for quite a bit on the Day 1 video before I gave up and did the printed version. But at least I did something - whoo hoo!

Today I did the Day 3 video and biked a total of 60 minutes to the park and back before it got too hot. I think I'm going to start working in some extra core exercises or an abs video or something every other day, since that's one of the major areas I was to focus on, and I feel like my lower body is getting what it needs.

I haven't gotten off my lazy bum to do all of them yet. I'm going to do Day 1 and 2 now, so that I'm caught up for the week. I made a list of several goals for August to complete one of the challenges, but I think I'm going to change it to simply be some form of cardio 5-6 days per week and some form of weights 2-3 days per week. I'm eating pretty good, and my goals signing up a few weeks ago were just to get back to eating more fruits and veggies and exercising, so if I look at it that way, I'm halfway there!

Okay...I'm getting bored with doing the same workouts each day of the week...I think I'll change it up a bit and switch the days around. Who is with me? :)

I few days ago I started the videos and love them. They are just the right touch to add to what I'm already doing.

Will the 7-day Workout Videos still be available AFTER the summer? I have found them to be very useful, and would hate to see them disappear like this summer has.

The whole wheat flour makes for a dense muffin, which I like. You only need to eat one! If you want a lighter muffin try using whole wheat pastry flour, which is more finely ground and available in the bulk bins at larger grocery stores.
