I took a few weeks of the online program, then read the book, then finished the online program (but am continuing on with it).

Right now I'm reading some other things that I think are complementary to Shrink Yourself, then I'll probably go back and read it again.

Shrink Yourself made a *huge* difference for me. Just learning to recognize emotional vs. physical hunger was major for me.

When I lost weight before, I tracked all my nutrition. If I was hungry, but knew from my tracker that my body's nutritional needs should have been met, then I would tell myself I must not *really* be hungry and would hold out. However, once I hit my ideal weight and stopped the nutritional tracking-- guess what? I slowly gained it back because I'd had never learned the difference between emotional and physical hunger.

Now I can tell the difference between how emotional hunger and physical hunger feels-- and I think that is a huge thing for me that will make me be more likely to be able to keep the weight off after I lose it this time.

I think the same thing. I read half the book at one time. Then a few months later read the whole thing, which I just finished. I know I will have to reread parts, because there is just so much to remember!!!

I went through the online program, then I bought the book. I read it more like a reference manual- when there are things I want to go back and look at I go to those specific areas.

I'm just finishing my first time. I'm also in the online program. I can't wait to reread it though, because everything resonates so much with me. Some of the concepts are so basic, but said in a way that is really easy for me to grasp and very profound. I feel so thankful to have found the book!

Just wondering, how many times you've read the book. There is so much that hits home I know I won't remember it all I enjoy all the self discovery and can't wait to reread with highlighter in hand. How often or how many times have you read this amazing book?
