Oh, it was great, CA, gentle rain which cooled it down instead of battling mid 30C temps - a Jabberwocky companion, parked as far from doors as possible and an amazing rest day. Nothing beats good food, good conversation, good views and fresh air - great wines added to it for us - and we learned a lot more about our beautiful Region.

CA - on the rare occasions that it snows here, it is limited to the top of Table Mountain 1085metres. Then it becomes front page news, the TV cameras go up and if the cable car is operating, people go up for the novelty. Otherwise, we get snow about 50 miles away, up the slopes of the mountains - again, this causes chaos on the roads with all the sightseers!
In case this sounds a little smug - I *do* sympathise - we used to shovel snow in the UK where the powers that be seem to pretend that it doesn't snow there and there wasn't much in the way of snow clearing equipment (may have changed after 40 years absence????)

Thanks CA - toe bruised, don't think it's broken after all - treated it with compassion and respect for 40 hours though. Car - back, didn't break the bank after all. Yes, I suppose it was expensive but I'd had a partial quote and I knew it was a bigger job than just the starter motor service. Also they fetched and returned the vehicle so that time had to be covered. Actually, I'm delighted. Let's hope the workmanship is as good as the feel-good-factor!

(my new student says the room has insects! Nooo how can that be and why have I not seen any evidence when doing an ultra-deep clean? Previous two students haven't said a word and we've had full-on communication - Another bunch of allergies - chocolate, red meat, cheese - probably pollen too and the room is closest to the hedges etc. By the way, other student is lactose intolerant. Add all that to my own, and catering is a challenge to say the least!)

Sheila - Glad to hear that the car will be getting well soon but sorry about the expense!
√ 1) Wash clothes. √ 2) Get grades done! - 3) Make tofu/pasta/tomato sauce meal to last for week. √ 4) Take photo of snow chasers when they come by with drums.
BONUS: Forgot that I had to do mailing to language teachers about next few meetings. DONE!
1. Laundry 2. Clean house / bag donated items and at least get them in car 3. Take dog for walk 4. See friend's band play in Tijeras

Thanks, CA, hopefully the car is in good hands now - dealership recommended their outsourced auto electrician who came to fetch the car and sounds thorough. Poor old credit card - but happy car? Let's hope so - looking forward to Monday / Tuesday when it returns

Sorry about that car situation, Sheila, and especially that everyone was so rude!
√ 1) Private lesson (rearrange room before and after). √ 2) Curves. √ 3) Finish grades. [ALMOST] √ 4) Get accounts up to date.
- Aqua - Bodyworx - Return a top that doesn't look as good as I'd hoped - Sale purchase - Arrange appointment for car to go to hospital :( Immobiliser is perfect, starter motor needs a service and new brushes, car cut out and stopped dead in the middle of busy Main Road - no-one rushed to help, bus-driver leaned on his horn - eventually got it started and rushed home blipping accelerator to make sure I could make it - grrrr (we don't have much in the way of Public Transport here, at least that any of us would use!) - See my neighbour/friend post 2nd-Chemo?

Every day make a "to-do list." A Microsoft CEO shared with his employees his secret to success. He said every day he'd make a to-do list topped with 4 things that he REALLY wanted to get done. Then he'd throw away the rest of the list. If Microsoft's CEO can accomplish only 4 things in a day, what makes you any different? Start prioritizing yourself and you'll get the most important things done. The rest can wait til another day to be in the top 4.
