hi I'm Cheerhoney and I started my diet and exercise regime in January 09 at 164.5 lbs and now I'm 151lbs. It's been a battle but I know that once I reach my goal weight which is 130 lbs it will be permenant weight loss and not this short term weight loss with fad diets ( been there did that). I am 5'3 and I hope to achieve my goal weight by September 2009 before I go outta town for my cousins wedding in NY on the 4th of Sept. I weigh in evey monday morning so I'll be here to check in with everyone. I hope everyone continues toward their goals. If you would like some encouragement or need a friend on sparkpeople or both feel free to add me as a friend and/ or leave comments on my page. I'm all about support it makes the weight loss journey and adventure. :-)

Hello, I have been on an up/down phase. My best friend/sister of the heart suffered a mini stroke on Dec 22nd and is still in Rehab Center. Since it was over the holidays, too much food around, emotional eater here, I slipped and might have gained back pounds lost. However, as of the 3rd I have cut out meat for the month (something I just want to do) started posting everything on my Sparks, updated and continue to work on my Spark page, doing the exercises in the Boot Camp and the New You Boot Camp (without the too many threads), remembering to drink my water and tea! So far so good. I want to tone my body and loose 25 lbs by my birthday of May 21st, if I loose more than that, it's OK too! LOL
Scales are for Fish, It's the Size of My Heart That matters!

I have been doing the bootcamp seriously since May when I joined a biggest looser contest. I have dropped 15 pounds and feel great. Our contest ends this Saturday with the final weigh-in and I hope I'm in the running for the $700. 1st prize. This website and especially bootcamp has been great help for me. I'm pushing hard this last week with extra cardio. Wish me luck. I'll let you know the results. If I can do it anyone can because I was always a terrible dieter. Sharon

Did the bootcamp since late June and my before/after stats are below. I'm not going to change to a different routine (keep the cardio, but go to 3 x week Sparkpeople generated workouts). This bootcamp was a good idea - it got me in the habit of cardio each day and has pushed me to find other workout videos on sparkpeople. Good luck to everyone who is starting in August.

I've been gone for about a week and just got back. Am very pleased with myself. I stayed very active. I walked, hiked, swam and went tubing. I didn't even do that all bad with my eating. I had little of everything but didn't over do which was good. Probably the worse thing I did was drink (alcohol).

I use to think writing down what I ate wasn't necessary. How wrong. I discovered by writing my food intake down that I am more aware of what I eat and how often. For example I knew I consumed a lot of sugar. Now I know exactly how much. i must admit I only been faithful with this for two days but I truly have stayed in my caloric range.

After two months of boot camp, I have a new pic up on my blog. It beats the h--l out of my 'Before' pic. I took a short break in the middle of May for a trip to New England, so I think this is decent progress.
I weigh in for July, I am now 111.8 which is 3.6 pounds than I was last month and I am down one inch on my waist and another inch on my hips.
Total lost from boot camp since May :7.4 pounds lost inches since May: 5 inches I am now over 1 pound to go on weight to reach my goal. Yeah I am so glad I found the boot camp it has really help me, I am now wearing a size 3 pants and they are not tight, my stomach is going down so now just need to tone. I can not wait for July results.

I kept pretty good records on measurements and weight through the whole thing. Total loss was not what I expected but I did a lot of muscle building cause inches are all down. Neck down 1/4" Chest down 1" Waist down 1" Hips down 1.5" Thighs down 2.5" Calf down 1.5" Gained actually 2 pounds. Muscle is better anyway means burning more calories!

Like many of you, my end weight results seem deceiving from the way I feel & how my clothes fit! But, all in all, it's the way things fit that are the best rewards! (scales are monsters, at best!) I did lose 5lbs on this challenge, & 12lbs since I started SparkPeople on 4/16... The other rewards are that I'm aware of what I eat, how much it may "cost" me in calories & do I really want to spend those calories on that treat! Sometimes it is definitely worth it! My ending stats weren't what I feel like they should've been, but it's better than nothing. As of today: Weight: 245.4lbs Waist: 44" Hips: 51" Neck: 16" Thigh: 24" Arm: 13" Loss: 6 lbs; 2" in my waist; 1" in my thigh; and 1/2" in my arm.

I just added my after pics. As far as I can tell, I look the same from the front, bigger from the sides and smaller from the back.
My weight is actually from last thursday, and my waist has gone up, but TOM is here so I refuse to use a new weight, and I'm blind to the fact that the waist is a little bigger; I'm sure next week all will be back to (or less) than it was before.
Oh yeah, I took after pix this morning and will post them tonight once my guy gets home and tells me where the cable went! :)

After the bootcamp I did not end up losing any weight but I did lose 3.5 inches! I am happy with that and I am going to continue to work towards my goals! I feel better since starting and think I have toned up a little. I will post my after pics soon!

So my pants fitting better is not an illusion Hips: 38.75 - lost .75 inches Mid-thigh: 19.5 - Lost 1.25 inches here!
