Glad to hear that so many of us have made progress in the first week! My weekend was rough as we were traveling and visited a summer festival and all that greasy food, but I did manage to lose 3 lbs.!! That is going to keep me going for awhile! Keep up the good work everyone!!!

Ok first let me admit I step on the scale every morning and yes I know for some people that isn't a good thing for me it is an accountability thing so I am ok with it. I weigh for the week though on Saturdays and I lost four pounds last week I am very happy with myself. Good job to all of you emoticon I am enjoying this journey and I can't wait to "see" all of us as we get to our goals. -Heather

I lost 3/4 of a pound this week. I'm happy with that because it's a step in the right direction. Every minus is a plus in my book!

This weekend like every other was tough! But i hung in there and made better choices (not great just better) I gained the usualy 1.5lbs over the weekend, but today I'm back down to where i should be. 150.6......hoping tomorrow to see a 4 after that 1. good luck everyone!

I weighed in and I'm at 210. I just started and don't think I've actually lost 5 lbs. When I joined the other day I was estimating 215 because I was right around 215 216 the last time I went to the doctor which was a couple of weeks ago. When I weighed I was actually expecting to be wrong and be more than 215 but Somehow I've managed to lose some these past couple of weeks. I don't know how but I'm not going to complain!

Well I decided to make my weigh ins every Monday even though I joined last Friday. I weigh myself first thing in the morning before breakfast so I can have that positive feeling following me the rest of the day. Today I am 150.5! Hopefully it will stay close to that but I've been seesawing alot lately so we'll see how it goes.

I've chosen my weigh in day to be first thing Wednesday morning. I tend to mess up over the weekends, so instead of getting super depressed when weighing in on Mondays, I've given myself a couple of days to get back on track. I can't wait for Wednesday to see my progress!!!

I too weigh in on Fridays. That seems to work best for me. Maybe I should switch to Mondays though b/c I tend to eat worse over the weekend and then try to get back on track during the week. Maybe if I weigh in on Mondays that will keep me motivated to not blow it every weekend. Hmmm, something I'll have to think about. I'm not ready to weigh in tomorrow, I think for this week I'll do Friday and then decide from there.

I bought a new scale this week, and was up 5 lbs from my other scale. Nothing like gaining 5 lbs in 5 seconds. But now I have a good scale and I'm going to try really, really hard to not get on it until Friday. I have a tendency to weigh myself everyday and then get discouraged when it doesn't go down, and then binge. NO MORE! Today is the first day of my new journey!

I weigh in every friday. Yesterday my weight was 201. Up one pound from when I joined. Not a suprise either sense I had been sick all week.

i started here on thursday at 191, however the weigh-in day that i have been using is friday's so that is what i am going to stick to. as of yesterday i was at 190.4. i too weigh myself every day which i know is not good, however, it seems to help me track myself. as long as the weekly number goes down, then i dont get too discouraged or concentrate to much on the daily changes.

Friday was the day I joined, and when I weighed myself, I too found that my weight was the heaviest it had been. Shocked that the number is 270, but guess that's a good thing as well has having all of you here too. It gives me the strength to know that I really am not here alone in the struggle to face the disciplines that are needed to make a lasting change to lose the fat and gain the muscle! My weigh-in day will be on Friday's. emoticon

I started yesterday- Thursday, but for ease of remembrance I will weigh in from now on, on Mondays. My starter was 184 lbs which was an unpleasant surprise, as its my personal highest weight. I knew I'd gained weight but was still pretty shocked.

For me its going to be hard to resist the urge to weigh in daily, but I am going to resist the urge and stick to Mondays for the clearest picture of success/failure.

how do you know when "weigh-in" day is? do you just do it ever day on the same day or is there somewhere to let you know that TODAY IS THE DAY for the weigh in? emoticon I'm still trying to figure this site out

I just joined on Wednesday and put my starting weight as 225lb but on weighing in today it was 230lb. That was a bit of a shock as my all time highest weight and I am really disappointed. I am trying to be positive though and say "OK, well this is my starting weight. From here it goes down". It'll take a while to sink in though but at the same time I am really motivated and finding the site great. I started my walking yesterday so hopefully I will soon start to see that 230lb mark as a thing of the past.
