emoticon I would be happy to help.
I found that using the 4-3-2-1- method that they use really helps. I do try to get in more than 4 servings of veggies and fruit in but it is at least a good goal.
I am participating in one of the Sparkpeople Biggest loser team for a summer challenge and want to use the plan-

HI, I'm katie, I am from Ishpeming MI. I just signed up. I'm like BLINDBATTY, I need a "list" to help me out. We have been using the biggest loser cookbooks but there is not many recipies that i like because alot of them contain fish, so I'm hoping I find alot more recipies here that I do like and also meet new people to become spark buddies.

I'm Cori. I just signed up on the Biggest loser Club and hoping it wasn't a mistake. I signed on for the recipes actually. I'm one of those people that have to have a "list" in front of me to make it work and I really don't like the Spark ones (a..no pics and b..nothing my family will eat) I have the BL Cookbook my daughter bought for me and my family doesn't seem to mind it so I signed on...

I just wish they'd give me a prep/cook time on their recipes. That's always a big plus for busy families of today, ya know?

I will start by eating Fist size meat, 2 cups cooked vegetables-1- cup raw vegies and 1/2 cup fruits, and 1 serving of bread---starting today.

Beverages will be 1-cup Milk, Diet Soda, Coffee, Tea, Water

I have found that the Biggest Loser recipes are fantastic for keeping hunger away - that's why I would want recipes with whole grains and little or no sugar. Spiking my sugar level would be very bad for me because once I "slip up", I don't get back on track.

Does the Best of Cooking Light follow the same philosophy as The Biggest Loser (no white flour, rice, sugar... and more veggies, fruit, lean meat) I think I'll head to Chapters today to find out!

You can get a good deal on the Biggest Loser Cookbooks at Amazon.com. Check out the used ones because they sure look new to me. Another fantastic book is the Best of Cooking Light (there are 500 recipes and many many great ones) the book sells for $17 but I got it for $3.89 at amazon.

Welcome to the group!! I have the Biggest Loser books and love them. I've had issues pop up and things happening that I didn't plan, and the Biggest Loser plan has always been there for me... telling me that I can fall many times, it's how often I get back up that counts!

Hi - I'm new to this group but I'm really glad I found it. A friend of mine lent me her copies of The Biggest Loser book, The Biggest Loser Fitness book, and The Biggest Loser Cookbook and now, I'm addicted. I read different parts of the books every day. I bought The Biggest Loser 30 Day Jump Start and The Biggest Loser Calorie Counter. Just waiting for my next cheque to buy The Biggest Loser Success Secrets.

I love the food in the recipe book. I've made something from it for every meal for almost two weeks now. I hate cooking but with this cookbook, it's easy and most of the time, it's quick. (I made the spaghetti squash today and it took 45 minutes but it was worth it) I haven't made a bad choice yet. I've learned a lot too - about what to look for when I go grocery shopping and how to cook it, and ideas for great "loser" snacks.

Thanks to the Biggest Loser Cookbook and the Fitness book, I've lost 12 pounds in almost 2 weeks.

Wow....I have been trying harder this time. But it has been really difficult. I foot surgery and now I am some what recovered. Today it will be the first day of attempting to work out with my foot. I will try and see how I do.

Don't forget what the size of a serving is---look that one up. The size of your fist is pretty good for protein and double it for veggies, one slice of toast, etc. Some of the biggest basic lessons.

The Biggest Loser Diet is a sensible, healthy, and flexible diet that can be maintained for the rest of your life. It's calorie controlled, carbohydrate-modified, fat reduced, and high in lean proteins.

You eat 3 meals a day with 2 snacks. Your meals are based on the 4-3-2-1 Biggest Loser Pyramid.

The Extras (200 Calories)
Whole Grain(2 Servings Daily)
Protein Foods (3 Servings Daily)
Fruit & Vegetables (At least 4 Servings Daily)

You should also drink at least 6 to 8 cups of water each day. You may also enjoy, in moderation, no calorie flavored water, coffee, teas, and no more than 2 diet sodas a day. You may also include alcohol in your diet but it should come out of your daily 200 Extra Calories.
