Apparently I was messed up on what my goal was. I have been going up, up, up.257.5 highest ever on Sunday. Tried to get my act together this week and down to 254. I must be consistent and keep up my plan. emoticon emoticon

I'm an eternal optimist. I found the Secret; the Eat to Live plan. I will be a Success Story !
I will be wearing that Little Black Dress. The Secret is consistency!

I noticed that you weren't talkative last week. Didn't realize you were on vacation, Vanella!

I weigh 193 this morning. That means I lost three pounds last week! I was aiming for 194 for the Spring 5% challenge. I am very pleased with myself! I don't exercise everyday, but my daily activities seem to be working, along with sporadic work outs. Mostly, I am committed to a lower calorie input. The Nutrition Tracker has helped me keep track, though it has its bugs. I had entered a bunch of items for breakfast and lunch and then the thing appeared to have erased them all. So I started re-entering. THEN the original entries returned! So I had to erase the few I had re-entered.

175.4 down from 180.9 two weeks ago. I went on vacation off the grid and couldn't weigh or report last week. I am very happy with 5.5 over two weeks! Now I need to start over on my streaks.

Weight loss has been nonexistent lately, but my size has been going down. Definitely a good sign, as it means I'm losing pudge and gaining muscle! Just a few months ago my arms looked like hams... now I'm getting some serious guns! Definitely a victory for me!

Since I strength train, I need to remind myself that the scale isn't really going to reflect my progress. For me, progress is measured by my strength and endurance.

You have to be careful about weighing yourself every day. It can drive you crazy if you aren't careful! Remember that drinking all this water will also make it appear that you are gaining weight, not fat, but water in your cell structures, which is a good thing.

Great attitude Vanella. I am going to have to buy myself a scale, because I joined the 5% Challenge. I have only lost a total of 8 pounds, but I haven't weighed myself this week.If I intend to lose 12 pounds in 8 weeks, I am going to have to intensify my work outs, too

156 -- holding steady and feeling pretty good.

I'm a little disappointed because the final weigh-in for biggest loser at my Zumba class and I really want to win. The extra money would come in handy right now. (When wouldn't it? lol) Overall, I am satisfied the healthy changes I have made so far because its not really about the weight or the money. Its about my health and the health of my family. After all I have dealt with so far this year, I'm hoping things will be nice a dull around here for awhile.

CMP555 - I'm so glad to hear your losing but make sure you are doing it the healthy way. Stress is a big factor in everyone's life and it's not healthy for you physically. I realized that I was stressed and didn't even know it and that's when I found out that is why I was always fatigued with constant headaches. Try to eat more not less but eat the right things.

156 woohoo!

Losing, but not in the way I would like. The exercise is plan not working so great--mostly because I am sick. AGAIN. I stayed home and ate almost nothing for Thanksgiving and have not had an appetite for the last several days. I don't know if its because of being sick, or because my stress level has gone way up in the last couple of weeks and it was already pretty high to begin with. Sickness and stress has seemed to be the overriding theme this past year. See my recent blogs if you want the details. I hate being so negative and I know things could be worse, but its really hard to be positive right now.

I hope everyone else is having an easier time and doing well.

So it looks like you are getting off to a great start by planning. I wish I can plan better it will make life so much easier. I love the plan C my son has moved out and now I am thinking about making that a workout room also. Keep us posted on how well your plan is working. emoticon

159 today! Made my first mini-goal. I set them at each 9 159,149, etc.


So true about the setbacks Monique. I try not to let things like that get to me, but it was a little disappointing since I was so close to my first mini-goal. I did manage to get in some exercise last week, but not as much as usual. I learned something though. I need to plan better for these little bumps in the road. Instead of just a plan A (Zumba) and B (hiking/walking/jogging in the park), I now have a plan and C also. Our small multi-purpose room now has one more purpose--exercise! I put a lock on the door so it can be a kid-free zone. If Zumba is not in session, I will go to that room and have an hour of total privacy with my treadmill or exercise videos. I would prefer to be outside, but since the time change here, I don't get home from work until after dark and don't feel it is safe enough to be out alone at that time.

Started at 168 on 10-9-11. My goal is 120 to 125. I'm down 8 total, but have been stuck at 160 for the last two weeks.


I've been really sick and not able to exercise at all during that time. And now that I'm finally feeling better, I just found out my Zumba class with not be in session all this week. Now What?!?! I have a hard getting motivated to exercise alone, but I guess I don't have much choice this week. The exercise gods must be testing me. lol
