You are right. We all have to change our way of life. For me the hardest part involves cooking for my family. They all like fried and fattening foods. I have cooked them forever (My favorite food in the world is ) My son is 13 and he is the youngest. I get a lot of disagreement from them. That's okay though, I am learning daily that I am stronger than they give me credit for. Keep up the good work, I know you will suceed.
Changing my ways of thinking is a bigger goal for me then losing weight. If I don't change my lifestyle, I won't succeed at losing weight and keeping it off. I am not here to diet. I am here to change from having bad, unhealthy habits of eating and not exercising. I have to change my way of thinking. We all do!
Good for you! I know to some people that would be such a small step, but I know how big that really is. My small step that really was a large one for me was not noticing that I haven't touched a soda in 3 weeks until yesterday. To me that is huge! I've been addicted to coca-cola classic since I was a girl. I totally understand where you are coming from. Congratulations!

I was busy making myself 2 pancakes this morning using Jiffy Mix which only requires skim milk to make and I realized I hadn't even thought about using chocolate chips. Normally I wouldn't eat a pancake without some chocolate in it, but today it didn't even cross my mind until the pancakes were cooking and even then I just knew I didn't need them. I see this as such a big step! I'm finally starting to think differently about food and being careful, the journaling really helps!
