I passed out last night real quick - lol! the exercise regime I did yesterday took it's toll. This morning, I did Jillian's 30 Day Shred dvd and my Reebok Step, before I started making a huge broth from a Dr. Oz special - if you all go look at my blog

I posted the recipe and the link. Anything involving lots of water - as you all know, grabs my attention. He also did a smoothie recipe on the show that started with 1 ltr of water - now I'm not seeing the recipe on his site but I copied it down from heart and it was just a couple things including cinnamon which was very important in the recipe. See my blog posting on it. Now, I'm going to inhale my lavender/vanilla fragrance oil and I'm going to do Reebok step aerobics and then try this broth that is cooking. Fingers crossed!!!

Go look at the picture on my blog! I came back from my trip and one of my bday gifts was Jim went mushroom hunting and found lots!!! He is cooking them right now and they smell divine! During my birthday, Jim will celebrate it every day with a treat of some sort and this is what I get on my first day home. WooHoo!!!

interesting - I just did the Step Reebok and all the years I've been doing this - I just noticed today how the order of workout people changes! If you watch closely, you'll see where the guy behind Gin was in the very back. In the middle row, they keep swapping around those 3 and later in to the workout, you'll see 3 guys in a row. I was like, Wow! They are stopping for water and they did an excellent job not showing the stops on this video considering it was made over 20 years ago.

Anyway, Step Reebok - DONE1 emoticon

It's so cold here - I went out to feed the birds this morning - the cardinals sit all over the trees looking like red ornaments patiently waiting on me - the snow birds and doves are adorable - the doves are fat and chunky. They all share which is nice. I watch them out my kitchen window while drinking my coffee and doing the dishes.

I just finished 40 minutes of high impact step aerobics with Gin Millers Step Reebok, which I love and it's my go to The video is 55 minutes but the last past is on the floor exercises with the bench like push ups and sit ups - I don't do this part because I did all that yesterday during my weight training day. The sit ups I will do while watching tv tonight. Now that I've made my spinach smoothie and drank a bit of it and snacked on a fresh coconut (which btw is sooo refreshing to drink), I'm getting ready to try a new Zumba video from Youtube. I do Tracy Anderson's workout for the glutes in the evening when watching tv.

I'm anxious for spring - I cannot wait to go walking and hiking outdoors again. We head to Florida in 2 weeks - anxious for that as well - we'll be there for 3 days and we spend the whole time walking the beach and eating Calamari at Crabby Bill's - WooHoo!

emoticon Amber! I finally over stomach upset and will hit the workouts even harder. I do at least two hours every day, sometimes three. That is great to add weights! My classes alternate strength training with step cardio. Most give a core session in the last 10 minutes.

Terrible, injured my back badly somehow during Curves Zumba :( Don't get it. I took a much more advanced, tougher Zumba fitness class yesterday and it didn't bother me one bit. must have been a freak twist or something

Sorry about your tendon :( That does bite. I love to eat to so I have to make sure I get plenty of exercise. My problem is getting to a step class. I don't drive and my scooter won't go through snow and is not supposed to get wet. When I stay at my Mom's, her facility I can walk to, but doesn't have a step class if you can get that!!! Its not as fun as step, but maybe you could water jog in the deep end of a pool while recovering from your injury? Its my go to exercise when something isn't working..

The good thing about stepping is doing it or not isn't influenced by weather conditions.

My Achilles is bothering me again. I'm forced to not do any exercise requiring my feet. Not good considering the way I want to eat. Pain and emotional eating go together for me. I'm trying hard to not let it continue today. Oh I did start; now I'm stopping.

In fact, I'm going to lay back down.

Was going to work out, but a very sore quad kept me out. Hiked and walked for hours today instead. It was a gorgeous warm sunny day, and we got to see a family of five beavers on the pond we usually stop by.

Hope your back is better! I find mine will get sore if I sit too long, but not if I am using a stability ball. Problem is one of my balls is too high and the other is a little too low which makes it hard to use properly. I have to get my step dad to inflate them as they are very hard to get the plug in and out, impossible with my RA hands.
My leg muscle is still very sore and now the exercise bike in my building is broken :( That just leaves me my elliptical for cardio..

Just after I read your post, it started snowing here again! The snow melted before noon, thank goodness. I have to remember that it is spring.

Congratulations on winning the grand prize!! I don't win things very often, either.

My back is feeling a little sore today. It could be from sitting too much yesterday while I worked on the income tax return and prepared for today's parent/teacher conferences. I'll be sure to squat down instead of bending at the waist today.

Hi Gayle, That is amazing to hear about weather like that in the US, especially Nevada, where I picture desert more than snowy mountains lol. We are just below freezing now, and had lower then normal snow for us too, and yes, those winds are ever present here too!
I actually won the big grand prize package at the fair too, wouldn't you know it, never win anything!! Nice to hear from someone on this team, can't seem to find anyone active on here.
Today I feel sore and tired from a two hour walk and hike yesterday (I have a inflamed lateral quad I am trying to recover from, so doing light exercise)

We had snow here (northeastern Nevada) last Saturday and Sunday; over 18 inches at our house near the mountains. Also, it was more than we had on the ground at any other time during the winter! It was discouraging, but it's almost all melted and we're going for 63 degrees with lots of wind today.

Have a great time at the health show!

Not feeling well tried to do an aerobic tape and could only do 15-20 I did sweat. I had been using the tread mill and not sweating at all. I guess I need to try again tomorrow it was just a real bummer!!

Awesome that you stuck it out and figured out what was putting you in the dulldrums. Keep up the great work.

I am back from my trip and had a great time. Sat was good, Sunday not so much. It was a day full of grazing and overeating. Its over now and I did pretty well on way home and the rest of this week. I did miss my weigh in Monday due to traveling but I am pluggin away and hoping for a loss again this coming Monday. I will be very happy if I can fall anywhere below that 205.8 mark of 2 weeks ago.

I always have to switch up my workouts...some days I go to the gym..some days I work out at home (videos). If it gets boring, or too predictable its hard to keep it going---workouts need some spice! emoticon

I finally feel like I am back on track after a 2 week lull in this journey... I realized it was boredom from my workout routine. I have found that when I exercise consistently, everything else falls into place much easier!

I AM PUMPED!! I had my weigh in yesterday, lost 2.1 pounds this past week. YAHOO!! I am so excited that stepping this up a notch is showing. Hope I am finally over that plateau.
I am going out of town this week/weekend and I may not make a weighin Monday but I am gonna do my best to stay on track while traveling.

Well, feeling pretty good today too! Had a pretty good day yesterday. We went to Red Lobster for My FIL Bday and I looked at the menu before I left and picked out my supper. I went about 100 cal over but according to weight watchers points I was right on!
I was proud of myself for planning ahead and eating what was good for me. No butter and sourcream on my baked pot either. emoticon

Im feeling pretty good today. Had a great day yesterday minus sleep so I am hoping that working the weekend will help we really stay on track.
(MIRSA- got on the scale this am. Said I was back down 1 pound blw last week, we shall see if I am still pleasantly surprised come Monday. lol)

I sure hope so! I used to weigh myself everyday and I was becoming too dependent on the scale and not thinking about all the inches that I had lost and how great or BIG my clothes were. I raelly cut back on it. Now I try to make myself go every 3 days or so but I never actually count the number as a gain or loss until the "weigh in" day I picked.
I really like making it accountable 2 times a week but I am trying to help my sister follow the WW plan and if I get all pumped up about loosing I dont want to discourage her or encourage her to be dependent on the scale KWIM?

I hear ya! I was a little discuoraged when, silly me, I got on the scale this am just for giggles. I usually weigh in on Mondays now. Well, it said I gained nearly 2 pounds. It was a rough night last night, my son got sick and I had very little sleep.
But I was irritated cause I maybe had one day over my calories! Oh well. Wait and see what monday brings and just keep on keepin on.

Feeling pretty good today.
Weigh in was yesterday and though I only had a chance to workout 2 times last week. I did great with my food intake(minus a bit of trouble on Sunday).
I am pshyched! Hope this means I am over this plateau and the month of not so great desicions are now behind me..... for good! emoticon

Plus I did a Leslie Sansone Walking Away the Pounds dvd today.
Tomorrow I may try Biggest Loser Bootcamp, the new one! It looks like I may have to work my way back into BL though.

That is great! I got in a Jillian Michael's 2009 Ultimatum (wii) workout today. I was in my target heart rate the whole time and thought it was rather fun.
Maybe I finally found me another winter workout!
I am making progress though! I feel pretty good that I am on track for another great year of losing weight.

Today is the day..... get that step out and lets get going! I am doing a fun routine that I use from this great blog site I found.

I try not to do step every day because it is hard on my knees.

I am so sorry! I have been MIA, the good thing is I survived the Holiday in more ways than one, I was sick as a dog. I had an excruciating ear infection and stayed on the couch for 2-3 days. I haven't worked out in weeks(literally) BUT I lost 2 pounds last week just not eating much as I could not taste a single thing. My HOliday could have been better but at least I didn't gain.

The boys are finally doing much better, its me that is still struggling to get back to healthy.

He went back in today to have the doc look at his lungs, he now has ear infection too. They just said keep liquids flowing and doing breathing treaments.

I hope your boys are better soon. It is terrible when your kids are sick, especially when they can't tell you what is wrong. How old is Liam? My 9 year started on a nebulizer from about the age of 1. Luckily he only needs to use it occasionally and now I think he has grown out of it. My 19 mo old had pneumonia earlier this year and had to use it as well. I hope you get some sleep.

I have had a pretty crappy day.
I started at 0750am, too early for me when I didn't get home from work until 1am last night.
The boys are both sicky so I call the Ped. get up and ready while the roofers are banging on the roof.
I find that cayton has a really bad cold, but Liam may have RSV. His results will not be back until tomorrow at 12noon. So for the next 4 hours I went to 4 pharmacies, 3 of whom could not fill my scrip as they didn't have all that I would need. I had to buy a nebulizer, my poor baby!
I just feel so bad for him. I am stressing as he looks so sad and pitiful. Its so hard as a mom to see your kids sick.
I was nearly 2 hours late from work they were very understanding when I called them a fwe hours before my shift telling them I would not make it ontime.
All of this with 2 kids in tow. I am exhausted.
