That is awesome. I agree it is so hard not to buy treats because they are every where; even in places we do not normally expect to see such items. I remember the day I walked into an auto parts store and the first thing I saw was a rack of candy. Candy at the auto part store?
Hi every one! I hope you are all being successful in taming that sweet tooth. I am making progress but am finding I am still encountering some glitches in my plan to subdue that little monster.
I began to incorporate green smoothies into my diet these past few weeks and have noticed that my craving for sweets seem to be a lot less intense. Also I have been trying to eat more apples. An apple is a lot more satisfying than that bag of chips I was grabbing in the past.
Also, I find that I have a tendency to grab salty snacks when I am thirsty. So, now when I think I just gotta have that bag of chips, I am reaching for a glass of water instead. If I still want a crunchy, salty snack then I am popping pop corn instead. In doing so, I have control of the oil used and the amount of salt.
My half marathon race was a success by my being 5 minutes 24 seconds faster than my last years time and since I ran with the pacer I was able to run for 6 miles before I needed walk. Considering I walk/run I am proud of that accomplishment even though my legs were a bit sore for a couple of days after. But I am back at it and just signed up far a 10k trail run in hopes of beating my time from last year.
I hope you are all being successful and look forward to hearing about your progress.
