I don't know about all of you, but sometimes I look for the serendipity in life to nudge me, or confirm for me that I am heading in the right direction. I had just re-read some of Dr. Gould's articles, waiting for my book to arrive today (it didn't, yet). I moved on to clean the house, and slipped in a CD by the Chenille Sisters that I had gotten for Christmas, and had not yet opened. The first song slayed me, and made me cry. Maybe it will inspire you too.
(listen to a clip of it at the link at the bottom)
The lyrics in part:
May I suggest, may I suggest to you…
May I suggest this is the best part of your life?
May I suggest
This time is blessed for you
This time is blessed and shining almost blinding bright.
Just turn your head. and you’ll begin to see
The thousand reasons that were just beyond your sight
The reasons why, why I suggest ..
Why I suggest to you
This is the best part of your life
There is a world that's been addressed to you
Addressed to you, intended only for your eyes
A secret world, like a treasure chest to you
Of brightest scenes & brilliant dreams that mesmerize
A lovely trusting smile, a tiny baby's hands
The million stars that fill the churning skies at night
Oh I suggest, oh I suggest to you
Oh I suggest this is the best part of your life
There is a hope, that’s been expressed in you.
The hope of seven generations, maybe more.
This is the faith, that they invest in you
Is that you’ll do one better than was done before
Inside you now, inside you understand
Inside you know it’s yours to finally set right.
And I suggest, and I suggest to you
And I suggest this is the best part of your life
Have a wonderful (& strong) day!)
