Well knowing you as long as I have, my personal advice for YOU is to just be gentle with yourself. You are such a disciplined person. I know that you will get your mojo back.
For people like me my encouragement would be, "just do it anyway" or "act as if you don't mind exercising". I like that you replied to the topic. I think that sometimes, for some people, "growing up" is as much about telling yourself no,
as it is, telling yourself yes.

I am not liking to exercise lately-which is new for me. Somewhat new-at least a few months...anyway. Sometimes I will save a good program on tv to watch while I exercise, or I'll make myself jog to the donut shop and walk back...(because I have a giant donut box to carry)...just kidding. I am not good lately at things I don't want to do. I am in a state of apathy about food/exercise. I have some memorization to do right now so I will walk and do that, although people think I am talking to myself, therefore nuts.
Martha Beck has this exercise where you try to take everything up the pleasure scale, like, if you hate to take out the garbage, listen to music while you do it, so actually if I could eat candy while doing anything it would up it on the pleasure scale ; ).
But truly I am so bafflingly apathetic right now I could use some idea's here...

Growing Up Means Doing Things You Don't Like Sometimes by Dr. Gould

A member asked, "Isn't there a way to enjoy exercise?"For some people there is. Some people love to hike, play tennis or do yoga. But plenty of other people don't like exercise and never will.

Part of growing up means doing things you don't always like: flossing, getting an annual pap smear or colonoscopy, paying taxes. The alternative just isn't worth it. Exercise for some people is one of those things.

So if you just have to do it, is there a way to make it more tolerable? The member above moved her treadmill in front of a television and made a deal that she could only watch while walking. It worked for her. Some people make their cell phone calls while out on a walk; some people have a half-hour in the evening when they dance with their kids. If you can't manage to enjoy it, at least you can find an exercise you can tolerate.

What works for you?
