BTW Lowes has a quite a variety of small herb type indoor greenhouse things for around 5 dollars each. I really like the idea of them.

I went to Lowes and bought a small herb garden for 5 dollars. You get 6 lil planters. Also got a pepper one. My herbs have sprouted and it only took about a week! I am very excited. So far so good!

Will take at least another week for my tomatoes, cukes, spinach, and lettuce to start growing I am sure. WIll keep you updated!

Ok you two, I too am going to join you on your gardening quest! I am going to try and plant a few herbs!! I agree, buying fresh herbs is very expensive, and I often don't have the $$ to buy fresh herbs, so growing my own is good alternative.

Thanks for the idea!!

How's the indoor garden going?

I am going to try and plant a few herbs! Small bunches of fresh herbs in grocery store is $2-$3!

Let me know how things go for you, and I will do the same!

Great Idea! Haven't tried fruits and veggies inside but have had GREAT success with herbs like basil, mint, etc.

Please let us know how it goes!

I am planning on getting some of those long rectangle planters to start planting fruits and veggies indoors. Does anyone have any tips or tricks they care to share with me? Like what types of things grow inside well that kind of thing. The planters will be sitting on a ledge that goes around the wall. I also want to know if anyone has had success with those Topsy turvey planters that hold tomatoes and strawberries. I want to use them indoors as well. Thanks!
