Whole foods are definitely more satisfying for me. I don't have that "more, more!" Feeling that I get from processed foods.

I have been focusing on eating whole foods and what a difference that makes in my appetite. I find that I am not grazing as much. Although this could be because we finally have some decent weather and most of the snow has melted. It is so nice to go outside without a jacket. The sun feels so warm now.
I have been doing some yard work, my son-in-law has been cutting down trees to prep a site for a vineyard and I have been hauling the branches away. It makes it harder to eat just for the sake of eating when I am busy. Perhaps I was eating out of boredom? Nah! I recognize I was eating out of frustration this past winter. Both my daughters rely on me for childcare and that means that what I want and need to get done is put on hold. I am not complaining because I am making memories with my grandchildren and that is more important than getting my projects done.
Not having junk food in the house is making a huge difference in what I chose to eat. I feel so much better when a grab a pear and a few almonds instead of cookies. Plus when I eat cookies it seems like I want more than one. Best not to have them around for a while.
