Are you tapping with all that going on? Best time is when your emotions are at their peak. Let yourself feel the pain and emotion and then "Release and let go" over and over. I've been having sharp pains in my groin but started tapping every time it kicks in and it really helped. Go to Faster EFT on You Tube - this works so much faster than the regular EFT. Click on any of the videos where Robert Smith is working on someone and just tap along with him. I cannot tell you how much it helped me, even if what he is working on is not your problem. It works regardless of the problem.

I have had a rough day yesterday. I had to take Benadryl due to hives after breakfast. After I got on the bus I was falling asleep and then I went for candies since I need something to wake me up so I do not get hit crossing a 4 lane traffic street. After eating lots of them I fell asleep here and there and after leading exercise in a chair I fell asleep again. By 4:15 or so I broke out in my arm and do not know what from. I barely ate any lunch at all and I am very careful with my allergies. After work I made and ate dinner, played canasta, and went to bed. It took another hour to fall asleep and then I woke up in less than an hour later due to another nightmare. I had to call someone that I know is usually up at that time and have him calm me down enough to fall asleep.

Good morning from L.A. I am new to this board, but have been on Spark People off and on for the past 2 years or so. I just discovered EFT about a month or so ago, and have been tapping and getting rid of so much emotional baggage. I found Robert Smith's Faster EFT recently which really seems to get to the heart of the problem and works so much faster than regular EFT. But like everything else, I have to keep it up, and sometimes get lazy and don't want to do it. But it seems to be helping my sanity and I have finally been able to get a handle on the out of control appetite that I've had for so long. Being older, the weight is still refusing to go, but as long as I feel good, I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing. Brad Yates has a good video on increasing your metabolism, but I am hooked on the Faster EFT as it is so much more effective. I was posting on another site, but there are no forums for discussions like this so I am back with Spark People - yay.

Yeaaaay! I spent about an hour wlaking in the woods across the street from my place. I saw one dog, with a collar, who ran off once I spoke to him. It was fun. I also ate some flowers and buds from radishes planted in a deer feed area.
And, I do T-Tapp Total Back Stretch every few days. I need to do this every day; it helps a lot--gets me prepared to EFT. The T-Tapp is designed to move the lymph system well.

Dyer is wonderful! Creating a vision board is a great idea; it's just that much more positive stuff going into your brain and into your body. The more you surround yourself with what you're trying to visualize for yourself, the more it can heal you. I was doing just that when it all got ripped out from under me (what can I say...SHTUFF happens to me because I was born lol); I'm just now learning new ways to restructure my emotions. I'm sooo new to tapping (as of like a couple days ago), but I think it will be a favorite tool in my belt. I've felt great since I started tapping! On that note, I think it's all about your intention; if you go into tapping concentrating on the "bad" memories and festering in them (not letting go), then you're just creating a powerful habit--stop now!!!!! Your intention should be to create a safe haven within your heart; a place where you feel secure and comforted and empowered and loving.

I completed a vision board with five women friends in January. At the center of my poster is the statement " I am living with intention." For me that translates to living in each moment, rather than dwelling or focusing on the past or future. I did a book study with a friend: Wishes Fulfilled: the art of manifesting by Wayne Dyer. One thing that stuck with me is to use I Am statements. Fr example, I am accepting ---- as she/he is, I am making healthy choices, I am open to receiving what the universe has to give me, I am in perfect help, etc., this has helped me navigate through my grief after a traumatic loss in my life 32 months ago. I find I can apply I am statements to all aspects of my life. Just some food for thought.

Simple red-raspberry leaf tea helps me not eat so much, or so weirdly. It probably has those ketones in it. I don't take it in the morning, and I eat low carb, but some carb, in the morning. Then, I drink a cup or two at least at lunch and usually at suppertime.

7 almonds work like an adult aspirin--reducing inflammatinos around the body. I put them in a blender with a couple of cups of water, a pinch of salt, and sometimes a half-tablspoon, or less, of sugar and blend it for about 4 minutes. A bit of fruit, or even 2-3 radishes is good instead of sugar.
I got a Rieki treatment a few days ago and it is helping my digestion, my muscle balance, and I just get more internal feedback generally. It took about 20 minutes. If you can, try this, and about 3 days on raw foods, maybe with one serving of cooked meat in the evening. That helps me a lot. edit--it was Healing Touch, done by a Reiki practictioner. Really has helped--still learning from just the first treatment over a month ago.
And, when my gut is sort of bad, I just have a couple of meals of raw pineapple. That can create some soreness around my mouth, so maybe a smoothie with 7 almonds in it, and water, a pinch of salt.

I am not sure what is going on, but i am not up for anyhing not food, fluid, getting needed work done, soda, candies or anything. This does happen once in a while which is why the dr. said that i need to watch the depression. I am tired and want to lay down all day. This is a bad sign when I am addicted to candies and soda as well as have tendencies of overeating. I have not ate or anything except attempt to reach out and put clothes on.

I have been with a busy day. I am going to be back at the appartments not too long from now. I have also been packing, to BJs as well as swimming. I am still struggling with the fluids for sure. I did eat heathier then before though. I have not been with the internet at the appartment, so I am not sure that I will have any for a while or not.

Stress is part of living. We all get it, to some degree, and learning to manage it helps, otherwise life is just too uncertain. I've had a lot of stress issues and stress related illness, in my past, as well. It's a lot easier now that my children are grown and I'm not alone.

I do think that is very true. Learning how to defuse it is something else, again. Humor helps. Doing things just a little at a time, helps. I used to get so overwhelmed just trying to take care of everything at once, and I had to teach myself to focus on what I had to do for that moment, and make myself not get stuck and do something about the things that stressed me the most. It's really hard. I still get stuck sometimes and struggle.

I was very interested in doing the tapping technique when I was active in SP two years ago, but I didn't know anyone that tapped, so I just floundered around with it. I did meet someone since then that showed me how, and I feel a bit more comfortable with it. It does help. I've found some videos on YouTube, as well.

I am to the point that I am overwhelmed and feel like not doing much. I am not quite with the depressive stage, but I have not been doing much lately either. I just feel like staying in my room except for food. I have the computers in my room and also a book on tape. I am not definite about the cause, but I know that it could be that my dog was put down as well as being told that my grandmother doesn't have much longer doesn't help either.

It is so easy to start a program (or a team) and quite another to keep giving life to it. I’m always sorry to find a very good team has lapsed into inactivity. EFT is such a help! I was surprised and happy to find this team. I’ve been on this SP plan for a little over a week now and have gotten the food thing down fairly well. Now, I am ready to get to the tapping. It has been a long time since I read my tapping books and watched the videos and I need a brush up, so I have my Getting Thru videos here and am ready to watch and remember so that I can add tapping to my 2012 program.
I hope the rest of you will come chat with me.
No more diets! Just a lot more exercise...

When I can't afford the food I really need, I get inflammation in my gut. So, I get slow and distracted. So, I did some tapping today: Started with karate point: even though I don't pay attention to details all the time, I still accept myself. Then, the tapping series with these ideas: 1) Paying attention to details has made me feel tired ( I started with present tense, but that didn't feel honest anymore.) 2) Details help me not feel tired. (I've come to realize that slowing down and paying attention to one main task at a time is actually an anti-dote to boredom and frustration. The Mindful Eating and Stress-Reduction Challenges helped me learn this.) 3) I enjoy details. 4) I slow down and pay attention to details. I think I'll do that last one again!
Edit Now, I do the karate chop one, then, I slow down and enjoy details, a couple of times. This, and the "I remember" ones do sooooo help me.

Interesting video on Renegade Health. The link would not take; have to get there through the email blog. The instruction was to start with the karate chop point, and use the set-up statement as you tap on the hand: "Even though I have (this problem or situation), I accept myself."
Then, while tapping the other points mention the energy that one is feeling, in order to bring it up. End at the top of the head.
Then, make statements that help clear the feeling: better responses, goals. Generally, what brings a positive, hope-filled feeling. Be cautious--even hoping for superiority over someone will be accepted in part, and can cause backlashes. Also, anything that depends upon what other people do is iffy-since we do not control other people--some of us barely can manage training a dog!
When I get into sugar eating--or other high-glycemic foods, I add some iodine (meat, vit/min supplement, seaweed) to my next meal. That helps stop the sugar-cycle.
The more you stress out about it, the more you want to eat. So just start over and don't beat yourself up over it. I am starting over again but after Thanksgiving. No worries.

SLIMCHANCES... yes, I quite often have luck with EFT for going back to sleep during the night. I usually sleep 5-6 hours, then am awake for nearly 2 hours before I can get back to sleep (if I get back to sleep at all). If I remember to use EFT I can usually drift off to sleep again. I simply tap for 'Even though I'm awake and can't quiet my mind so I can get back to sleep' or something similar to that.

I have not binged, but there has been an indecent on campus as well as an issue with my grandmother. My campus is not in a bad neighborhood, but there was a guy that the university police caught and he came on campus with a gun in his hand. My grandmother is taking off and yelling at my step-dad. Some people did not call the police, but they had to bring her back home and thought that we must be neglecting her.

I would like to help if I knew how to. I am having some if not all of the same difficulties as you.In my case I am a compulsive overeater, food addict, and an emotional eater. I do not know enough in order to know if it ill help or not, but I am going through over eaters anynomus and just started with emotions anynomus.

I've decided to start 30 days of tapping. I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion if I should be doing 30 different sessions(I'm using Brad Yate's Youtube videos) or 1 or 2 videos over and over...Anyone want to join me on my 30 day streak?

Today is the first day of classes. I have one class that is where there is a thick boo, it is once a week, field trips, extensive reading material that he will give us, and 2 hours 40 minute class. I am also with another computer lass and a math class.

I am the leader and having major issues. I will need some help here. I am big time struggling with things and between my grandmother, PT, school, lab monitoring I am big time stress. The lab monitor will not be a big problem, but the others with it do not help. I had to go to a shiva house and that happens for a week right after a funeral. I must be doing the tapping wrong because I am not seeing much progress with it. I start the stretching on Monday, so I am not far enough along. Right now I have a brace and there is a chance that I need surgry since there is too much movement. The other one has even more movement thought.

Hi Onicam, I'm not sure where everyone is either. Who's the team leader? There are a lot of very helpful posts by Gophergirl but her page is set to private now and she hasn't posted in a while. I found that Carol Look on youtube and the tapping summit website was very helpful. I know that she addressed anxiety but I'm not sure on which one - I think it was the summit. I posted a link on the Summit thread. You've really got a lot on your plate right now, I hope EFT helps you find your peaceful center. How'd it go at the PT? I have a broken foot right now so I sympathize - hard to get around with your classes starting. Els

Where is everyone. I know that I have been busy. I am not sure what I am going to do for my ankle yet. I am still in the middle of another sprain and I am starting PT on Wendsday. I start school the following wendsday.
