SHELIARAE1 - the program does have a "plan" for 6 days/week. When I did it, I did all of the strength workouts but rarely did her cardio ones. I ran instead because I was bored with her cardio dvd's included. I had great results. :)

cardio 1 followed by hip hop abs (Shaun T) total cardio workout = 56 min of cardio.

Starting to follow Dr. Ian's Shredder nation plan (check out the facebook page on Shredder Nation). I needed an eating plan not a diet with real food and snacks. Will report if I finally stop gaining weight...

I will do day 19 today. I have been doing a few modifications to some of the planks and push-ups. Before I broke my arm, more then a year ago, I was able to do about 10 real pushups. That was a HUGE deal to me. Now I am back on my knees struggling to push them out. But I am. I put the majority of my weight on my good arm. When I asked the dr back in Jan she said I could do them again in a year but take it as I feel comfortable. That was almost a year ago. However, I won't do full on weight on that arm until I am comfortable.

I have always worked out and seriously this is KILLING me! My legs are sooo sore! And I love it!

I'm using tbr workouts on intermittent weeks. I'm alternating with my second round of Insanity.
Did workout three today. Followed with hips buns and thighs from Shawn T's hip hop abs.

Got to get a handle on my food. I'm the fittest and fatest I have ever been. Now I'm striving to be my healthiest...

OMG! I just finished Workout #5 of Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution. In addition, I walked on my Treadclimber for 75 minutes! I know I'm going to be sore tomorrow! Ouch!

STRAWBERRYGIRL,

There is a lot of pushups & planks in her workout! Due to your arm, you will probably have to do some modifications. I've been doing a few modifications with other exercises especially when it comes to the planks. My upper body is very weak, but I'm working on it!

Hi everyone! I ordered JMBR during the black Friday sale. I think it came to my house today. I will find out when I get home. I am a little nervous b/c I broke my arm about a year ago and have been either doing forearm planks or something completely different for pushups. My arm has been sore with the weather recently and don't want to put any added stress from pushups/modifications on it. How many pushups are in the program? Thanks!

I was really working out in a space too small. It was so silly of me! I did go to the doctor and luckily didn't break anything. They did say I had 3 old fractures (that I didn't know I had!) and I had 'aggravated' one of them. They gave me an ankle brace and crutches. The crutches caused more pain that the stinkin' ankle! Last night I was able to do 30 minutes on my recumbent bike, so I feel like I am still accomplishing something and hopefully will be back on the BR track next week!

Good job on your progress!

Alviar that must really be upsetting. I myself am so accident prone so as soon as she says put the weights down I put them on a surface higher than where I am..If it means I miss one rep big deal better than missing an entire workout.

Workouts 1 &2 phase 1 done. I am taking a break for a week and will be back in a weeks time. I think I will move to workouts 3 & 4 that week.

Everyone,

Please be careful during your workouts! During Body Revolution, I have to seriously modify those lunges due to my knees. Last night, I did Workout #4 and took some Tylenol Arthritis for my knees as well as putting on some Icy Hot!

So, let's take care of those backs, ankles, knees, etc. These are the only bodies we are going to be given! Let's make wise decisions!

I am so ticked! I finally got myself in the mindset to start this last night after putting together my JM Body Shop. Got my mat out and my dumbbells and started on Video 1. Was really getting into it, then she had us do the mat run or something like that and I stepped on my dumbbell and turned my ankle!! It crunched but seemed ok, so I gently kept going with the workout. This morning my ankle is really sore and I can't put much pressure on it but doesn't seem swollen. I am so bummed!!!

Hi Everyone.

Started BR earlier this year and hurt my back so I took a break. I am currently doing Tapout which is crazy fun and my core and back has strengthened since. I will be restarting BR in January.

Stephani, I have both her 6w6p and Killer Abs and they are both good. I think Killer Abs is better for my back and have been using that one more but they both work!

Did Phase 1 workout 1 and 2. Plan to do the Phase 1 cardio tomorrow and then go back to phase 1&2 or do a tae bo workout and repeat till the end of the week.

I'm alternating weeks with Insanity.

I'm really not good with dieting. I just can't get my head round it so I can't even fathom following her diet plan. I'm trying to control my eating but it's a long road. At least I know that when I finally shed the layers of fat I will be ripped ;-).

I am similar to you corinachavez... I lost 13 on it and went down 2 sizes (and even those are a touch big in places but I don't think one more size down will work! LOL). I've had 2 kids and my abs are sad still :( I did lose 3" on them but lots more work to do there. I have thought about trying one of those ab workouts of hers as well. I feel like its about 70% out of shape muscles and 30% extra fat on there. :/

I have done BR over the summer as well and started it again from October til now..I did not follow the eating plan as well stuck to the 1200 to 1500 eating plan. I love this program..I am more toned than I have ever been and don't just look thin..I lost 15 pounds and went down 4 pants sizes..I still have more work to do on my stomach after having 3 kids its still not as tight I would like but starting to see a my abs..so I going to continue doing BR and sixweek abs maybe get her killer abs. Good Luck!

IGOSSELS - I did BR over the summer and I followed the eating plan somewhat. Mostly in regards to eating whole/real foods (non-processed) and getting large portions of veggies and eating lots lots less carbs than I used to. I stayed in the 1200-1300 calorie range. It worked for me. It was too expensive and time consuming for me to follow the whole food plan to a "T".

Best of luck to all of you starting! Hope you all see great results! I sure did. :)

Thanks for letting me know that I'm not doing this alone! Today was my Cardio day! I really don't like Cardio Workout #1. So, I'm doing my own thing! I did my Morning Mile Challenge & Turbo Jam!

How much weight did you lose on the program? So, far I lost 2 pounds!

Is there anyone who is still doing BR? I'm currently on Week #3. Today, I did Workout #4 which kicked my butt! I'm hoping I'm not alone with doing this! On the Spark Team surrounding this program, there is really no participation. So, please share if you're still doing this!

Thanks

Hi Nab! Have you started? If so, how's it going?

My advice would be to get the DVD out of the way first thing in the morning. It is only 30-40 minutes a day and doing it first thing will make it easier. Also, for me, doing the workouts in the am help my energy levels and focus throughout the day.

HI Jillianfan317..No I don't follow her plan..I actually follow the sparkpeople calorie range from 1250 to 1550 per day. I do follow her tips on eating more whole foods, no sweeteners..and no soda..caffeine once a day..

I am on phase 3 week 8..this is the 2nd time..the first time I did this program I lost 15 pounds and drop 4 sizes..I took a break and started to do six week ab and shred it with weights for 30 days..for some reason these were no challenge for me anymore..so I started body revolution again and this time doing the advanced moves ..and I lost another 5 pounds..I am trying now just to tone and doing this with six week ab this week..trying to get more toned...so far love this program.

I purchased JMBR almost a year ago, and it has been collecting dust... mainly due to the lack of motivation. I intend to start it this Sunday. Have many of you had success on this JM program?

Well, I'm into workout 3 & 4 out of Phase 1. Getting back into shape for workouts 1 & 2 took me more than 2 weeks. My body was so sore and tired after the first few workouts, I couldn't do it everyday. But, now, after about 4 weeks, I'm doing much better and can already see a difference in the way my clothes are fitting. I really enjoy the workouts b/c they seem to go by so quickly and they are so varied! Am loving it!

HEy Prachi17...I will try my best to answer your questions :)

1. Do you do other workouts ? Did you cancel your Gym membership ?
** I didn't have a gym membership when I did this so that didn't matter. In general I followed all of her workouts, except most of the time on Cardio days, I ran instead of doing the cardio dvd.

2. If you do other workouts which ones do you do ?
** See above

3. Were you able to follow the diet she recommends? What is the caloric intake that she recommends ? I am vegetarian for the most part do you think there will be meal options for me ?
** Yes I did follow her diet, though not really LOL I did the kickstart (which was much more restricted) and then when I started the main plan, I used some of her recipes but then found my own recipes using the same concepts (heavy on veggies, lots of lean protein, low on starches). Her caloric intake is 1200 for the program. I didn't have a ton to lose so I ended up doing around 1300 each day and still lost at least 1 lb/week. I'm not sure on the vegetarian portion...I think if you follow her basic guidelines and make up for the meat by doing what you normally do for protein it can work. I think the main thing is upping veggies, lowering starches and eating real, unprocessed food.

4. What are your results like ?
** I lost 13 lbs. You can see more details as well as a before/after pic of me on my blog here: www.eatrungrow.com/2012/08/i-made-it
/

In addition I also lowered my cholesterol from 230 to 205.
I also, of course noticed a change in how everything fit. Even though I didn't lose a ton, I had to get all new pants & shorts. Everything was way loose. :)

Hope this helps!

Welcome, Tamika75! :) How is BR going so far for you? Definitely take those before measurements & pics. I saw a big difference in that stuff. I couldn't believe the change until I compared my after pic with my before.

Good luck! :)

Hi Tamika75- Welcome, I hope that you enjoy body revolution, I know that I enjoy her workouts...or enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when they are done. I have only been doing it 3 weeks so far but I can already see a difference and feel a difference in my clothes. I know that for me the jump start week was hard but doable. Let us know how are you doing!!

I just read on her FB page that she now is selling stronger bands to use on this set of workouts.

AND she now also has a FREE iPod, iphone, iPad app that you can track calories as well. I only have an adroid base phone so I can't check it out.

@SHAYNES0411 I really enjoyed workouts 5 & 6...I'm used to doing her Ripped in 30 workouts though and I thought they were similar. Cardio 2 isn't THAT much harder, but it depends on your definition. First couple times I did it I was dying in a couple spots (scissor jacks...) but I found her cardio 1 pretty hard too (although the workouts easier in phase1). glad you're noticing a difference already, keep it up!

Hello Everyone,
Just joined today and am looking forward to all the support. I finished week 3 of Body Revolution yesterday. Ready to begin my last week of Phase 1 tomorrow. Is Workout 5 & 6 and Cardio 2 much harder? Not really following the diet plan so far, but have cut down on my eating and what I'm eating. However, I do notice a difference in how my clothes are fitting. I'm excited to read all the posts! Have a great weekend!

Marya81 - first of all, congrats on your progress so far! :) Having done both Body Rev and Insanity, here are my thoughts. Insanity is a great workout (I had many of those almost throw up moments ;-) ), but it is intense and...it is 45-55 min of time. Body Revolution is only 30 min, so that may be more appealing. But it definitely starts out lower. IMHO, Phase 3 of Body Revolution is about where Insanity starts...Phase 1 & 2 of Body Rev are definitely easier than the start of Insanity (plus insanity is longer so even at the first level of it, its harder).

I haven't done P90X so I can't comment there. I will say that after doing all of insanity, it did greatly increase my cardio capability, strength and flexibility. So it does give results :) But if you want to ease into it more, start with Body Rev.

I am confused between Insanity, p90x and Jillians body revolution. I did Jillians 30 day shred...and got amzing results. in 90 days I lost 25 lbs...I started doing JM Ripped in 30 after and didnt see that much results so I wanted to change it up a bit. I think the next step for me is the body rev...however i did try to do insanity for 3 days..and boy did I feel so cranky after..i even wanted to throw up during the workouts. I think I shud take it step by step which is why im switching to body rev. after im done with that..im thinking of doing p90x..since it will give me more muscle definition.

Hello all! I will be starting the total body revolution on September 24th! I am excited and nervous at the same time....

I know I can do this, but I need to have better discipline when I get my "cravings"...especially while I am studying. I was told once that weight loss is driven 80% by diet and only 20% by exercise. Even if this is NOT true, I need something to help remind me that....

You can not work off any diet...

So the culmination of all this jibber-jabber is this: I have now committed myself to maintaining my self-disciple throughout Jillian's 90 day program. Clearly in not being honest with myself in the past, I have missed reaching my goals. It is now time for the big C.H.A.N.G.E....No one can do this for you but yourself.

I am excited to be a part of this blogging community! It is super motivational to see other's success, it makes me want to work hard to share my results as well! I hope we can all find motivation in one another!

Let's get busy!!

Hello, Does anybody have good ideas of what to pack for lunch that would stick with the lots of veggies/lean protein that Jillian seems to lean towards? I am thinking of making another big pot of the veggie soup again. Thanks for any suggestions!

I am going into the end of week two.. So that means I am going to do workout one for the last time today. I'm very happy so far. I notice a lot more muscle definition all over my body. I I haven't lost weight or size.. But my diet hasn't been great. I moved up to 8 lb weights from 5lbs and noticed a big difference! I'm happy I pushed myself.
