Betsy, I wasn't 60 when I had my surgery, I was 50, so I'm sorry this doesn't answer your question. I wasn't aware there was an age-related problem with having gastric bypass. Have you tried areas outside of your location? I would like to help you in someway.

got a question for any one in there that applys to this situation..... is anyone in here that has had the surgery and you are over 60 when you had the procedure???

my regular doctor has reccommended me to have the surgery but we are having difficulty finding a doctor/hospital that does it on people over 60... i am almost 62

thaks for any input ....betsy
