Thanks for you input. I had another reaction this morning - after having hot chocolate.
So far, my reactions have only happened with my first food of the day. DH thinks it might have to do with sugar. He is more worried than I am since the reactions only last less than an hour and have not resulted in breathing difficulty.

I used to have lots of problems with food. I thought I was allergic to everything! Make sure that what you eat is clean....meaning no pesticides, no detergents, no colors or flavors. I do most of my grocery shopping at places that do not sell laundry or cleaning products. If you look for these places you will find them but they are few and far between, but the more I looked the more and more places I have found. If you have Aldi where you live, they do have a small detergent section, but they are much better than the big stores and today they carry a lot better products than they used to and even have a produce section that is pretty decent. I shop there often. Stay away from processed foods as much as possible. Raisins are not great....they are often referred to as pesticide pellets, they are heavily sprayed. Definitely buy organic raisins if you need raisins.

I didn't have a problem for so long. Then I had a reaction this morning after eating a few raisins which I have been eating with no problem. I got all red and itchy all over, and I felt my heart racing. Then my stomach hurt. It only lasts about an hour. Then I fell deeply asleep.
So far, it has only happened in the morning after eating.
Of course I tested negative for a whole bunch of fruits, both skin test and blood test. The confounding thing is that it's after eating things that I tolerated before and after each reaction.

Does not matter if the food is in sealed containers. The laundry/cleaning products are in sealed containers, but it is still getting into the air. If it can get out, it can get in. Really the only thing that would be safe from absorbing it is stuff in cans. Produce is open air and was a living thing with cells that will absorb anything in the air. People who use perfumes are also touching it. Deli counters displays are sanitized with scented cleaners (why, I don't know) so anything in there, meat, cheese, cakes, etc. will all absorb it.

Lastly, you don't have to get red and itchy to be having a reaction. Sometimes things just make you feel run down. I used to eat yogurt everyday and couldn't figure out why I was so tired. For some reason I stopped eating it and started feeling great. Then one day I ate a yogurt and felt exhausted. Thats when I made that connection.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad you are finding solutions.
My perfume reaction is different from my food reaction. I don't get red and itchy from perfumes. Some of the foods were in sealed containers.

Laura, grocery stores sell A LOT of laundry products all of which are scented beyond belief. If you walk down the detergent aisle you can smell it. That means its in the air in the store which means all of your food is absorbing it, and if you buy your food there you are eating the laundry products that have absorbed into your food. I didn't overcome ALL of my food sensitivities but many of them resolved when I started buying as much as my food as possible from places that don't sell laundry and cleaning products. They are a bit challenging to find but if you just keep looking you will find more and more of them. During the summer shop at farmers markets. You will start feeling better overall and the sensitivities will lessen over time.

Treppils,
How did you overcome your food sensitivities? I ate a pear yesterday and got itchy. I really hope that fruit is not my problem! I am going to see an allergist on Thursday but I don't expect much help because all of the substances I've reacted to, I have tolerated when I tried them again

Hi Laura, you could be reacting to preservatives or maybe something else. I used to react to just about everything I ate and how could that be? If you can normally eat raspberries and other fruit with no reaction then you are probably right....either preservatives or something they wash the fruit with.

Um, so this is not relevant to the thread. I just didn't know where to post about the allergic reaction I have gotten twice to different meals. The one thing the meals had in common was fruit. The first time it was raspberries from bj's. The second time was a fruit salad from a breakfast buffet. I suspect preservatives.
I had redness all over my body with itching. The first time I had intense itching on my palms and soles and I threw up. The second time I had general itching all over.

I so agree. The confusion people have from advertising over associating clean with perfume-y is frustrating, to say the least. Dogs should smell like dogs! Luckily, I don't have to have my dogs groomed. My DH grooms his dog, using his own clippers so that works.

My SIL says I'd love living where he grew up in Mexico!

They don't need to suffer, they just need to clean the dog. When they are clean they don't smell and perfume is not a requirement to cleaning. Marketing has just brainwashed everyone into thinking that its not clean unless it smells pretty. Clean is no smell at all!

We found a vet who does not use air freshener and just wipes the dogs clean with water. She now comes home smelling like a dog like she's supposed to.

So sorry for my silence. I've been on vacation for three weeks and just got back.

My vet's groomer uses perfume after squeezing the anal glands. They just need to suffer when they do my dogs, because otherwise I can't have the dogs anywhere near me for many days.

I came to Mexico several times to study Spanish, and I met the fella who became my husband on one of those trips. I never intended to live here - I was always more interested in the Andean nations, but here I am. I moved here in 1995.

I tell the vets up front....absolutely NO fragranced products to be used on my dogs. If they resist, there are plenty more vets out there.

I survived the vet clinic. I saw the assistant vet who isn't as OCD as the vet. He put Lady on some antibiotics. She wasn't dehydrated, still alert & wagging her tail. I think she's going to be fine. She has to stay on chicken for a few days & Pepto Bismal. I suspect the antibiotics are unnecessary but I'll do as he said & give them to her.

I don't know why your vet perfumes the dogs except people seem to like to be perfumed!

What brought you to Mexico?

My brother visits twice/year for about 5 days. I usually go camping when he first comes since we don't get along. My parents & my DH & I share a duplex. I show up back home on their last day to be civil, but not long enough to cause friction. So far, it works much better than anything else I've tried.

My brother lives on the West Coast and my mom and sisters on the East Coast. I try to get there twice a year from Mexico, and I spend as long as I can. I'll be there 3 weeks this trip and 1 month at Christmas. My brother comes for about 3 days every few years. He spent a few days east when Dad died, but I wish he would have done so when Dad was alive.

You'd think vet clinics would use something more neutral, like vinegar or hydrogen peroxide. My vet clinic perfumes dogs after squeezing glands to mask that smell. On a couple of occasions they've forgotten and sent my dogs home like that. I can't be with them for days. Of course I send them back to be bathed again, but the perfume sticks. Why they think dogs want to be perfumed is beyond me.

I hope you're pooch is OK and that it's nothing too serious.

Brothers! emoticon My brother only visits twice a year and doesn't fully comprehend what our parents' needs are. My mother loves Facebook. She's able to connect up with family members & friends. I don't do Facebook so I'm not much help but others in our family are avid users.

I've got a sick dog I have to take to the vet today. She has bloody stools. I came home from the acupuncturist yesterday to find my great room covered with dog poop. I hope the vet doesn't spray the table in front of me like he did last time. It's hard enough to be in that place without him making it worse.

My mom, who is 88, used to teach computers - always on Macs. A couple of years ago, right after my dad died, we bought her a PC laptop and hooked her all up. Unfortunately, my brother, a super techie, set up the computer with Admin clearance and so on, making it that much more complicated for her. She seldom turns it on...

In terms of communication, the world seems to get smaller every day. My brother & his wife spend a good deal of time in Mexico & don't have cell phone service wherever they go so they Skype our parents.

Yep, even my parents, who are 81 & 83, have computers! My mother just converted from a Mac to a PC. My brother is a Mac person & convinced her to buy a Mac years ago. It was getting way too slow & none of us here are Mac people so she's learning Windows 8! She doesn't do a whole lot on it--Facebook, email, a little internet searching with a few online purchases, and Quicken.

Small world, Karen! When I first moved here, Internet was just coming to the city. The school where I was working was just hooking up. I had had it the previous year in MA, but, frankly there weren't many people to write to. No one in my family had it. Now, last week, my most resistant sister finally bought herself a 3G tablet.

We also have a VOIP phone line that connects to the modem, so I have a local number in PA, which is handy, and we can call the US and Canada for no added charges.

I'm originally from Bethlehem, PA, but moved to Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico 18 years ago.

My allergies developed over time. I never had them as a kid. When I was in my 20s I lived on a farm and one day all the surrounding farmers harvested a crop. Maybe straw? I don't recall. I began having allergies to dust, mold, and pollen after that. I began to be sensitive to smoke, perfumes, car exhaust after that, but not too badly.

Several years ago, a young guy came to live with us while studying here in Morelia. One night a cloud of chemicals rolled down the stairs. I called up to him to find out what was going on, as my lungs and throat were on fire. It seems he'd spilled his cologne onto the carpet in his room, and he was using a towel (one of OUR towels) to sop it up and rub it all over himself so as not to waste it. I was travelling to the US in a couple of days, and I did so with full-blown bronchitis and about $200 (meds) poorer. The sensitivity became far more acute after that episode.

I continued teaching, but culturally it's hard to ask people not the follow their hygiene routine, even when it sickens others. After a severe asthma attack one morning at the university, I gave notice.

Now I teach online. Yes, it's isolating, but if I meet friends at a café downtown, someone may be sitting near us wearing perfume or smelling of cigarettes. I never go to see my husband's band perform if they're indoors. Just open air events.

I'm looking forward to trying out the personal purifier. Man, I hope it works...

I live in NE Georgia, right before you get into SC.

I do eat a diet as free of additives, pesticides, etc., as possible--a Paleo template diet. And like you, I sometimes think I'm doing OK until something happens like the neighbors spreading asphalt!

I have other health issues, though--immune disorder problems. I'm presenting seeing an acupuncturist/naturopath which is helping. We've been able to stabilize my moods. I've had an anxiety disorder since I was a kid. Now we're working on improving my immune system to try and get rid of a chronic virus I have.

I've had problems with chemicals for as long as I can remember. It made going to school quite a challenge. I can't wear synthetics, either. Luckily, I know how to sew so I can make my own clothes from cotton and other natural fibers.

But I do miss not doing some things because I know the perfume will be a problem. Sometimes I don't mind the isolation, but other times I get frustrated by it which is one of the reasons I came back to Sparkpeople. Also, I do have a close knit family that does their best to respect my needs. My grandson was heartbroken that he absentmindedly dosed our yard with weed killer. Lately, he's not thinking clearly.

How do y'all deal with the isolation?

Shalom,

Ah! The quote is from MCS America, another good site for info.

Mostly, if you keep your home devoid of as many chemicals as possible and eat a good diet (no processed foods as they all contain chemicals) you can do pretty well. There are times when I almost think I am getting back to the normal me! Of course, theres always that exposure that reminds you that you are not.

The isolation is a problem. I have sort of gotten used to it, but still miss everyone. They don't seem to miss me too much though. I think they are relieved that they don't have to worry about wearing or using something that I'm not going to "like".

My sister refuses to change anything. She is very self absorbed. And the funny thing is, she's a psychologist, so I'm sure she thinks I am a subject to be studied. I miss most family functions because of her. I only go if she is not going to be there.

If you live in the eastern states, they have been spraying for the gypsy moth for several years now. I am just learning of this now because they have just started spraying in my area to prevent it. Looks like the furthest west it has migrated is Illinois.

If you don't mind me asking, what states do you both live in? It would be so nice to have a group of MCS people close to each other, but alas, that never seems to be the case.

For me, it's more a question of the mysterious toxic ingredients. The heavy musky ones seem to be the worst, but even seemingly dainty flowery ones can have me in an asthma attack in an instant. Lots or a little. I'm taking two long-ish flights next week to go to the US on vacation, and I'm concerned as always about getting stuck in the general vicinity of a perfumed person. I regularly have to change my seat on planes due to this. I hope the purifier will help on the flights home.

Thanks, Sandy. I'm definitely going to check out that Yahoo group. I'm pretty frustrated right now with the MCS & the amount of isolation I'm experiencing.

I hope you survive the gypsy moth spraying without too many complications. That sounds daunting, to say the least.

I copied your quote from MCS for my signature. People really do not understand that their 'fuming' affects others so adversely. I was explaining my reaction to one of my SILs yesterday. She wears perfume, but had no idea how I reacted. I was describing my 'brain fog', etc., and she was shocked. I've been married to her brother for over 20 years and she still didn't realize this!

Welcome, Karen.

We live on a quiet street, semi-rural, in Central Mexico. It should be perfect for my allergies and MCS... The next-door neighbors use perfume and cologne all the time. The one guy must bathe in it. His work schedule varies, so I can't predict when the cloud will come in. I'm so glad the house on the other side of us needs repairs and hasn't been rented out in over a year.

I have just ordered one of those personal air purifiers that you hang around your neck to try it out. I'll start using it when I go out to eat, and, frankly, anywhere there are people! I'll post about how it works.

Regarding the group activity, I would be thrilled if people would be more active. The silence suggests that no one has really discovered anything very helpful for MCS. The team has over 80 members, but it's impossible to know how many are still active on Spark People.

Hi Karen, I don't come on here too much anymore, but I do get the email notification when someone posts. Like you said, participation is not just minimal, its practically non existent. Its really difficult losing weight when you have other medical issues as well, and I have to admit, it just got too difficult, so I changed my focus to eating healthier instead of for losing weight.

If you are looking for specific MCS support, I belong to a Yahoo group called Green Canary. It is a pretty active group with lots of people in our same shoes who give great support and advice.

People who live around us, just don't know or believe how simple things can affect our health so badly. My neighbor sprayed his entire 7 acres with herbicide and it was quite heavy. It took more than a week before I could be outside at all. Even my other "normal" neighbors complained about how strong it was. He did the same thing last year, but for some reason it only lasted 4 days before I could be outside. He also resealed his long driveway, so I can relate to both things.

Next week, Illinois will be spraying for the gypsy moth. They say it is harmless, but the pheremone they are spraying is a "chemical copy" (I'm quoting their website). If it is harmless, then why are they even notifiying us? They probably don't really know what harm it can cause. They will be spraying M - W, but I don't know which day and have livestock to care for so can't avoid it completely. One of my animals is post op, so I have to feed her 6x per day. Thats alot of time outdoors for me during something like this.

Well, it is nice meeting you. Hope you get passed your assault of chems soon.

It's hard enough to live with MCS--avoiding groups of people because of their perfumes, or buildings because of the "improvements" made with glues & paint--but it's REALLY frustrating when it invades my safe zone, my home.

Wednesday my DGS, who knows better but acted without thinking (typical of a 19 yo male), sprayed the yard with weed killer. I had a reaction, left home, made the best of the day--went to a healing service & walked a labyrinth, only to return home and find out that 2 neighbors had asphalted their long, country driveways.

I haven't had a reaction so severe for quite some time. So I joined this group even though I know its participation is minimal. I had to do something! emoticon

How's everyone doing?

It's been a bit of a struggle to get through the fall wildflowers, but I'm making a stab at doing so without allergy meds. I'm trying desperately to get off them completely, and I seem to still be alive, so I think it's working!

I just inhale the steam from a cup of plain water every now and then. Most of the essential oils are not tolerable for someone with MCS. I do have a very small humidifier that I am running now. That one I can clean out fairly easily using hydrogen peroxide to kill any mold. It is a pain in the butt tho.

Hi Sandy.

Have you thought about boiling water in a pot, maybe adding a drop or two of a tolerable plant oil like eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender... letting the water cool a little, then inhaling the steam with a towel over your head? You could start out doing this once a day, and, as time allows, increase the frequency. You'll be washing the pot, so no mold.

It's worth a try.

I would not even dream of getting on an airplane. I would asphyxiate for sure! I think immediately after Christmas and Valentines day the use of perfume increases. Many people get them as gifts.

My lungs have not been doing well this winter. I think its the dry air. Can't run a humidifier because of the potential mold problem and cannot use the treatments for humidifiers to prevent mold either. Seems to me I do best in the summer when I spend lots of times outdoors.

How is everyone feeling these days? Any improvement with the cold of winter? It's always tricky for me to get through the holidays with all the perfume...

My perception from my last couple of visits to the US is that both woman and men are using more scents. Very troubling. I've had to change seats on airplanes several times now because of perfumed passengers.

Today, i go to the chiropractor and get my back worked on. I think I am going to have to get on a schedule and just each month to keep myself in shape. It is very fustrating when your back goes. You can't do nothing.

I started on an exercise program and hopefully I will not throw my back out again. But this time I am duing a low grade instead on high impact. I am to old to be going to fast and hard at exceriseing

Hope you are feeling better soon. Take care.

Yesterday I had sciatic pain. I have had it alot lately, probably because my riding has been inconsistent. Anyway, I was finally so tired of it I took some tylenol. My body did not like it, so I guess I just have to suffer with the pain like I was doing. Did not have a good night and today I feel lousy. Sciatic seems better though:)

Hi TREPPILS,

I am still trying to exercise but at a lower level. The bike always kills me but I am not doing as fast as my daughter. She is in great shape(size 6-8) and she thinks she is over weight.

I looked at the pictures we took of our great grandson and i look so FAT that I was very upset with myself for letting myself got so out of shape. So today, start a new and hopefully final workout for life.

When I got married the doctor told me I couldn't have children. So my husband and I got married thinking we wouldn't have children. Ten months later our first daughter then my six weeks check up I was pregnancy again. Then I had two miscarriages and then two yrs later we had a son. Talk about the doctor's miscalculations. Somewhere along the line we did something right. I love all my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We thought we would have a small family but God blessed us with so much.

God Bless You and your Family

Hi Dukiedo,

I have been pretty busy myself with getting ready for our move. Take it easy on the workouts and build yourself up slowly. There is nothing worse than back pain (well, maybe...)

Congrats on your Great Grandson! I never had children, altho I wanted to, so I won't ever get to experience that.

God Bless You as well.

Hi,
I have been busy these last few weeks. So I haven't been on SP.

My daughter gave a wellness program she made for me so I started that yesterday which I should not have done at this time. Today I can hardly walk. I can't do the full workout since I just recovered from hurting my back. My bad.

We had a great grandson on Wednesday. He is so adorable.

I haven't posted here for a while. Its not much fun talking to yourself. I've decided I've got to get serious again about losing some weight. Getting back on track is always a challenge. If anyone is out there, wish me luck.

Hi All,

I have been really busy with getting things set up at the farm. The previous owner used oregano and thyme oils and the house reeks of it. Unfortunately, it is burning my lungs. If anyone has any suggestions on how to remedy this, please let me know.

Other than that, things are going well. I have vacation next week so really looking forward to it. Planning on spending next week at the farm provided my lungs can handle it and hoping that we have our internet connection all squared away so I am not AWOL all week. Not much in the way of television up there. We tried getting cable tv but Verizon was bought out by Frontier and you set up your cable/satellite thru them but it is with a 3rd vendor, can't remember who at the moment. We kept getting a different price so finally just cancelled it. No one could tell us what it was really going to cost and it is too much money anyway. So, depending on where you sit in the house you get more or less stations.

Whats going on with you?

I am planning on sending out a "question of the day" type thing to the team. I am just so exhausted right now tho, just thinking about it wears me out. Maybe if I do that it will spark some activity and we can learn more about each other and how we handle our day to day lives.

Until then, have a great day (HAGD)!

Sorry to hear you are sore today. That some time off and relax.

That is what I am doing today. I am exhausted from this wekend. The baby shower, the hour drive to and from. Then Sunday we had our daughter and husband over and I was cooking from 8 a.m. to noon. On my feet and just working as I cooked. You know how that is cooking, laundry, cleaning up and etc. While you work he sits but does a little but does help with getting food from the oven for me. But I did wake up with a slight sinus infection so that isn't helping at all.

Enough of the fussing. I had a great weekend tired or not. Love my kids and enjoy them to bits. Our one daughter wants these Sundays once a month at our house then hers. She want our granddaughter to know her grandparents. I love it.

Hugs to you.

Take care.

Dukiedo, so great you had a good party with no reactions! I love it!

Today I am sore all over esp my back. Yesterday was actually much worse. Mold here is really high and I am much more reactive to the dogs right now too.

Still waiting to hear a closing date on our property. Wondering if it ever will happen.

Have a great day!

Thank you all for your prayers. I had not reaction to anyone at the baby shower. YAH! We had a great time and lots and lots of baby gifts. We are going to have a great granddon. We are so excited.

About the smells I think my daughter may have said, something to everyone since the ones that usually stank (excuse my term) didn't have any thing on them but clothes.

Hugs to everyone.

I went to a family party last night. My stinky detergenty sister was there and I have to avoid her. I get the impression that SHE feels slighted. She knows all about my problem, but just won't change her detergent. The rest of my family is really good about it, but it only takes one to make you really sick.

Hi everyone. I am going to a baby shower and I am told a few are heavily perfumed. I can not miss this one since it is for my great grand child. So everyone please say a prayer for me - that I don't have a reaction or attack with my asthma.

ANTS!! We have the fire ants and other ants. Fire Ants - we use Amdro and spread it over our entire yard (my husband does this yearly)and you can also use grits. Grits are good for any ants since they eat them and when the grits swell up the ants explode. NEAT! The old fashion way ( my mom's) was black pepper or cayenne paper they don't like them and most of the time don't cross them.

What we did at out house since we have so many bugs in SC we put cypress mulch around the boarder of the house. A friend told us that years ago and it works. We are down to about 1% if that of any kind of bugs. Plus, bugs like newspaper and card board boxes -the glue.

You can also - Go to your or call the nearest lawn and garden place and see what they have to say. I know the chemicals you may have a problem with so try organic. or something from your kitchen you can use.

FROM CARROTS LOVE TOMATOES GARDENING BOOKS:
PENNYROYAL - deters - ants and plant lice
SPEARMINT PLANTS - deters ants and aphids

I am going to try the Spearmint Plant. I think i can handle the scent from spearmint.

I was going to start an organic garden until I smells the mushroom compose. UGH! So that stopped that thought of planting my garden. But this book I mentioned is a great and handy book to have around. My daughter told me about it and it gives you so many ideas but for me the draw back is the scents of flowers which keep may animals away.

Hope this helps.

Have a great day.

Not bored at all. In fact its nice to hear something about you. I know that its good to take a break from the MCS speak now and then. Problem is that everything we do every single day is affected by it. I used to come home every day crying because I just didn't know how I was going to make it thru another day. I was so sick all the time.

I too have trouble losing weight, but I probably don't try hard enough either. I have so many issues with food and they are growing each day. THere are lots of things that give me trouble so I eat what I can. I do need to cut the sugar back as it causes inflammation which is the root cause of many illnesses. I have been considering doing a candida cleanse to see if that helps.

Sweating is actually good for people who have MCS and sauna is one of the treatments recommended. Sweat is one of the ways our bodies detoxify. I considered buying a sauna but they are expensive (about $3000) and my DH was worried that I would react to the materials it is made from.

Okay, enough about MCS. Here is my current everyday problem. Whenever we get alot of rain we get ants in the house. They are small ones, like sugar ants. This time they made their way up onto the desk in the kitchen and took up residence inside my laptop. When I turned it on (not knowing) they started coming out in droves! This went on all day while my laptop was running. They finally stopped coming out. This morning now I have had 4 or 5 come out. Todays ants have wings on them where yesterday it was just the wingless ones. So, got any ideas about how to get rid of these ants? I have not seen one in a while now, so maybe that was the last of them. Weird they "nested" inside my laptop.

Have a great day!

Sandy

I know my weight problem has a lot to do to meds I can't take and foods I can't eat to help bring it down. As my husband says, " You just hate to sweat." That is true. I don't mind working out but PLEASSSSE no sweating it messes my hair. HA! HA!.

No, truthfully, my cholesterol is high and weight (50 lbs over weight) and I can't take the meds due to the reactions I have with them. I have tried meds for losing weight - forget it. I have tried curves and threw my back out. I blow it bad. It is not worth it. Plus, I enjoy cooking and baking. I can lose weight I just don't try hard enough. I am at this time working an a workout that I don't sweat (HA! HA!) as much but it is an all day workout at different times and I just started to lose some FAT.

My MCS had made my life harder it started so many years ago. People who don't have this - MCS don't know how lucky they are in life. This support team here - it has been God Sent to me. I may not always talk about my problems but I live with them each and every day as you do. So just talking about everyday things make my life easier and I don't dwell on my health.

As I have found out it seems to run in the females of our family. But, as I do - we try not to make a big issue of it until we need too.

I have to go I have bored you with some things in my life but I WILL BE BACK!

Hugs to all

Thank you for the good words. I guess thats exactly what I want. For people who have this problem to have this team for support, ideas how to live better and just get thru a day. I am glad that you have found that here.

Have a great day, Dukiedo!

TREPPILS, you sound in a slump but you shouldn't be. I for one - I am so glad to have this team available to me.

Why don't we have a discussion on how our weight loss is to our health problems. And that is part of weight gain and loss. Our health can do that to us.

Let's do something a little different each week. A discussion on our weight pertaining to our health. Then the next week some kind of a solution on how to deal with this situation with our heath weight. Then try something else. Or why not have some tell their story about what they have and how they deal with it. Since our health has a lot to do with our environment and our body functions.

All you need is more ideas to keep this team going. When I first seen this team I was so happy since I thought I was the only one with problems with multiple drugs, food and environment.

Please do not sound so down since you have brought light into my life. So people may not be on the site due to other things - some have financial problems and maybe stopped the internet service to save. Other things could be they don't know how and some are embarrassed with their problems and don't want to discuss them.

TREPPILS - there are so many reasons why things are happening at this time. Just take one day at a time.

Hugs to you.

God Bless you for this team.

I guess I want participation. I can't always get here either, thats understandable for anyone. Perhaps this is not the right site for a team such as this. I don't focus on weight loss and thats probably what people want. Weight loss is not necessarily a good thing tho for someone who has MCS. Healthy living is. There is a big difference.

Ok! TREPPILS- you say - getting nowhere. So where do you want us to go? We may have to ask you what you want from us? It takes two to tango and takes that to communicate. Take a minute and let us know and we can get this site rolling.

I enjoy coming to this site and chit chatting with you. Some days I can't get in because of what is going on in my life. One thing I know is that I can always count of someone to chit chat with me here.

I have been displaced from my desk at work. They are dismantling all the cubicles where I was sitting so I am now sitting someplace else. It is not ideal. Of course the other place wasn't, but this one is not as good. I guess time will tell. They are moving lots of new people onto our floor and that will probably become a huge problem for me. I have been lucky so far.

have a great day everyone!

Despite having to work, I had a great weekend. I met my cousin for the first time. He fit in like he had been with the family from the beginning . It was so cool. I can't wait to meet up with him again. He brought his fiance with and I really liked her too. They are both so down to earth. He lives in Florida not too far from my Dad so hoping I can get down there some time to visit. That will require some planning of course.

Dee, the commute for me will actually be much worse unfortunately. The move is in hopes that my health will improve though, so its got to be done.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm moving a few hours north of where I live now.

Going to lake house today for the holiday. Will meet my cousin there, I hope. I have to call him later on and finalize the plans.

What are you all doing today?

Have a great day everyone!

She can't be that upset if she is not willing to nix the perfume so you can work with her.

I have a friend since we were 4 years old. I aksed her 2 years ago if she would change her laundry detergent so we could hang out together. She still has not done and we have not seen each other at all since I got sick. I guess she does not value our friendship all that much. We still talk on the phone, but wish we could hang out. Is there an emoticon for a heavy sigh???? Well I will be moving a way so I guess it doesn't matter anway.

Have a great day everyone! I am working all weeken d (insert another heavy sigh here).

Congratulations on a discovery of a family member.

I am tired today. I just got done mowing the grass and edging. Long day but nicer since my husband purchased a riding lawn mower for me. Still have trouble with the pollen and smell of cut grass but it sure cuts down on mowing time.

Would like to get a job but everywhere I go they won't take me due to MCS is so bad.. My one girlfriend wanted me to work with her but I can't even stand beside her the perfume flowed from her. I had to get away from her real fast but explained as we stood a few feet apart. She was upset since I have five years experience. Oh well! I guess it isn't meant to be.

Everyone have a great day.

Good news Dee. Always nice to be able to breathe!!!!

Meeting my cousin on Sunday. This is the one I recently found and have never met before. All of my brothers and sisters will be there. SO cool. This cousin is my mothers nephew. I have emailed and talked with him on the phone. Funny that he lived right near me for 15 years but recently moved to Florida. Anyway, I am really looking forward to it.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone,

For some reason I am no longer getting the email notifications when a new member joins this team, so if I did not send you a WELCOME please forgive me.

The hot weather and some sciatic pain has prevented me from riding this week, but the cooler weather has returned. Yesterday the poor horses looked drenched in their own sweat.

Have a great day everyone!
