I know you said you did not want anything from the store, but my saving grace has been the chocolite bars and they are only $1.39. They have 2 pc's and they are like turtles. I am on phase 1 week 3 and you can have both pieces. There is so much fibre in them they really do fill you up. At night when I want to snack I have a bar with a decaf coffee and I am good. Not hungry at all.

I don't like buying items from Dr. Poon's office but I do keep the "Carbrite" bars on hand. Half a bar is more than satisfying for me. Still hungry? Down it with some water & eat more during your meals :) Anything from the list that allows you to eat as much as you like literally means eat them whenever whereever. Don't go hungry. This will change after day 3-4. Be patient.

Can anyone share any other snacks? I'm only on Day 1 but I'm hungry and have no clue what to eat. There are things that people on here mention but I don't even know how I would know about them because they're not on the sheet I got. I made a frittata type thing last night in a pie dish so that I would have breakfast for the week. I had a salad and a can of low sodium tuna for lunch and some cucumber and for dinner I made some beef and broccoli. Now I'm still hungry and don't know what I can snack on.

That's too bad...here are the recipes- i use half fat butter, splenda in all cases and limit the egg yolks to 2 and substitute with additional egg whites. Also for the almond flour obviously iu use fat free sour cream.

Hi,

I started Phase 1, 1 month ago- so far I have lost 9 pounds. I had a slow start the first week and made up for it next two weeks.

I have a question- I found a great low carb, no sugar recipe for Almond Flour pound cake and also coconut flour brownies..are these acceptable on the diet in phase 1?

Hey Gianina7,

Be prepared to find it difficult for 3-4 days and avoid temptation at all costs. Ask lots of questions from your doctor and get ready to learn to cook different. I personally now love this diet, am never hungry and weight loss has been steady but appropriate to the weight I need to lose.

Get rid of temptation and get ready to feel great! You can do it!

If you look at the grocery store and drug store you'll find sugar free candies and even some individually wrapped Hershey's chocolates. A heathier snack I enoyed this week was lightly cooked green beans. I cooked extra for dinner one night and put the extra in little zip lock bags to take to work. They aren't noisy to crunch on like celery but by not cooking them too much they have a bit of bite to them. You could also use a sugar free salad dressing to dip them in. I think some Melba toast are ok too but I'm not sure about the quantity. I also keep a box of low sodium chicken broth in the fridge at work and heat up a cup of that sometimes. Good luck!

Hi Everyone,

So let's get into a discussion on how we can help each other.
Phase 1 is the start of a new beginning.

Weather you're just starting out for the first time or if you've fallen off the wagon and are ready to recommit.

Let's do this!!!
