So far off track! Up really late wrapping gifts after slicing the tip off my finger using my grand new mandoline to make zucchini slices for low carb lasagna. Argh! So, yes, there was comfort eating. But I've done worse. I should be able to dial it back a bit today then swing back to low-wheat plan for the remainder of the holiday.

I'm traveling after today and might not have time to check in. If so, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday, be safe, be healthy, be warm. I'll be back at work and checking in again on the 27th.

I cannot make myself be thin today, but I CAN be healthier by making a few smart choices. I focus on what needs to be done today and tomorrow takes care of itself.

Too late! I did ok improvising breakfast but got thrown off at lunch and grabbed for a snack food which made it harder to make smart choices during my dinner out. I've done worse. Really, I have. And I feel like I have a plan to get right back on track so I'm hopeful.

Just don't let the late night turn into a carb binge! Start with protein in the morning and it sets up your whole day. Of course, I ignored my own advice this morning, but I gotta clean some stuff out if the fridge before leaving tomorrow - including apple cake. I'm at least up and moving and have plans to accomplish things today, I'll take that for now and worry more about details after I get home again.

I tripped up a bit yesterday and have the urge to do so again today. I'm planning a high protein lunch in hopes of knocking myself back into good eating practices. I think the stress of getting all the last minute things done for the holidays is starting to wear at me. I may pull a late night tonight just so I can get it all off my shoulders.

I wore myself out making sweets Sunday and shopping Monday after work. I came home last night, lay down to decompress for a moment, and fell asleep. Fortunately I woke up around midnight and grabbed a light bite so my stomach should be better today than the last time I did that.

Anyway, I'm on track. I'm still trying to limit my wheat intake and keep my carbs lower than 50%. It seems to be working for me. I've committed to a trip in March with Mom and Lil Sis so I have a specific goal date and am hoping to lose 10% of my current body weight, which is the highest I've ever recorded. I'm sure it was worse a week ago before I started being consistent. It's good to set specific goals, though. I'm hoping it keeps me motivated. I'm wasting too much of my life on pain management and I know being lighter will help.

I hope everyone is navigating the holiday season ok.

Well, I'm glad it's not me chasing people away but I'm so, so sorry to hear that health issues are keeping people away. Pru, I'm praying for your MIL and Cpt, I'm praying you avoid pneumonia.

I'm doing ok. I did great Mon-Wed, ate a little too much Thur but was ok Fri. I nursed a headache most of yesterday, had lunch w/ friends then a Xmas party in the evening so I didn't count at all. Today I'm making confections and taking only small tastes, drinking plenty of water and aiming to get my freggies and whole grains. I need to squeeze in meal prep at some point but think I can do it.

I hope you are all feeling better soon. Take care.

Hey good morning monkeys! I am trying to get active again on here but im afraid I am not consistant. When sleep deprivation or stress get me I tend to disappear. But at least I ama a little more regular than before. :)

I have been sick the last week and a half and I am afraid this is turning into pneumonia again. ugh. No health insurance sucks. Oh well it is what it is.

tried out a new gym but is was not what I expected. atmosphere was great but the equipment was not great. had to change in the bathroom and no lockers. I think the no lockers kind of sunk it for me. I have a CHL and I carry 100% of the time so that leaves me with two choices... leave it in my car where I might need it on the way to the car or leave it in the office where someone can walk off with it.. neither a good choice.

Any whoozle... I have neither gained nor lost in so long. I am afraid I eat what I burn LOL but i guess this time of year it is to be expected. Hoping to get into the gym today maybe with my son if possible. should be fun.

60 hours. Almost there! I'm looking forward to having my bagel with hummus tomorrow and Friday but will stay away from wheat at other meals. I didn't get any cardio yesterday, I was too exhausted, but I'll squeeze a walk in. I finally got my tree up, pulled together some easy recipes to bring to work as gifts, and just might have enough time to get it all done without ruining myself in the process. I'm getting excited!

36 hours and counting. I'm so tired today I'm skipping my walks our of fear I'll stumble and injure myself. I'm still doing the light ST I do with a co-worker. Maybe I'll finally drag the Wii back out. A little birdie flapping around to targets can be good cardio and doesn't require moving my feet.

Hello everyone. I have got most of the exercise thing almost down. Just need to work on cardio and yes Ivory I do want to start again but not till Monday.

I can not seem to get my eating under control. I have a really jacked up sleep cycle going on and it makes EVERYTHING harder. I crave carbs so bad when I am tired.

I'm still here and still struggling. I'm doing a little better with exercise but the weekends are still a complete loss. The abrupt switch to Spring in my part of the country didn't help. I spent Sunday in bed.

I have a list of updates from Captain and my other Sparkteams that I will get through eventually. I'm just trying not to fall further behind right now.

GOOODMORNING SPARKMONKEYS!!!!!! Just saying hello. It is a rare occasion that I actually get to hop on and say hello for any reasonable amount of time.

Things are going okay. I am really struggling right now because my will power is lacking. I can't keep the husband from wanting crap brought into the house. I have been bringing in stuff that I don'[t like but it still is difficult. I need to get some healthy recipes to make yummy low calorie munchies that will help all of us.

He is a horrible cookie monster and loves sweets. I am usually pretty good but love somethig wiith my coffee in the morning like biscotti.

Anyone have any suggestions for recipes they like?

What a wild week. I totally blew my streak and am starting over today. did okay in the eating department but totally sucked on the activity part of it. yuck... oh well... it's a new week and a new day. Im doing my first Thanksgiving dinner this year! I figured that would be the easiest way to stay on track with my eating. Lots of veggies and limiting the carbs that usually get me in trouble! Lol

So We are trying to get the house ready for Thanksgiving. My kids did most of the cleaning as I was sick! But the house looks good. I have to get the bird out of the freezer tomorrow and my lobster is going to smoke it for Turkey day!

Always great to see you Capt! I took my doctor's advice and im working on a low starch eating plan. Focusing on getting enough protein which is hard for me. So limit my pasta and potatoes and up my green veggies and protein. So far so good!

I'm back! Did you miss me? probably not... LOL My past casual hit and miss approach has kinda sucked over the past year but I am hoping to make this a regular thing as I try to get my act together in the coming months.

I have missed you guys sooooooo much but my head just wasn't in the right place to be doing this. I am fired up for the moment and going to make it last as long as I can!!!! What's changed? Not sure... the weather maybe? My attitude? probably... but most of all I have gotten to the point I am tired of being fat and sick all the time again!

Any way... just saying hello. I am going to be doing some blogs as well as try to get my FB page The incredible shrinking woman going. I figure the more support the better.

Hey you guys... popping in to say hello. Makes me sad to see such low activity here but it is my fault I suppose. I am trying so hard to get my act together but life gets in the way. going to make an ACTIVE effort to get on here regularly. As I mentioned before I may be putting up a FB page to post my daily activities, etc. Its just easier to post there from my phone. and I don't get a chance to post much here... so we will see. I have had my first gain in almost a year...eeekk... 10 lbs. I stayed off the scale for a whole month but I am hoping it's muscle gain and not all fat. I have been doing weight training 5 days a week pretty heavy... and my clothes are fitting differently ... in a good way though... but the scale is up... ugh

Keep at it Cin! I find it hard to get up and exercise in the morning in winter because my house gets so cold, but I have to make sure I do it.

Capt: interesting spread on those weights! I'm right around you on most of those: deadlift 130, squat 135, bench 85, and overhead 65, and my ST routine is the one thing I've actually been keeping up with!

I'm having a small candy corn issue: it's leftover and I keep eating it! Fortunately, I'm mostly doing pretty well with food otherwise. I need to have a good week and weekend for the Biggest Loser contest that i'm a part of. I also need to grade about a thousand papers by Monday (I'm sure that's an exaggeration, but it doesn't feel like it!)

I'm going to quit whining about the pain and try to push through, smartly. So last night I climbed on the elliptical for 20 minutes then iced my feet for about 10 min afterwards. I'm going to try another session on the elliptical Wed then make it a point next week to get on the elliptical or take a walk in my hilly neighborhood on the days I don't exercise at work. It's going to mean a lot of icing until I lose enough weight to stop hurting. That's going to take a while. Icing during winter sucks but being fat and in pain sucks more.

I cannot make myself be thin today, but I CAN be healthier by making a few smart choices. I focus on what needs to be done today and tomorrow takes care of itself.

That is great! I am trying to get back to my ST. I am going to go up in my dumbbells. I had to go down to 2lbs after I broke my wrist. I have now been doing 5 lbs and I am ready to go to my 7.5 lbs! I am going to change them tonight.

Better and better shape. I seriously need to get on here. When I am on spark, I'm more accountable for everything that I do. Weight has been stable... No loss no gain... But I am losing inches. Doing a pretty good ST routine... I can now dead lift 135, bench press 95, military press 85 and squat 75... Girlie weights ... But working on it!
