Please act, do not react. Take a few minutes for yourself, close your eyes and visualize that new you that is coming out. Then, do some moving or a 10 minutes Spark Video exercise; the serotonin release during the exercise is the well being neurotransmitter and you will feel much better. Then eat your dinner and go wash your teeth, usually the fresh and clean taste in your mouth will not allow you to eat again. Remember you are your priority list.

I am feeling absolute misery. My mom is suicidal and has been missing since last night. No action on her credit cards.

I want to eat carbs, it's been a few days of family problems and dealing and I have not binged. I actually have not binged in 28 days. I guess if I can get through this I can get through almost anything.

I really feel for you, Carmen. Intellectually I'm sure you know that what the scale says is certainly not the only way to measure your success, but it is the most satisfying, I agree!
The trick for you now is to accept your disappointment, but don't let it deter your efforts. That's what adults do, they persevere. They continue to do things that don't give the immediate pay off.
You are doing exactly what you should be doing, and given more time I can assure you that your scale is going to surprise you in a good way !!
You're worthy of this!!

I am feeling discourage; the scale is not moving, although I am doing the Boot Camp challenge, tracking my foods and staying within calories and sodium range. It is very frustrating right now.

Happy Wednesday, ladies!

I am very happy, I have a FIVE DAY weekend starting tomorrow! The office is slow and of course that's not good, yet I have been feeling very burnt out these past couple of weeks and I am thrilled to have some time to refresh and renew myself. Just knowing that I have three hours each day that I'm not commuting is worthy of celebration, LOL.

I was looking over Dr. Gould's book again, to post questions over here. The dedication to the book was something that resonated with me. It says,

To my wife, Bonnie, who knows how to love, and how to be loved.

That's been on my mind today. For the most part, I know how to love. I can get a little manipulative to get my way from time to time (and I'm working on that) and sometimes I mistake "catering" to someone with "loving" them (and I'm working on that, too) but I don't think that I have been allowing myself to BE loved to the best of my ability.
A perfect example is, last week my husband and I had time to waste before we caught our train home, so we looked around in some stores in Penn Station and I saw a really cute stuffed monkey. He asked if I wanted it, I just said no. It felt like a waste of money to me.
Today we also had some time hanging around the railroad station and hubby said, "let's go and get you that monkey!" and I said, even before I could think about it, "yes!!!" so we bought the monkey. He's incredibly cute and I love him, LOL. On the train ride home I was reading and touching his furry head (the monkey, not my husband) and hubby said, "see how much you like it? That's only because you let me get it for you. I want to do that more often".
Feeling worthy of an $8.99 stuffed monkey named Coconut is knowing how to be loved.
Allowing people who love me to do nice things for me is correct thinking. Then I don't have to feel empty, and want to binge. A need that I didn't even know I had, has been met.

As I continue to go through this program I am going to keep reminding myself that as important as it is to love , like Dr. Gould's Bonnie, I want to become a woman who knows how to BE loved, to.

Today I am feeling very proud. I did not eat any candies, but I decided to be busy every minute of this day.

Like Cindy, I did not buy any candies, this year; I am sorry, but I am not going to be doing to others, what got me in this horrible trouble of emotional eating. Sugar is comfort, an escape and a refuge, so I will not allow little kids have them, from my hands.

Right now, I am feeling a little battle inside me. An uncomfortable feeling, kind of anxiety feeling. I have not been able to identify my feelings very well, but I know My feelings are a little upset right now. I can not tell if I am concern, if I am blue, if I am anxious, if I feel lonely, but not giving in to comfort me with food. I better keep feeling to see if I am able to identify what is bothering me right now.

If any trick or treaters come to my door I am going to be honest. I am going to tell them I'm sorry, there's no candy, I ate it all. And then I am going to tell them they better think twice before they try to drown their sorrows in candy because they could end up like me. Then I am going to give them one of my numerous collection of diet and body image books. happy halloween!

I am feeling strong and focused today.. Hubby and I went back to the gym for the first time in seven months....he is having exercise related pains (he has no weight issue) and so stopped going, but why the heck did I stop? I exercise in my basement, I am fortunate to have a treadmill and a Spin bike and an elliptical machine, but I don't push myself in the same way than I do when I am around other people. It's easy to do less than what is required, when no one sees.
I have candy here for the kids but I determined a few days ago that none were for me, and I am holding fast to that. I will give my daughter the leftovers, if there are any. She is able to eat candy in moderation. She may even throw them away, saying they are too tempting, can you IMAGINE such sacrilege? LOL
I have started over a million times, but I am willing to go for a million and one.

Cindy, that really stinks, about your friend. Those sort of disappointments really throw me for a loop.

I am feeling ashamed and angry and disappointed at myself right now.
I had ordered a cute fleece sweatshirt with my high school's name and my graduation year (78) on it. It fits like it has been painted on. I am so bothered
that now this becomes yet another article of clothing that I have to WAIT to enjoy, just like most of the clothes in my closet. I wish I never bought it.

Hi, Cindy!!!

I understand those feelings of yours! I am not angry about not doing what I should be doing, but the anxiety is eating me. I am drinking water and figuring out what is one import thing to have it done, this afternoon. I suggest you write a list of all you have to do, and pick the most important and do it this afternoon, just one until you are done. If you can achieve another one then go for it! Just breath, do not be hard on yourself, maybe take a warm bath and a hot chamomille tea and start off like a brand new day. Hand in there I will think of you while moving around my desk work that i want to do for today. Keep in touch, we will make through this day and be successful.

I am feeling irritated and, I think angry, but I'm not really sure about what. I'm irritated with myself for not having been doing the work I need to do on my show. I am also irritated and feel let down and manipulated by a friend of mine.
I ate a cookie and some cookie dough last night and it wasn't even remotely satisfying. I am in a bad blehy mood!

I want to do so many things to make my house more pretty and comfortable. My mom and one of my mother keep complaining about my house, but we are almost done with mortgage, we only pay 360.00 a month, and economy is not to good to think about buying a new house. Besides, my 3 daughters are out of home on their own and my hubby and I do not need a new house to please my mom and my daughter. I feel anxiety cause of all I want to accomplish and sometimes this anxiety paralyzed me and makes eating worse. So working with my book first and on my on-line program first.
