Good for you! Changing your lifestyle doesn't mean you can't ever have another coke. Even if you drink one every once in a while ... just log it in to the nutrition tracker so you can work it into your recommended calories and nutrition for the day.

I like your attitude ... today is a brand new day and you are back on track! You can do it!

Thank-you for the tip, and encouragement, yesterday I broke down and had a coke-the first one in 8 days, on the flip side I did go 8 days so thats good. Today was a brand new day and I am back on track.

Knowing that
it's ok to have a good life, to be blessed, to be grateful !!

Making it happen!!

They're right! If you go UNDER the recommended calorie intake, it will cause your brain to think you're in starvation mode, and you WON"T lose! I've tried that way too many times, and it just doesn't work!
Stay between the 2 calorie allowances for you, and it will start coming off!
Be sure you drink the water.,...add some lemon juice, or some sort of sweetener until you get used to it....I've even put in artificial flavorings w/ sweetener, and that works. Eventually, you will like the water...it's just getting your body used to it!
Don't give up...this WILL work!!!!!!!!!
Remember, if it is to be, it's up to ME!!!!!!!!

How about hot tea?????? That will count as water! emoticon

Take a deep breath and relax. Sometimes the results we seek just seak up on us. It sounds as if you are trying, and that itself is something you should feel very proud of. Having the courage to ask others for help is an admirable quality. There are many of us here more than willing to give support when needed.

I put mine on first thing in the morning also...but it is important to do some steps that are aerobic...they really burn the calories...it doesn't take alot of effort to make them aerobic either...
another thing that helps with the weight loss is the drinking of water...

I wear my pedometer all say long. You would be surprised about how many steps you walk during your daily routine.

what I found that has helped me...I bought a pedometer to track my steps...I started off slow but have gradually increased my steps to 13,000 steps average...that helps me to be accountably to myself...they say 10,000 steps is a good goal to try and achieve to see results...it isn't really hard to do if you break it up into 3 times of the day...Also, a buddy to walk with helps...

How are you keeping track of your calories? If you are using the nutrition tracker do you manually put in calories and nutrients for foods you eat that aren't in the tracker's database?

Also check sodium levels of your lean cuisines.

I don't want the cheese, I just want out of the trap.

You need to try to stay in the recommended calorie range. If you are under consistently, like Amy said, your body will think it's being starved. And it's very important to log everything you eat and everything you drink if it has a calorie(s) in it.

I was the same way except it took a month to lose 2 1/2 pounds, but that much finally came off. Also, some of my meds causes me to gain weight so it's extra hard for me to lose. Are you taking any medicines that could be causing you to gain weight?

You might have cut your calories too much too fast. Your body probably thinks it's in starvation mode and is accounting for it.
Try slowly cutting back your calories.
And Good Luck!! Hang in there, you can do it!!
