156 -- holding steady and feeling pretty good.

I'm a little disappointed because the final weigh-in for biggest loser at my Zumba class and I really want to win. The extra money would come in handy right now. (When wouldn't it? lol) Overall, I am satisfied the healthy changes I have made so far because its not really about the weight or the money. Its about my health and the health of my family. After all I have dealt with so far this year, I'm hoping things will be nice a dull around here for awhile.

CMP555 - I'm so glad to hear your losing but make sure you are doing it the healthy way. Stress is a big factor in everyone's life and it's not healthy for you physically. I realized that I was stressed and didn't even know it and that's when I found out that is why I was always fatigued with constant headaches. Try to eat more not less but eat the right things.

156 woohoo!

Losing, but not in the way I would like. The exercise is plan not working so great--mostly because I am sick. AGAIN. I stayed home and ate almost nothing for Thanksgiving and have not had an appetite for the last several days. I don't know if its because of being sick, or because my stress level has gone way up in the last couple of weeks and it was already pretty high to begin with. Sickness and stress has seemed to be the overriding theme this past year. See my recent blogs if you want the details. I hate being so negative and I know things could be worse, but its really hard to be positive right now.

I hope everyone else is having an easier time and doing well.

159 today! Made my first mini-goal. I set them at each 9 159,149, etc.


So true about the setbacks Monique. I try not to let things like that get to me, but it was a little disappointing since I was so close to my first mini-goal. I did manage to get in some exercise last week, but not as much as usual. I learned something though. I need to plan better for these little bumps in the road. Instead of just a plan A (Zumba) and B (hiking/walking/jogging in the park), I now have a plan and C also. Our small multi-purpose room now has one more purpose--exercise! I put a lock on the door so it can be a kid-free zone. If Zumba is not in session, I will go to that room and have an hour of total privacy with my treadmill or exercise videos. I would prefer to be outside, but since the time change here, I don't get home from work until after dark and don't feel it is safe enough to be out alone at that time.

Started at 168 on 10-9-11. My goal is 120 to 125. I'm down 8 total, but have been stuck at 160 for the last two weeks.


I've been really sick and not able to exercise at all during that time. And now that I'm finally feeling better, I just found out my Zumba class with not be in session all this week. Now What?!?! I have a hard getting motivated to exercise alone, but I guess I don't have much choice this week. The exercise gods must be testing me. lol

Forgot to post on Monday- I finally had a 2lb loss and hit the total of 20 lbs loss in my 10th full week on SP! I'm thinking doing a Group Kickboxing class rather than a cardio machine did the trick! Now if only it would stop raining so I could get outside!

I need a weigh in day. Monday is as good as any, since I did weigh myself today. I weighed in at 166.4 today which is about 2 pounds less than last week.

Hi I'm new to this team and will be posting on Mondays. I also joined the team challenge to post my weight weekly. I started SP 7 weeks ago and have lost a total of 16 lbs so far, currently at 158.

Crud! I gained a pound and a half. Didn't feel good this week and didn't work out but very little at the beginning of the week. I'm feeling better now so hopefully can get back in the saddle and get going again.

The journey may be rough and rocky but the view when I get there is going to be awsome!

How long did it take you to lose 3.5 pounds of fat and gain 2 pounds of muscle? I have read that it can take two months to gain 2 pounds of muscle, but always wondered if that was correct!

Still 180 pounds but...making progress. My last evaluation by my trainer said I lost 3.5 pounds of fat and gained 2 pounds of muscle. Need more cardio for more fat loss.

I'm a little slow at getting this posted but I was down 2 pounds this week. I am exactly half way. 25 pounds gone!

Ugh...I was doing really well last week through Thursday - eating right and working out, was down 2 pounds but spent a 3 day weekend at my mom's house and ate bad food all weekend :(

169.6 for me today - an all time high! I've been running around 165 the past month and really pigged out over New Year's knowing that I'd start dieting on Monday (c'mon who else did?)

Doesn't look like to many people use this thread but I will. I hope to post every Monday. I am down 5 pounds - to 178. I have done this small roller coaster too many times lately. Let's see if the trainer can help me keep it going down instead.

I'm up a pound but still down on inches. I've been blasting at the gym and finally seeing some muscle this week. Will definitely be down some next week! I decided it was time to do some measurements and am down a total of 11.75 inches since April.

I was up a pound. Not trying to make excuses, but I know when it gets really hot and humid, I tend to retain water. Doesn't seem to make a difference how much I drink, either.
