Glad to see you guys are up and kicking still. My Cyclocross racing season is now over for me. Trying to transition into off-season training mode now. Not and easy thing to to do. The two younger ones are involved in sports and their respective boy/girl scouts. I am almost at 2200 hundred miles for the year. I think I am 8 miles short of which I should hit from the spinning class tonight. My goal was 2500 miles. I do not think I will hit it. I took way too much time off from mid Aug to mid Sept. Cyclocross season came up in a hurry and I was not trained well at all for it.

I think I will focus on the Cross season as my major race season and use the road season as warm ups to my fitness and stamina levels.

I had a great Thanksgiving and I am now trying to transition into the Christmas mode.

I am about to open up a fine German Reisling ...... would any one care to join me???

I still try to ride, but have to have numerous layers on if want to do so most days. PS nope not in florida, in minnesota so it is cold here, but always nice and warm when riding on a moon light night. Sorry I am a night owl. :)

I was banned from biking most of the summer with an ankle injury so am still itching to ride as much as I can.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

Welcome back. So, are you still riding in your area? I'm hoping to get a ride in today since the roads are clear and we should be warmish here in Montana. Hope you are well and staying healthy. Happy Thanksgiving.

It's so nice out here on the deck of the bike/coffee shop. Always sunny and warm. Makes you want to get out on your bike a ride, but as soon as I step out the door reality hits.....dang! emoticon

I just noticed that the last LBS topic was dated 2010. Sorry about that.

Anyway, this is our SP Local Bike Shop, which also has an espresso bar with a deck overlooking the river. It's peaceful and beautiful and ALWAYS warm and sunny here. Order your latte, pull up a chair and enjoy some great bike talk.

Use this topic for checking in, introducing yourself, entering your successes, challenges, and anything you want to say about cycling.
