Not really an accomplishment per se, but just wanted to pop in and say that once again I've made the decision to cut the sugar. There was a time when I was completely sugar-free but I got cocky and thought I could handle it and I allowed it back into my life. Now I'm shaking off the lies I've told myself and taking control again. I've come too far to take orders from some random sweet treat!

I had a weekend get together with my sister, a cousin, and niece. We had cheesecake, but I didn't have any. I did however have other things, so my weight is up a little bit.

Fell off the sugar wagon today and had 4 or 5 cookies and 2 cans of my energy drink emoticon Good news is: tomorrow I start my new job and will be working 6 days a week until April 15th. Less time at home to eat and bake and more money!

I picked up a salad yesterday at a place that serves amazing desserts. They had Italian cream cake which is my personal favorite. I was very tempted to buy a piece but didn't.

I have NOT been perfect.. but I DID politely refuse a dessert that I had made for a group of master gardeners! Plus my husband gave away the unused whip cream to folks at his office when he realized it was a trigger for me. This is a bumpy road, but getting smoother the more I learn my own habits!

I'm on day 39 of my '100 days' of not eating sugar. But, I stopped eating sugar 6 days before I officially said 'this is day 1'.
So I haven't eaten sugar for 45 days now. They say that something starts to become a habit after 40 days...

Wow, that's awesome! Good luck with your race.

Yesterday I got on the elliptical for the first time in a week, after a 6 hour drive home from the hospital where SO (Tom) has been since Fri.

Working on the eating today; no liquid calories until AT LEAST Thanksgiving.

I am starting to think about that half marathon in April ~ I want to finish in 2:30, so I am starting to work on getting my mileage up so in 2 months I can focus on training for speed. I ran 6 miles yesterday

All right! I will start posting about my accomplishments here...! (Grin).

I'm on day 17 of not eating sugar today. I struggle with binge eating. I intend to not eat sugar for another 89 days as part of my challenge to do 100 days of my personal method.
Since I cut out sugar I only had one small binge, not the huge binges I had before (had them 2 times per week on average, I think).
So that is very interesting / good news to me!

Today I ate lunch at about 12.30 and later on went into town with my husband to shop for clothes (for him, not for me!). We stayed away from home for much longer than I had expected and at 5 pm we sat down in a coffeeshop. I had only a decaf cappuncino. They are served with a cookie and a small glass of liquor with sweet whipped cream. I gave cookie and liquor to my husband.

I finally bought new bras. I've only bought sports bras since I started losing weight last September. I finally bought bras when I was at Marshalls for exercise shoes. Anyway, I'm now at 36B, down from a 40DD. Wow. I love that I can wear the most common size. I feel so tiny.

Gave the cookie and the sweet whipped cream to my husband when we sat in one of our favorite coffeeshops after shopping today. Enjoyed my decaf cappucino!

I'm on a really good roll with avoiding sugar right now. Not even tempted. I've made a deal with myself that I'll only have homemade treats and they'll be sweetened with maple syrup, agave, xylitol, or dates. No cane sugar!

15th day of my FREEDOM FROM SUGAR! That means I've gotten in two weeks of being as close as possible (except for incidental sugar naturally occurring in food or essentially added to activate yeast in whole grain bread or sometimes added in sprouted bread, and the sugar naturally occuring in dairy or other types of milk products that have a low glycemic load ... dairy is high glycemic in charts but tends to have the opposite effect in my body, I do allow lactose, therefore, and do not worry about it).

My husband and I went out for a day trip today, had a great lunch at a Thai restaurant, and neither of us felt a need for a sweet treat like we usually do when we take a trip to the city. No feelings of deprivation at all!

I went to a chinese buffet yesterday and filled my first plate with fruit, fruit and more fruit. I was disappointed that there was no salad. The best for me, the buffet had pies for dessert - I totally said no to the pie. I was eying that pecan pie, though, but I knew it was mostly sugar.
