Hey Guys,
I am working out every day for an hour, and watching what I am eating better, but I am not seeing any real results. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to see more weight loss? I am getting kind of discouraged.
Just one day at a time. :) Just one day at a time.

Hi I just read your post and I saw on the biggest loser that you should eat about 1 hour before you exercise and also eat after your workout.Good Luck keeping him in the gym.

I think you eat after a workout not before on a heavy stomach...maybe also he should see a doctor just to make sure nothing is wrong...how much does he weigh? Hope to hear from you...friends wendy

I know we are not supposed to start new topics, so I will post here, but I sure hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. I am trying to figure out what is happening with hubby inhis exericise or if he is doing something wrong. He has been hitting the gym about 2x a week after work since the new year, and he has a small snack at about 4:30 and then hits the gym about 6:30 where he does about an hour or so, and drinks his water while he is there. When he gets home, he tells me he is not hungry and not feeling well which I usually don't believe and often think he is just trying to get out of his vegetables. After about 30-45 minutes of being home (and not eating dinner) he is in the bathroom vomiting. It seems to be mostly liquid that is coming up he says and I am wondering if it is a sign that he is doing something wrong. Should he eat dinner BEFORE his workout? Is he drinking to much water on an empty stomack? Anybody got any ideas?? I would love to hear them and see how we can possibly fix this situation. I am afraid he is going to want to stop going to the gym because of it.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the lengthiness.

Hello I'm new to sparks people. I weigh 220 and its the most I have ever weighed. I meet my boyfriend of 4 years and went to college and the weight just started adding up. I'm not sure how how to do alot of things on here. How do you get the thing that people have have where it shows the goal of the weight to lose when you write comments and shows up. Sorry I'm confused myself. Help?

Hi all. I have a goal of 10000 steps a day as well. Most days I do get 10000 steps. I have not lost any weight in so long. Now that it's winter again I have been using my gazelle for exercise. I need to be more aware of my calories and my sodium intake. I seem to go over my sodium levels most days. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone in case I don't get back on this thread again before Christmas. I have been losing all of my threads lately.

Hey there team, I have been doing the videos since it first started and they now have become part of my morning routine. I have gotten down to within 10 pounds of my goal and have built my strength up through all the workouts I have been doing. I try and get 10,000 steps per day but have been having problems since I don't have a walking partner who lives close. I just wanted to stop by and say that this bootcamp has done wonders for my stamina, strength and even my confidence. I have posted a picture of myself as my profile pic. and for me that is a big deal. I never felt confident enough in my looks before to even allow a photo to be taken. Thank you to everyone for the motivation and support to help me do all this.

I'm still trying to find the replacement cable for my gazelle. Haven't heard anything from the person from Fitness Quest who is helping me. Then today the battery went dead on my pedometer. I did get 11946 steps in for the day.

just saw the post about the 10000 steps challenge. i think it's a great one. maybe some can make it a new topic outside of the "team cafe-please chat here" then more people might join in.

I also have been getting at least 10000 steps in daily. Today I broke my gazelle and forgot to wear my pedometer when DH and I went out for awhile. Looks like I will have to come up with another way to get steps in other than the gazelle. It is getting too cold and nasty here for walking outside. Today I only got about 6313 steps in. Think I will need to use my WATP videos for the time being til I come up with something else.

Just stopped in to say good morning. I have been walking my 10,000 + steps daily. I am shopping on line for a new bathroom scale as mine gave it up a few weeks ago! It was sort of old any way! I think I have lost a few more lbs recently but my scale was very unreliable and told me different info from one day to the next, when it told me I gained 15 lbs I threw it out!! LOL!

Well everyone I'm back in the game!!!!! I have been a little lacking in the strengh exercise area lately. I still walk for 40 min at lunch time 5 days a week. I just finished day 2 & 3 and the challenge of the closed hand push ups. I just needed a little jump start to get me going. With the holidays around the corner now is the best time to get off my butt-LOL!!!! Hope everyone is well. Wendy

I suggest we get a Steps challenge. Logging in 10,000 plus steps per day, but a minimum of 10,000 if you can. I wear a pedometer all the time and this really helps as I just don't feel right unless it says 10,000 or more at the end of the day. If it is less I put on my tennis shoes and go for a walk or walk up and down the stairs, whatever to get those numbers. Does someone want to start a challege like this?

I go swimming at an indoor pool. The community centers we have here in Boston are terrific. They have indoor pools and some(like mine, have a gym with weight and machines and a basketball court and an indoor running area (great in the winter) The cost to me, because I am a senior, $15.00 a year!!!! It would be a sin not to take advantage of that! I shall do a lap for you tomorrow too!!

Sorry to hear about all the surgeries, Mom1014. I hope you heal up and have no more problems.
I got the newsletter and noticed that the team was still active. I'm still doing the videos 5, sometimes 6 days a week. I am still doing a lot of cardio, too. The weight is coming off, and I am definitely in better shape.
Sadly, I still cannot do Day 7... my back won't take it. I tried it just last Saturday and stopped during the bicycle crunches. Maybe one day I'll be buff enough!

Hi all. I thought I'd better at the very least check in. I have had one thing after another keeping me from our wonderful challenges. First toe surgery, followed by a compression fracture and then last month, gallbladder surgery. Just the fact maam..just the facts.
I am pleased to say I've still managed to lose at a snail's pace. I am even happier to say I should be back full force in the challenges in about 2 weeks. I do miss it and applaud you who have been able to really stick with it. Congratulations. Lee
I walked for two hours and I'll do day 1 & 2 workouts before I eat supper tonight.

We've been moving our office, so I haven't been able to keep up with the videos this week. Actual move day was Friday- Thursday I logged 18,651 steps, and Friday logged 21,742 steps, so I think I've managed to get some cardio in anyway! As soon as we're open for business in the new place, and I stop hurting from the actual moving & stairs, I'll get back to the videos from where I stopped! Hopefully Monday or Tuesday. Jill

I'm going to start bootcamp today with a workout video. I have about 19 pounds to lose and my goal is December 9th. I would love to keep the weight off forever!
Just got home from a work dinner meeting. Did Day 2 bootcamp workout did 2 sets of reps on each exercise.
I also did the challenge which I printed up Sep which is more fruits and veggies, but I started doing it today because am not always good about getting in my F & V's.
