Hey Ladies, I found him a home! He will live with me afterall! I kept him in my laundry room and nightly opened the door and sat there with my girls. My big boys came and checked him out. We did this all week and by Saturday I felt confident enough to leave the door open all day. So far, so good.

heidi my cat is declawed in the front paws but can really fight good with his back. no not a good idea to turn him loose, but before i would put him in a kill shelter i would turn him loose , or just keep him. keep trying or how about putting an add in craigs list?

damn if you do, damn if you dont!!

Heidi,

Did you google no kill shelters? If worse comes to
worse, that would beat turning the poor thing loose.
He would likely get run over or attacked by more
aggressive cats or dogs ....
I know something will turn up. Dont give up on finding him a forever home.

I live in Maryland. Where I work they have implemented a policy of 2 pets per home. One of our staff has 4 pets. I can not take her 8 year old declawed male because I: have clawed cats who fight each other, have 2 small kids who will not leave him alone, & I have a dachshund that chases everything. I am going to foster him but he will live in my laundry room and that is not ideal for a forever home. He lost his 1st owner 4 years ago when she passed. She was elderly and stayed home with him but did not pick him up. I have been told he likes to be rubbed but not picked up.
I have tried every no kill shelter and no one is taking cats - too full. Please help, I want him to be happy, not stashed in a laundry room while Iam at work!
