CA - I felt it was too easy to give up and return home from Europe - and was on my way around the World - just 15 months in Cape Town - but I hit the brakes, got married and planted roots!

Sheila - At least you chose an English-speaking country! I'm not sure how long I've been in Japan (even though I get asked ALL the time) - maybe about 25 years.
1) Private lesson (have computer ready). 2) Curves [either between or after classes]. 3) Private class - Halloween "ears" and candy. 4) Chop vegetables for stir fry.

Sheila - Well, taking it easy meant spending hours at the computer recovering documents. But at least I didn't have to rush off somewhere as usual.

Sheila - That kind of incompetence is simply uncalled for! I'm getting so totally spoiled here in Japan, where the staff would be terribly embarrassed if even one of those things happened and go out of their way to make it right.
1) Private lesson (have Mockingbird computer page open). 2) Lesson at Apple store. 3) Private classes aft. and eve. 4) If time, email private retirement company about plans for lifetime annuity.
DD2 returned to hospital for her Gastroscopy - would you believe it, they had lost all reference to an appointment, didn't have her file, can't get any industrial strength painkillers - has to see her own GP who can't see her for a week! UK NHS - I thought people were exaggerating when I read how bad they are - she's not fit to be chasing non-existing appointments, losing pay etc

Baby girl DD2 (32!) has gone home for the weekend - no MRI (MRCP) - she had a second ultrasound instead with doppler - having a gastroscopy on Monday - wouldn't it have saved all this aggro if they'd done that on Tuesday when admitted and she told them about her ulcer? Grr. Altho happy to be home, she admits to feeling very ill

MRI (MRCP) today to rule out other stuff - she's throwing her toys and wanting to go home since nothing is happening, they keep getting her food so wrong that she hasn't eaten since Monday, they dehydrated her and now say her liver function is abnormal. I'd throw my toys too!

Thanks, Sheila. The typhoon veered off to the east before it got as far north as Hokkaido. At least one person wrote his house was shaking, but all my FB friends are posting as normal.

Every day make a "to-do list." A Microsoft CEO shared with his employees his secret to success. He said every day he'd make a to-do list topped with 4 things that he REALLY wanted to get done. Then he'd throw away the rest of the list. If Microsoft's CEO can accomplish only 4 things in a day, what makes you any different? Start prioritizing yourself and you'll get the most important things done. The rest can wait til another day to be in the top 4.
