1) Go to bank to transfer money to U.S. bank account (shuddering because the yen to dollar rate is getting worse by the day, but my voice teacher can only be paid by U.S. checks).

Well, I intended skipping Pilates. I messed up timing and got to the gym before it was due to start so I did, in fact, do both Pilates and BodyWorx. Then the student turned up unexpectedly so we went out for lunch - which was great

Thanks, CA. In one of my varied lives, I worked at a Florist and remember how strict the owner was, and I've received many magnificent offerings. Especially when large sums of money are involved (although any money applies), I hate being ripped off - it's an insult.

√ 2) Print out handouts for next class - they want to learn about asking/giving directions in English.

- 4) Make attendance sheets for Fuji and upload photos.

BONUS (?): Replied to lots of email today, including one from voice teacher asking to schedule next lesson and when she can cash my check. Gotta transfer money to my U.S. bank account, but yen to dollar ratio is going up up up. (Was 78 yen to the dollar when I went to the U.S. in August and, as of today, is 100 yen to the dollar!)

√ Picked up dry cleaning.
√ Paid for used book via postal account.

Well, it's been quite a good couple of days - flower delivery, the prize turned out to be a gym bag and towel, water bottle, lanyards for keys, anti-inflammatory cream and a couple of pots of Vitamins - Multi and Zinc. Then ... I was voted Spark Motivator of the Day today and I've no idea why - I haven't blogged for over a year and am much quieter around here these days. Anyway, I'll take it! Thanks all

Last day before university classes begin; good thing it's pouring all over Hokkaido because I'm still prepping.

√ 1) Put away Costco goods.
√ 2) Send meeting announcement to language teachers.
√ 3) Continue uploading materials to class website.
√ 4) Get clothes, materials (textbook & CD), and backpack ready for Monday's classes.

√ Sweep gravel from winter off sidewalk in front of building (easier since it's raining).

- 3) Curves [really hard to get the motivation to go today because it's a gloomy day and walking on the slippery, sloshy sidewalks trying to avoid falling into puddles is really hard].

- Meet neighbour/friend - and meet some of her friends
- Catch a train to the coast - first time for 3 years (I don't count travelling in Europe - that's safe, punctual and normal)

Every day make a "to-do list." A Microsoft CEO shared with his employees his secret to success. He said every day he'd make a to-do list topped with 4 things that he REALLY wanted to get done. Then he'd throw away the rest of the list. If Microsoft's CEO can accomplish only 4 things in a day, what makes you any different? Start prioritizing yourself and you'll get the most important things done. The rest can wait til another day to be in the top 4.
