I did well and took off 3 lbs that I had put back on with a weeks indiscretion. It feels good to be in control. Way to go, LuckyGirl!

Hi everyone! I totally rocked my weekend and weighed less this morning than on Friday morning!!!! I couldn't have done it without all the support I get here. It actually felt good to be focused! I'm looking forward to next weekend when the summer festivities really start. It's actaully fun to plan ahead. I'm treating it like a game to see just how on track I can stay! Congrats Lucky, see it just takes a moment for mindful eating--just plan your weekend out. My issue is not the weekends so much as it is to remember to get all of my meals and snacks into my day. So each morning, I write myself a schedule on when and what I'm going to eat.

Hello again! I just wanted to share where I'm at with my weekend problem. Tonight - friday is my niece's birthday. Instead of falling blindly off the wagon I decided to make this work for me. I planned her dinner in first & worked backwards to plan the rest of the day so I can be on track for steak, cake & ice cream. I also volunteered to make the cake so I could control how healthy it was. (I replaced the oil in the recipe with unsweetened applesauce. It makes it just as moist for a lot less calories and fat. I've done this before and you actually can't taste the applesauce at all!) Not sure where the rest of the weekend will take me but I feel strong and in control of tonight! Anybody else have any great plans for succeeding this weekend?

Same thing with me-the weekdays are structured so I can stay on track easily, the weekends are harder with parties and get togethers, going out to eat, mall food-etc. Its just harder. But what I've started doing is getting my food ready and packing it like I usually do during the week. I grab my yogurt and dried fruits and trailmix and cheese and I even make sandwiches so that I have something I can eat if we run into sausage on a stick or giant turkey legs or PIZZA! If we go out to eat, then I pick the best choice and stay away from burgers and fries or my weakness-steak! It helps me to plan my meals just like I do during the week and thats all I can do. Even if I stay home I have my tote full of stuff so there's no need for me to go into the kitchen to snack.

I've also made changes like instead of staying in the house lounging all day, I pick up my Godson and neice and we kinda have a family day at the park or the zoo. It gets us moving-my friends and family-without being around food or having food the be the center of our outtings.

I think weekends are hard too. I just try and stay as active as possible. That seems to help. It's when I just sit and watch tv or sit and read, etc, I am at my worse when it comes to eating. Of course, if we go to the movies or out to eat, I just plan ahead. Sneak some snacks in my purse or try and get a menu from the restaurant ahead of time.

The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places.~Author Unknown

Thanks for posting the articles! Just my luck, I posted my message & then checked my email (this is why I don't buy lottery tickets!) I'm still open for more input from anyone willing to share.

Weekends are hard for a lot of people. Me included. If I go out of town, I take my food. I track all my food so I know where I am in my calorie range. I've been able to stay on track, but I've forced myself to stay structured. When summer comes it will be REALLY hard on the weekends. But I think structure is the key.

A setback doesn't have to set you back.

For bodily training is beneficial for a little; but godly devotion is beneficial for all things, as it holds promise of the life now and that which is to come. (1 Timothy 4:8)

The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. (Psalm 37:29)

“Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5)

Hey guys! This is our fourth week together & I'm just now getting the chance to really go over the site & start posting. So here's my question: How do you stay on track on the weekends? I've noticed a pattern with me. I'm structured and unstoppable through the week, but when the weekend rolls around I blow it! Any and all ideas are appreciated to help me break this wicked cycle!emoticonemoticonemoticon
