I tried something new. I cut up a picture, then put it back together like a puzzle. I've only used straight lines (so far) but it gives the photo a different look. I glue it onto background paper, then onto the actual scrapbook paper. I cut angle lines. What I didn't realize until it was done, was how I cut up a photo of my bff and her (ex) husband at the beach - which was taken back when they were married. I sliced 3 lines between them, then put it back together - even my mum laughed when she saw it. Totally unconscious but works!
Ev I get loads of printable things for scrapbooking from Pinterest.I also google quotes for my pages too.I will get magazines out of the library but I like the British ones and they are quite expensive here.
Well, Etc. didn't last long. They stopped publishing and took down their web site several months ago. I love Better Homes and Gardens, but I mostly interest in Etc. *Sigh* I seem to be a scrapbooking magazine killer!
It has been several years since I've done any scrapping at all. For Christmas, Bob got me a subscription to Scrapbooks, etc. I used to love Simple Scrapbooks and was very sad when it was discontinued. I tried Making Memories and Creative Keepsakes, too. I just seemed to get the most from Simple. This new one is good too. I like how it has sketches to help me with ideas. For journaling, I have done both ways - hand written and computer lettering. I have done very little stamping on pages.
I would love to ask some more questions, but I'm not sure where they should go. For instance, favorite company for supplies, die cut machines, on-line sites and blogs, etc.

Hi. I'm new here and am fulfulling one of my stage 3 action steps by joining a new team! Glad to be here. I also have to make five posts, so I'm checking out all the Scrappers with Spark threads...
I save all my scrapbooking for 3 or 4 marathon weekends a year at my local scrapbook store in Carson City, NV..."The County Purr Farm."
In the interim, I compile, scan and organize the photos and embelishments I want to work on. My next marathon won't be until January and I will be working on an album for my niece who will be turning 16 next year.
I also spend my interim time doing lots of knitting and crocheting...juggling projects is lots of fun.

After communicating with HIKETOHEIGHTS I went and looked at my last scrapbooks. They were from our trip to Disney in May 2007. They are almost done (4 years later) mainly the journaling left. As today is a Holiday in Canada, I have taken then out and will start working on the finishing touches.
This past weekend I went to a crop at Archiver's with some friends and made three cards and started my Disneyland scrapbook. It really got me in the creative mode and I'm looking forward to the next time I can pull out my scrapping stuff again.
