well - today was the day. in spite of awful weather - cold/drizzly rain and wind i did manage to finish this year. 35 miles. had to listen to my conscience when the route took me thru my hometown i was so cold and couldn't feel my feet. was thinking,"go on home, get warm. this is crazy" but then my conscience said "well, yeah, you could bail but these kids can't. they're stuck and can't run away. the cold/cramps are temporary, CF is permanent" so even though i didn't really feel like going on, i did anyway. can't say i had fun but felt good that i was able to complete this ride. there was actually a pretty good turn out in spite of it all, had about 215 registered riders and around 115 or so actually rode. i'm very proud of everyone
